As the products of internet appliance, such as digital TV, internet set-top box, and internet phone, are continually produced, the market of real time operating system which controls those products is being highly increased. ETRI developed the extensible real time operating system, Qplus-P, which can be used from PDA to internet set-top box and home server. This paper describes the design and implementation of C standard library for real-time operating system Qplus-P. The Qplus-P C standard library follows EL/IX API level, which is proposed to the real-time operating system international standard by the RedHat. And, the C standard library functions, which are needed to support the Tiny-X and Kaffe, are also implemented. The implemented C standard library can reduce the size of library about 30% compare to the C library that does not follow EL/IX API level.

As the new technologies, such as IEEE 1394, USB, Bluetooth, PLC are appeared, the embedded real time operating system which is satisfied the various technologies is needed. This paper proposed and implemented C standard library which is independently used in real time operating system and which supports an application development interface. The proposed C standard library is based on EL/IX, an Embedded Linux API based on POSIX, which is suitable for other embedded operating systems as well. And because the proposed C standard library has four level, it supports various Internet appliances, such as digital TV, settop box. The developed C library is tested at Qplus-P real time operating system which is developed at ETRI.

N-(2-Amamantyl)-N-(5-arylhydrazono-6-methyl-4-oxopyrimidin-2-yl) guanidines (IIIa, b), 2-(2-admantyl-amino)-4-amino-s-triazine (IVa) and its 6-chloromethyl derivative (IVb) were prepared by cylization of 1-(2-admantyl) biguanide HCl (I) with ethyl 2-arylhydrazono-3-oxobutyrates (II), ethyl formate and ethyl chloroacetate, respectively. Where 1-(2-admantyl)-3-(4, 5-dioxo-2-imidazolidinylidene)guanidine (V) was used as intermediate for the synthesis of amides (VIIa, b), hydrazide (VIII) and azomethine derivatives (IX, b) of alkyl 2-(2-admantyl-amino)-4-amino-2-triazine-6-carboxylates (VI a, b). The antimicrobial testing of the prepared compounds proved that compound 1Xb was the most active. It showed a marked bacteriostatic effect against Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis.
