LPL EGR System 적용 대형 디젤엔진의 EURO-5 NOx 규제대응에 관한 연구 (Study on Low Pressure Loop EGR System for Heavy-duty Diesel Engine to Meet EURO-5 NOx Regulation)

  • Recently, many small and medium size diesel vehicles have been equipped with turbocharger and EGR system to get high performance and reduce $NO_x$ emissions but its application to heavy-duty diesel engine is not common yet. In this work, the simulation model for EURO-3 engine was developed using WAVE and then its performance and emission level were verified by comparing with experimental results. The possibility of current EURO-3 engine equipped with LPL EGR system which would be satisfied the EURO-5 regulation are examined. ESC 13 mode was chosen as the primary engine test mode, and the injection timing and fuel quantity were changed to compensate the lost engine performance caused by EGR. The system developed in this study shows that the current EURO-3 engine could satisfy EURO-5 $NO_x$ regulation by applying LPL EGR.

Declining Japanese Yen in the Changing International Monetary System

  • The US dollar has kept as a position of key currency in the global economy in the changing international monetary system where the euro was introduced to some states of the EU in 1999. It is an evidence of inertia of the US dollar as a key currency. Our previous study (Ogawa and Muto, 2017b) conducted empirical analysis to investigate effects of several events on inertia of the US dollar. One of our findings was that the introduction of the euro increased utility of euro while utility of US dollar was kept unchanged. This paper examines the effects of the global financial crisis and the euro zone crisis as well as the introduction of the euro on the utility of the Japanese yen. The introduction of the euro significantly decreased the utility of the Japanese yen. It indicates that the introduction of the euro increased the utility of the euro while reducing the utility of the Japanese yen rather than the utility of the US dollar. The utility of the Japanese yen has significantly decreased while the global financial crisis and the euro zone crisis occurred. The Japanese yen has a declining trend in terms of its utility over time in the changing international monetary system.

EuroSID-1에서 EuroSID-2로의 인체모형 변경이 KNCAP 측면충돌안전성 평가에 미치는 영향 연구 (Effect of Changing the Side Impact Dummy from EuroSID-1 to EuroSID-2 in the KNCAP Side Impact Evaluation)

  • In order to provide consumers with safety informations of vehicles according to the Korean New Car Assessment Program(KNCAP), the evaluation results and the star ratings of 21 vehicles for the side impact tests have been reported since 2003. Now, the KNCAP considers changing the side impact dummy from EuroSID-1 to EuroSID-2 near future. The rib deflection of EuroSID-2 is 20-30% higher than that of EuroSID-1 because of the removal of "Flat Tops" effect. In this study, the effect of changing the side impact dummy from EuroSID-1 to EuroSID-2 in the KNCAP side impact evaluation is estimated through the previous KNCAP evaluation results. The results show that the decrease of the star ratings would be one star($\bigstar$) approximately.

주행 경로의 가혹도에 따른 소형 경유 자동차의 배출 특성 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Emission Characteristics for Light-duty Diesel Vehicle According to the Severity of the Test Route)

  • The EU (European Union) was introduced Euro-6e in 2023. Recently, the EU prepare to introduce Euro-7. One of difference Euro-6e and Euro-7 is test route condition. This study developed 5 test routes that have different characteristics and severity. The severity of test routes was made by traffic and road gradient. And this study was conducted RDE test on 5 test routes for Light-Duty diesel vehicle (Euro-6d). Based on the test results, the emission characteristics of CO2 and NOx were analyzed according to the severity of the test routes. Especially, 4 test routes were satisfied normal driving condition of Euro-7 and other test route was satisfied extended driving condition of Euro-7.

  • EGR system has been widely used to reduce NOx emission in light duty diesel engines, but its application to heavy duty diesel engine is not common yet. In this study, simulation model for EURO-3 engine was developed using commercial code WAVE and then verified by comparison with experimental results in performance and emission. Possibility to meet EURO-4 regulation using modified EURO-3 engine with LPL EGR system was studied. Each components of the engine was modeled using CATIA and WaveMesher. The engine test mode was ESC 13 and injection timing and quantity were changed to compensate engine performances, because applying EGR causes power reduction. As a results of the simulation, it was found that EURO-4 NOx regulation could be achieved by applying LPL EGR system to current EURO-3 engine even with some BSFC deterioration.

