In event of selecting construction materials, taking ones found easily around make embodied energy saved. The earth construction could be an eco-friendly engineering from a views of keeping the embodied energy. The pour earth method construction, as one of earth constructions, improves liquidity of earth-mixed properties to build walls or foundations. This study is aimed at evaluating possibilities as to machinery constructions using pumping cars or excavators to be applied on natural non-dried earth which are purchased from sites neighboring to subject building. The study showed that the pumping car used construction was smoothly carried out without any remarkable difficulties and further, a compressed strength was found to keep a certain degree to possibly construct low-story buildings. However, it showed some different levels as to a compressed strength by locations of buildings. In the construction course, we couldn't use remicon plants or a remicon due to field conditions and we are forced to take excavators in compounding or mixing works. But, it is evaluated that actually liquidity or compressed strength will be better than in case of using machineries like remicon plants. These results make us determine that the wall construction using machineries is possible.
Purpose: There have been more researches focused on eco-friendly construction practices in order to save energy consumed and these practices have been extensively applied for constructing buildings. However, researches on energy consumption saving and efficiency for hospital facilities have been still insufficient. This research aims to draw factors that affect energy efficiency of hospital buildings through literature reviews and perform an expert-survey using AHP(Analytical Hierarchy Process) method in order to analyze the importances and priorities of these energy efficient factors. Method: Using the AHP method, this paper suggests the importances and priorities of factors to affect energy efficiency in hospital buildings. The survey of experts at a architectural design and a construction management companies was conducted via e-mail and mail. Result: As a result, factors of window and door, insulation, ventilation, and natural lighting turned out relatively important as respectively 0.104, 0.102, 0.101, and 0.095 n the energy efficiency in hospital buildings, while factors of artificial lighting, geothermal, solar heat, and control did unimportant as 0.027, 0.033, 0.043, and 0.053.

The demands are increasing for the efficient heating and cooling system and thermal comfort environment because of changes in climate and environment, and deterioration of buildings and facilities can cause education budget to increase. So the study to apply heating and cooling system to university is urgently needed to improve an optimum energy saving system, educational environment and convenience of maintenance. For this reason, we selected a university campus in Seoul then came to understand the current situation and found some problems. We drew alternatives from comparative analysis of them. It selects representative building and carries out economic analysis to evaluate characteristics of energy consumption and economics on each type of heating and cooling system. As a result we drew the optimum system from those processes as previously stated. We studied 3 available systems, absorption chiller, EHP(Electric Heat Pump) and GHP(Gas Engine Heat Pump). According to LCC analysis suppose that the value of EHP is 1, it came out that the value of absorption chiller is 1.5 and the value of GHP is 2.2. This study, suggesting the optimum heating and cooling system, will support educational and research activities furthermore effect to maximize energy efficiency. Ultimately it is expected that it will contribute to make eco-friendly Green Campus.
Han-ok has been forgotten by rapid industrialization, however, recent interest in Korean traditional culture and eco friendly architecture are increasing. Government is also processing various policies and research in Han-ok for historical reasons. Still Han-ok is considered as temporary discover stage not daily space. Moreover, previous weakness of Han-ok made it difficult to supply. There is a need to build new Han-ok style public buildings different from traditional or new Han-ok for revitalization of Han-ok. Moreover, development of new Han-ok style public buildings model are needed for the public which include updated concept and function. From public buildings model development and supply people can visit and explore Han-ok. Therefore Han-ok tradition can be modernized. In addition to this Korean traditional culture and mode of living can be developed and conserved. This research focuses on public buildings of Han-ok supplication and aims design elements and regional trend.
In recent days, global shipbuilding companies have been showing great interest in eco-friendly ship products and trying to reduce environmental pollution - harmful gas and dust in shipbuilding process. Following this trend, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) was carried out to an application of shipyards layout. LCA is a technique used to assess environmental impacts during the life cycle of products and systems. Until now, LCA has been used through ISO 14040 in somewhat limited industries, such as Building Life Cycle Assessment. Thus, this study analyzes the shipyard layout planning framework and builds life cycle inventory along with the simulation model structure to evaluate environmental impacts.
Government efforts for green growth policy initiatives demand low-carbon technologies in the road construction industry. The purpose of this paper is to develop an algorithm of a road alignment design solution for establishing the multi-dimensional information, and to calculate carbon emission quantity due to the geometric design elements in the planning phase of road alignment. The paper developed a calculation method for carbon emission quantity by drawing a speed profile reflected in the operating speed, acceleration and deceleration, which are majors factor of carbon emissions while driving and by applying a carbon emission factor. From this effort, it enabled alignment planning to reduce carbon emission. Object-based parametric design methods of the cross-sections were proposed for alignment planning, and the paper demonstrated a BIM-based road alignment planning solution. The proposed solutions can provide multi-dimensional information on carbon emission quantity and cross section elements through driving simulation. It is expected to allow construction of eco-friendly roads by deriving optimal road alignment to minimize environmental costs.

