Bifidobacterium과 기타 장내 세균에 의한 두유 배양 비교 (Comparison of Cultured Soymilk by Bifidobacterium and Various Human Intestinal Bacteria)

  • Bifidobacterium과 기타 장내 세균을 두유에 배양하여 배양특성을 살펴보았다. 균주들은 다음과 같이 Bifidobacterium longum, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bacteroides fragilis, Eubacterium limosum, Clostridium perfringens, E. coli.를 사용하였다. 이들중 B. longum만이 높은 활성의 ${\alpha}-galactosidase$를 생산해 두유의 주요 당인 raffinose와 stachyose를 이용하였고 가장 높은 산 생성을 보여주었다. 16시간 배양후에 B. longum은 $1.5{\times}10^{8}\;CFU$에 이르렀다. 또한 B. longum은 ${\alpha}-galactosidase$이외에 ${\alpha}-galactosidase$${\beta}-galactosidase$의 활성도 다른 균주에 비하여 가장 높았다.

Antimicrobial susceptibility pattern of Lawsonia intracellularis recently isolated from pig with proliferative hemorrhagic enteropathy in Korea

  • The objective of this study was to determine the in vitro intracellular and extracellular minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of 13 antimicrobials against one recently isolate Lawsonia intracellularis, the etiological agent of proliferative enteropathy (PE). The final MICs were assessed by counting the number of heavily infected cells (HICs;>30 bacteria per cell) using an immunoperoxidase monolayer assay. Enrofloxacin (InMIC; 1~2 ㎍/mL and ExMIC; 16 ㎍/mL) still presented the most notable antimicrobial susceptibility, and marbofloxacin (2 ㎍/mL and 8 ㎍/mL) was followed. Colistin (0.25 ㎍/mL and 2 ㎍/mL) presented a susceptibility followed by tylvalosin (1 ㎍/mL and 2 ㎍/mL). Florfenicol and lincomycin had the weakest susceptibility and amoxicillin, penicillin G, chlortetracycline, oxytetracycline, tiamulin, tilmicosin, and tylosin displayed weak susceptibility. Although some antibiotics showed decreased susceptibility patterns, they showed similar patterns to recent antibiotic susceptibility patterns in Korea. In addition, these results could be one of contributions in clinical fields.

DFT를 이용한 계통연계 인버터 시스템의 고정밀 계측 (High Precise Measurement of Grid-Connected Inverter using DFT)

  • A precise measurement of the grid voltage is one of the essential techniques, which is required to connect a renewable energy to the grid. In general, when a filter is used to eliminate unnecessary harmonics and noises, a signal is distorted by phase delay, amplitude attenuation, and other distortions. And the response characteristic of a controller is directly affected by bandwidth of cut-off frequency of the filter. To alleviate this problems, we propose an effective algorithm based on DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform) instead of approaching the filter application. The proposed algorithm ensures high precise measurement of the grid voltage because it can extract the fundamental and harmonics from the raw signal without any distortions. The high performance of the proposed algorithm is verified by PSIM simulation and experiments of Grid-Connected VSI.

Isolation and Identification of Weissella kimchii from Green Onion by Cell Protein Pattern Analysis

  • This study was conducted to investigate the potential origin of Weissella species, which were found in ingredients of kimchi, such as salted Chinese cabbage, radish, green onion, red pepper powder, pickled shrimps, garlic, and ginger. Ten strains of Weissella species (Weissella thailandensis, W. kimchii, W. koreensis, W. minor, W. halotolerans, W. hellenica, W. kandleri, W. confusa, W. viridescens, and W. paramesenteroides) and lactic acid bacteria isolated from ingredients of kimchi were analyzed by SDS-PAGE of whole-cell proteins. Several strains with patterns identical to those of Weissella kimchii were isolated from green onion. On the basis of biochemical characteristics and 16S rDNA sequence comparisons, these strains were identified as Weissella kimchii, suggesting green onion as a major origin of Weissella kimchii found in kimchi.

전신 마취 후 발생한 고양이의 일시적인 급성 시력상실 1례 (Acute Temporary Visual Loss after General Anesthesia in a Cat)

  • A 2-year-old, castrated male, Scottish fold cat was referred to Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital of Seoul National University (VMTH-SNU) for evaluation of acute bilateral blindness after general anesthesia. For dental prophylaxis in local animal hospital, general anesthesia had been induced with intravenous acepromazine and ketamine, and maintained with isoflurane after intubation. At VMTH-SNU on next day, complete blood count, electrolytes and serum chemistry values were within normal ranges. On neurologic examination, visual placing and postural reactions like as hopping, hemiwalking and wheelborrowing were reduced on right hindlimb. On ophthalmic examination, menace responses were absent on both eyes and pupillary light reflex (PLR) reduced on right eye, but other reflex and fundus were normal. Prednisolone (2 mg/kg sid for 3 days) was administrated orally and tapered. Visual placing was possible on 2nd day, and postural reactions were recovered on 4th day after dental prophylaxis. Based on the process and recovery, this case was considered as postoperative visual loss (POVL) after general anesthesia.

