This study is an experimental study comparing the psycho-physiological response differences of subjects according to the rapport building in polygraph tests. We randomly assigned 84 adults into a 2(veracity: Truth vs. Lie) x 2(rapport; Rapport building vs. Non-rapport building) between-subject design and measured ESS total scores as psycho-physiological responses. In order to manipulate the veracity conditions, participants in the truthful condition were told to tell their actual scores on several simple tasks but those in the lie condition were asked to tell higher scores than their actual scores. Afterwards all participants were polygraph tested in the order of pre-interview and main examination. The rapport conditions were manipulated by structured pre-interview scripts. As a result, there were significant differences in the examinee's total ESS scores depending on the veracity and rapport conditions. For truth-tellers, the ESS total scores were greater in the positive(+) direction in the rapport building condition than in the non-rapport building condition, indicating a prominent true response in the former condition. For liars, however, the ESS total scores were not significantly greater in the negative(-) direction in the rapport building condition than in the non-rapport building condition. Based on this study's results, we discussed the importance of rapport building in the pre-interview phase of a polygraph test and the need to operationalize verbal and non-verbal rapport building techniques.
Purpose: In this study, we apply environmental stress screening (ESS) to battle management system (BMS) of a tank and use the ESS profile based on production process data, guided by MIL-HDBK-781/344/2164. Methods: To optimize ESS Profile of the BMS of a tank, we estimate ESS model parameters (e.g., defect density, screening strength) using primary production failure reporting and corrective action system (FRACAS) data of military supply contract firm. Results: First, we collect the Primary production FRACAS data of military supply contract firm. Second, we compute curve fitting approach to find patent defect density and latent defect density using FRACAS data. Third, we solve the equation of Defect Density(patent defect density + latent defect density)($D_{IN}$) and Screening Strength(SS) Using second step data. As a result of analysis according to the order, we calculate $D_{IN}$(Temperature stress case : 74.02, Vibration stress : 10.252) and : SS(Temperature stress case : 0.4632, Vibration stress : 0.4142) and confirm the Condition II-D based on MIL-HDBK-344. According to Condition II-D, it is necessary to modify existing ESS profile through decreasing the $D_{IN}$ and increasing the SS. Conclusion: Identification of defect causes through ESS approach reduce defect densities for production. It provides feedback to a lessons-learned data base to avoid similar problems on next generation tank BMS.

Recently, standardization of installation progress and technology of site acceptance test(SAT) for energy storage system(ESS) are being required due to performance of ESS depending on working condition and environment even though the quality and safety of each component of ESS is guaranteed. And also, it has been required to perform not only performance testing by H/W equipments but also performance verification by S/W tool, in order to more accurately and reliably validate the performance of the ESS in advanced countries. Therefore, this paper proposes evaluation algorithm for SAT to evaluate performance of ESS and presents modeling of SAT test equipment for ESS by using PSCAD/EMTDC. Furthermore, 30[kW] scaled portable test equipments is implemented based on the proposed algorithm and modeling. From the various simulation and test results, it is confirmed that performance of ESS related to characteristics of capacity and Round-trip efficiency, Duty-cycle efficiency, low voltage ride through(LVRT) and Anti-islanding can be accurately evaluated and that the simulation results of PSCAD/EMTDC are identical to test results of 30[kW] test equipment.

As ESS safety issues increase recently, there is a need to more precisely monitor the temperature of the ESS. In this paper, DTS technology for temperature monitoring of ESS batteries is introduced and the temperature measurement principle is explained. The temperature of the battery module is measured using the DTS system, and the thermal deviation between battery cells inside the battery module is analyzed. In order to analyze how thermal imbalance affects the charging and discharging performance of the battery, an accelerated degradation test was conducted. Cycle life characteristics analysis, battery surface temperature change, and AC impedance characteristics were conducted to analyze how the performance of battery cells differs according to temperature conditions.
Purpose: Burning mouth syndrome (BMS) is ambiguous and enigmatic oral condition. Sleep disturbance is one of the most prevalent complaints of patients with chronic pain. The aim of this study was to estimate general sleep characteristics and propensity in patients with BMS. Methods: A total of thirty BMS patients and thirty healthy control subjects were investigated. Self-reported measures of sleep quality were conducted using two widely used methods; the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS). Data were analyzed with one-way ANOVA, chi-square, Fisher's exact test, Kruskal-Wallis test, Holm method with 95% confidence interval and p<0.05 significant level. Results: BMS patients showed more poor sleepers than those in control subjects in both ESS and PSQI test. BMS patients also showed statistically significant poorer sleep quality compared with control subjects in both test. When BMS group were divided into three groups on the basis of numeric rating scale, the higher score subjects had, the more mean rank they had in the PSQI. Conclusions: BMS patients showed up poor sleep characteristics and propensity than control group, and they also showed the more severe the pain was, the worse the sleep quality was.

