Safety Schematic Diagram and Sequence of Heater in FPD Wet Equipment (FPD 장비 습식공정에서의 안전한 히터 공급 계통도 및 제어 회로)

  • In FPD WET equipment, heaters are used a lot. There are many electric accidents caused by short circuit and overheating due to the use of heater, so it is necessary to have a safe electric system and interlock. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an electrical schematic and interlock for FPD WET equipment. In this paper, a hardware interlock such as a level sensor, an overheat protector, and an SSR heater sink is inserted, and the electric system is composed of ELB - MC - SSR - EOCR - heater. When the interlock occurs, the magnetic contactor (MC) is turned off and the power of the heater is cut off.EOCR, an electric overcurrent protection device, has an interlock to shut down the MC when there is an abnormality in the heater while checking the overcurrent, undercurrent and disconnection. These circuit configurations and interlocks are likely to be useful not only for WET equipment but also for any equipment in which the heater is placed.

  • 본 연구에서는 일반 산업현장에서 동력원으로 가장 편리하게 사용하고 있는 장치인 모터의 결함을 사전에 모니터링하기위한 연구를 수행하였다. 기존의 EOCR(electronic over Current relays)을 통해 모터의 전기적 결함에 따른 모터보호 및 전기적 결함측정뿐만 아니라 모터의 절연저항, 구동시간, MC(magnet contactor) 접점횟수, 베어링온도측정, 모터회전수 측정 등 전기적 결함과 기계적 결함을 동시에 모니터링 할 수 있는 다기능 모터보호장치를 구현하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 다기능 모터보호장치의 데이터입력 및 제어장치, 디스플레이 및 인터페이스 장치를 구현하였고, 실제 MCC시스템과의 연동을 통해 동작특성평가를 수행하였다. 인위적인 전기적 결함 및 기계적 결함을 유발시키고 이를 검출하는 모의실험을 수행한 결과 전기적 결함과 기계적 결함 각각에 대해 100% 검출 가능함을 확인하였다.

  • Electrical power distribution is consists of high voltage, low voltage and motor control center(MCC). Motor control centers involves turning the motor on and off, it is configured electronic over current relay to detect a motor overcurrent flows. Existing electronic over current relay detects electrical fault such as overcurrent, undercurrent, phase sequence, negative sequence current, current unbalance and earth fault. However, it is difficult to detect mechanical fault such as locked rotor, motor stator and rotor and bearing fault. In this paper, we propose a condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system for electrical and mechanical fault detection of rotating machinery. The proposed system is designed with signal input and control part, system interface part and data acquisition board for condition monitoring and fault diagnosis, it was possible to detect electrical fault and mechanical fault through measurement and control of insulation resistance, locked rotor, MC counter and bearing temperature.

Characteristic of Current and Temperature according to Normal and Abnormal Operations at Induction Motor of 2.2 kW and 3.7 kW (2.2 kW와 3.7 kW 유도전동기의 정상과 구속운전에 따른 전류 및 온도 특성)

  • This study analyzed the current and temperature characteristics of major components of an induction motor during normal and abnormal operations as functions of the difference in the rated capacities of medium and large-sized motors widely used in industrial settings. The temperature rise equation of the induction motor winding was derived through locked-rotor operation experiments and linear regression analysis. When the ambient temperature is 40 ℃, the time to reach 155 ℃, the temperature limit of the insulation class (F class) of the winding of the induction motor, was confirmed to be 48 seconds for the 2.2 kW induction motor and 39 seconds for the 3.7 kW induction motor. This means that when the rated capacity is large or the installation environment is high temperature, the time to reach the temperature limit of the insulation class during locked-rotor operation is short, and the risk of insulation deterioration and fire is high. In addition, even if the EOCR (Electronic Over Current Relay) is installed, if the setting time is excessively set, the EOCR does not operate even if the normal and locked-rotor operation of the induction motor is repeated, and the temperature limit of the insulation grade of the winding of the induction motor is exceeded. The results of this study can be used for preventive measures such as the promotion of electrical and mechanical measures for the failure of induction motors and fire prevention in industrial sites, or the installation of fire alarm systems.