비강에서 생긴 신경초종 1예 (A Case of Schwannoma of Nasal Cavity)

  • 신경초종은 전신의 말이집신경 중 어디에서나 발생할 수 있는 말초신경집 양성종양이다. 이 종양이 비강에서 발생하는 것은 흔하지 않다. 저자들은 뇌경색으로 입원하고 있던 55세 여자환자에서 다량의 비출혈을 동반한 비강 신경집종 1예를 보고하는 바이다. 부비강 컴퓨터단층촬영사진상 좌측비강과 비인두를 채우는 비균질한 저음영의 거대 종양이 관찰되었고 뼈의 재형성 역시 관찰되었다. 내시경 생검을 시행하였다. 병리검사상, 난원형의 경계가 좋은 병변이 편평상피로 화생된 비강 점막 아래에서 관찰되었고, 종양은 물결모양의 핵을 가진 방추세포로 이루어져 있었고, 방추형의 핵들이 밀집하게 모여있는 Antoni A 부분과 세포의 수가 적으며 허술하게 뭉쳐있는 Antoni B 부분으로 이루어져 있었으며 S-100 단백질 면역염색에 양성이었다. 비강의 신경초종으로 진단하였다. 따라서, 흔하지 않게 접하게 되는 비강 신경초종의 임상양상, 감별진단, 및 치료에 대해 알아보고자 한다.

두경부에서 발생한 점막피부 혈관근육지방종 3예 : HMB-45와 Melan-A에 대한 면역화학검사 특징 (Three Cases of Mucocutaneous Angiomyolipoma in the Head and Neck Region with Reference to the HMB-45 and Melan-A Immunohistochemistry)

  • 혈관근육지방종은 지방, 평활근, 두꺼운 벽의 혈관이 다양한 비율로 구성된 흔하지 않은 과오종이며, 이는 결정 경화증을 동반하거나 산발적으로 발생한다. 저자들은 혈관근육지방종이 드물게 발생하는 두경부에서 발생한 귓바퀴 1예, 구개점막 2예의 혈관근육지방종을 보고하고자 한다. 병리소견상, 3예 모두에서 성숙지방조직, 불규칙한 혈관, 그리고 HMB-45와 Melan-A에 음성을 보이는 평활근육세포로 이루어진 조직소견을 보였으며, 여러군데에서 림프구 침윤이 3예 모두에서 관찰되었다. 점막피부 혈관근육지방종으로 진단하였다. 세증례 모두 결절경화증은 동반되지 않았다. 점막피부 혈관근육지방종에서는 혈관주변세포가 HMB-45와 Melan-A에서 음성을 보였으며, 이는 간이나 신장의 혈관근육지방종에서의 특징적인 양성반응과는 다른 점이었다. 간이나 신장에서 생긴 혈관근육지방종과 다른 임상병리적 특징을 비교 기술하고자 두경부에서 발생한 점막피부 혈관근육지방종 3예를 보고한다.

보안성을 겸비한 전이중방식의 다중레벨 통신드라이브에 관한 연구 (A Study on Multilevel Communication Drive of Full-Duplex Method with Security)

  • Currently, the industry uses MODBUS communication method using RS485 as a communication method used when constructing distributed equipment and networks. However, this method has a rather good transmission and reception distance, but has a disadvantage of being a half-duplex communication method. Therefore, there is a great need for a full-duplex communication method that can simultaneously transmit and receive two-wire communications. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new communication hardware equipment that can implement full-duplex communication method by communication signal level to overcome the disadvantage of communication speed. The proposed communication hardware is a structure that can transmit and receive at the same time on the same communication line in two equipments communicating in a two-wire system. The characteristic of this communication hardware is that the transmitter generates two-level signal for data transmission, but the receiver generates three-level electric signal according to the status of the transmission data generated by the receiver. The data transmission signal information of the receiver is present at the same time. Therefore, the receiving side can analyze the received signal based on the information on the current transmission signal and can analyze the signal only in the two communicating devices, so it can be seen that the communication security is very excellent.

한국인의 분변으로 부터 Bacteroides를 분리하기 위한 선택 배지 조사 (Investigation of Selective Medium for Isolation and Enumeration of Bacteroides sp. from the Feces of the Korean People)

  • Bacteroides는 대장의 상재균총 중 가장 많이 존재하는 균이다. 본 연구에서는 Bacteroides를 분리하여 동정하고 이들 균주들에 대하여 BL배지와 EG배지를 기본 배지로 하여 항생제 및 대사저해제에 대한 감수성 조사를 한 결과 vancomycin은 Bacteroides와 대장균 이외의 장내균들의 생육을 저해하는 것으로 나타났다. 성인에서 대장균은 Bacteroides에 비하여 숫적으로 훨씬 적게 존재하기 때문에 vancomycin이 첨가된 VA배지를 선택배지로 조제하여 한국인을 대상으로 기존의 NBGT 선택배지와 비교한 결과 선택성이 거의 동일한 것으로 나타났고 유아의 경우에는 VA배지가 NBGT보다 우수하였다.

조명조건의 변화에 따른 검사작업자의 정신적 피로도 분석 (Analysis of Mental Fatigue of Inspection Workers under Various Lighting Conditions)

  • Inspection works are mainly carried out with the help of human sensory organs and are relatively simple and repetitive, so that the workers easily become to feel fatigue and monotony, and their mental activity levels attenuate. Consequently, during the work time, it is natural that various lighting conditions around the workplaces may have in-fluence on work performance. This study aimed to analyze cortical fatigue of inspection workers. Thus, an inspection work was simulated on a computer monitor under various lighting conditions, and CFF, EEG, EOG, and HRV were analyzed. According to the results, fatigue symptoms turned up about $60{\sim}90$ minutes after the onset of the work. The work performance also decreased when the fatigue symptoms due to lighting conditions turned up. The variations of fatigue and work performance were affected by illuminators, illumination levels, or interaction of those two factors. The spiral fluorescent lamp seemed improper to the inspection work, because the work performance under that condition was lower than under any other illuminators.