BIPV or BAPV installation applied to building is increasing through public utility mandates enterprise. Solar PV energy generates only during the day, but if it is operated in convergence with ESS, which stores electrical energy, it can restrain the fossil energy used in buildings throughout the day. A solution is to converge with PV system and ESS. However, PV systems and ESS connected to the power grid in parallel can cause problems of electrical stability. A study was conducted on the case of failure to detect islanding operation under the parallel operation of PV generation and ESS that are connected in parallel to power grid. Experiments conducted various non-islanding detections under the operating conditions. In the experiment results, when one PCS - PV inverter or ESS inverter - was operating under the islanding condition, it stopped working within 0.5 seconds of the Korean grid standard. However, when both of PV inverter and ESS inverter were operating at the same time under the islanding situation, the anti-islanding algorithm did not operate normally and both inverters continuously supplied power to the connected RLC loads. islanding detection Algorithm developed by each inverter manufacturer has caused this phenomenon. Therefore, this paper presented a new test standard for islanding detection.

This paper focuses on the thermal design of a signal processor in Micro-Wave Seeker. High temperature environment and ESS(Environmental Stress Screening) test condition should be considered in designing a signal processor. First, we performed the thermal analysis to know conditions under which a signal processor is thermally reliable. As a result of thermal analysis, we found that adopting heat transfer block to the thermally fragile components is most efficient, because the heat transfer block can control the thermal loads of the individual components. Next, we verified this solution by numerical simulation and experiment and concluded that thermal reliability of a signal processor can be achieved. Maximum temperature difference between numerical simulation and experiment is about $2^{\circ}C$.

Until now, 29 fire accidents have occurred; 22 of them were caused by the interconnection of renewable energy sources that occurred during the rest period after the lithium-ion battery had been fully charged regardless of the seasons. The fire accidents of ESS were attributed to thermal runaway due to the overcharging of a few cells with the phenomenon of self-energy balancing, which is unintentional current flow from cells with a high SOC to the low cells if the SOC condition of each cell connected in parallel is different. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel configuration and operation algorithm of the BMS to prevent the self-energy balancing of ESS and presents a hybrid SOC estimation algorithm. From the test results of the self-energy balancing phenomenon between aging and normal cells based on the proposed algorithm and BMS, it was confirmed the possibility of self-energy balancing, which is unintentional current flow from cells with a high SOC to cells with a low SOC. In addition, the proposed configuration of the BMS is useful and practical to improve the safety of lithium-ion batteries because the BMS can reliably disconnect a parallel connection of the cells if the self-energy balancing current becomes excessively high.

This paper suggests a system that can detect malfunctions of the temperature testing equipment, and then notify this information to surroundings using arduino. Precision electronics need a test under extremely high/low temperature using temperature called a chamber. If this chamber have a malfunction situation, the precision electronics under test is damaged and scrapped. Especially when the temperature test is automatically conducted at night with no representative, this system monitors the actual temperature of the tested product in real-time by attaching a temperature sensor to the inside of the test equipment. In case when it is out of the temperature range set up by the tester, the damage to high-priced products can be prevented in the condition of extremely high/low temperature, by turning off the power of the temperature testing equipment, and also notifying this information to the worker at night-time. Regardless of the equipment manufacturers, proposed system in this paper can be applied to all kind of temperature testing equipments, and it can be also produced for low cost.