Therefore, in this paper, policy priorities related to the introduction of MASS were identified, and response strategies for each industry were set up, and a policy plan for establishing a smart maritime logistics system covering shipping, port and shipbuilding fields was proposed.
Purpose: This study aims to explore the impact of green products' claim skepticism on green purchase intention and further investigates the moderating role of environmental concern in the relationship. This study, by drawing the persuasion knowledge model expected that ambiguity avoidance penalizes less familiar brands than familiar brands. Further, the present study building on Hofstede's cultural dimension, specifically, uncertainty avoidance, undertook a scenario to understand any difference that exist between uncertainty avoidance cultural groups. This study also investigates gender differences in green claim skepticism and proclivity to purchase green products. Research design, data, and methodology: For analyzing the relationship relevant hypotheses were designed, and R-programming software was used. To test the hypotheses two independent sample t-test and regression analysis were carried out. Results: The results suggest that consumers' skepticism toward green claims influenced the intention to purchase eco-friendly products. The study finding also confirms the effect is moderated by environmental concern. Also, the findings of two scenarios reveal that consumers in high uncertainty avoidance culture exhibited a greater level of skepticism for green print advertising and green packaging claims when the brand in the advertising and packaging was unfamiliar than when it was familiar. Conclusions: To alter the negative effect of skepticism the consumer should believe the environmental claims are valid so that they can contribute to solving sustainability issues.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the utilization forms of hydrogen fuel cells, which are the core of building a smart city, and suggest ways to solve them. In the case of power plants to utilize hydrogen fuel cell, it was analyzed as the most promising form of use in the future due to the advantage of being free from intermittence problems. However, despite many advantages, local residents' opposition continues to emerge due to concerns about explosions and the problem of carbon dioxide generation in the case of certain hydrogen production methods, and it is analyzed that resolving them will be the main key to establishing the smart city. Finally, by analyzing the current hydrogen production method and identifying the problems facing it, the solution for the complete construction of the smart city was presented.

Recently, due to the rapid spread and continuation of COVID-19, customer demand for health and hygiene has increased, requiring the development of new products that express antiviral and antibacterial properties. In particular, viruses are much smaller in size than bacteria and have a fast propagation speed, making it difficult to kill. POSCO has developed eco-friendly PCM color coated steel sheets with excellent antiviral properties by introducing inorganic composite materials to the color coating layer on the surface of Zn-Al-Mg alloy plated steels. The virus is not only destroyed by adsorption of metal ions released from the surface of the coating film, but is also further promoted by the generation of reactive oxygen species by the reaction of metal ions and moisture. As a result of evaluating the developed products under the International Standard Evaluation Act, the microbicidal activity was 99.9% for viruses, and 99.99% for bacteria and 0% fungi. In particular, excellent results were also shown in the durability evaluation for life cycle of the product. The developed product was applied as a wall of school classrooms and toilets and ducts for building air conditioning, resulting in excellent results. Developed products are being applied for construction and home appliances to practice POSCO's corporate citizenship.