An Exponential GARCH Approach to the Effect of Impulsiveness of Euro on Indian Stock Market

  • This paper examines the effect of impulsiveness of euro on Indian stock market. In order to examine the problem, we select rupee-euro exchange rates and S&P CNX NIFTY and BSE30 SENSEX to represent stock price. We select euro as it considered as second most widely used currency at the international level after dollar. The data are collected a daily basis over a period of 3-Apr-2007 to 30-Mar-2012. The statistical and time series properties of each and every variable have examined using the conventional unit root such as ADF and PP test. Adopting a generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity (GARCH) and exponential GARCH (EGARCH) model, the study suggests a negative relationship between exchange rate and stock prices in India. Even though India is a major trade partner of European Union, the study couldn't find any significant statistical effect of fluctuations in Euro-rupee exchange rates on stock prices. The study also reveals that shocks to exchange rate have symmetric effect on stock prices and exchange rate fluctuations have permanent effects on stock price volatility in India.

  • 1999년 유로존(Eurozone)은 단일통화 출현을 목표로 출범하였다. 유로화(Euro)의 사용은 회원국들에게 있어 GDP의 약 1%에 이르는 환전비용과 환위험 관리비용을 제거하였다. 또한 안정적인 역내 물가수준을 유지할 수 있었고 저금리 기조를 유지하며 투자와 고용의 촉진이 이루어졌다. 유로화의 국제적 위상에서도 세계 외환보유고 비중이 2010년 기준 26.9%로 제2위의 기축통화국으로 자리매김하였다. 역내 회원국들 간에도 환율 고정에 따른 환율 위험을 떨어드려 투자와 경제성장을 유도하였다. 특히나 금융시장에서는 거래비용의 감소로 유로화의 수요가 증가하였고 교역에서도 대금지급수단으로 유로화가 사용됨으로써 교역증가로 인한 단일시장 효과를 유발하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 EU내 단일통화 사용이 회원국들 간의 수출과 수입에 미치는 파급효과에 대해 임의효과모형(random effect estimation)과 고정효과모형(fixed effect estimation)으로 분석해 보았다.

  • 최근 글로벌 금융위기로 미 달러의 신인도 하락에 따른 환율의 불안정성은 많은 다른 국가들에게 경기침체와 교역 감소 등 많은 경제적 피해를 주고 있다. 하지만 유로화를 사용하고 있는 유로존(eurozone) 회원국들은 제2위의 기축통화국에 따른 유로존 우산효과로 경제적 손실이 비교적 작았다. 이런 이유로 1999년 1월 12개국으로 출범한 유로존은 2009년 슬로바키아의 가입과 함께 덴마크, 스웨덴, 영국 등이 회원국 가입을 희망하고 있고 갈수록 확대될 전망이다. 국가들 간 통화통합에 따른 단일통화 사용은 동종 상품의 가격비교가 용의해져 경쟁효과 발생에 따른 소비자의 후생증진이 이루어진다. 또한 통화교환비용과 환리스크 제거로 국가 간 교역의 역기능적 요소가 사라져 교역 증대가 이루어진다. 따라서 유럽 국가들이 유로화 도입으로 어느 정도의 교역효과가 유발되는지 분석해 보기 위해 임의효과모형(random effect estimation)과 고정효과모형(fixed effect estimation)을 사용하였다.

EURO5형 오버플로어 밸브 성능평가 모니터링 시스템 구현 (Performance Evaluation Monitoring System of EURO5 Type Valve for Overflow)

  • 본 연구에서는 EURO5형 엔진의 오버플루밸브 성능평가를 위해 IEEE802 프로토콜기반의 성능평가 및 모니터링 시스템을 개발한다. 기존 EURO3 및 4형 자동차 엔진의 친환경 조건이 강화됨에 따라 엔진오일의 안정한 주입분사가 가능하도록 EURO5 오버플로 밸브를 설계하였다. 오버플로를 생산하는 기술은 정해진 규격에 맞는 제품이 되도록 정밀한 측정의 평가시스템 개발이 중요하다. 특히 정밀제어에 따른 성능평가는 연비가 향상되고, 환경규제를 만족한다. 이에 정밀측정 성능검사기는 10cc 미만에서 3.0 bar, 150 cc 이상에서 3.3 bar, 250 cc이상에서 4.0 bar를 사용하여 시험하고, 평가 알고리즘을 제시한다.

  • Presently, the apartment house is being constructed by the very various methods. Among them, the formwork having the process rate of 60~70% of the whole construction work is most important. So this study was analyzed comparing euro-form with aluminium-form in the formwork. A case study is using euro-form and aluminum-form in the framework, inquiry into a similar case construction site of below the 20 floor. Then this case analyzed efficiency; construction period, construction cost, workability. Consequently, the aluminum-form is more effective than the euro-form in the construction site of below the 20 floor.
