연안해역의 해상교통환경에 관한 연구

  • 최근 우리나라는 해상 물동량 증가, 조선경기의 호황, 해양레저의 수요증가 등으로 인해 해상에서의 선박 교통량이 점점 증가 하고, 선박도 대형화가 되어가는 추세로서, 해상에서의 사고 개연성과 대형사고의 발생가능성이 높아지고 있다. 또한 허베이스피리트호의 사고에서 알 수 있듯이 연안에서 일어난 해양사고는 막대한 경제적 피해를 가져왔다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 영해를 포함한 EEZ해역에서의 선박통항량과 해양사고를 조사하여, 해상교통환경을 분석했다.

  • 한반도 주변 3개 해역은 서로 다른 지형과 다양한 해류의 교차로 종다양성의 근간이 된다. 또한, 복잡한 해류가 만나는 전선 주변으로는 좋은 어장이 형성된다. 그러나, 남획에 의한 자원의 감소 및 EEZ 발효에 의한 어장의 축소는 새로운 수산자원 관리법을 필요로 하게 되었다. 수산자원의 효율적 관리를 위해 우선 다양한 해양환경에 적응한 지역개체군의 실체를 파악하는 것이 필요하다. 지역개체군의 형태 및 유전에 관한 연구는 자원의 관리단위 및 구역을 명확히 하는 데 기여할 것이다. 최종적으로 해역별 수산자원의 관리방안 제시가 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

  • There are several Disputes relating to the delimitation of maritime boundary and the policy of maritime jurisdiction of the states around the Korea Peninsula. These disputes are connected with the place of 'Tokdo' dominated practically by Korea, 'Senkaku islands' dominated practically by Japan, and 'Kurile islands' that is under disputing between Russia and Japan. North Korea has also the problem. The delimitation of Maritime Boundary among these States would be concluded in very near future. Therefore, we need to understand the maritime jurisdiction policy of these states. South Korea also has to set the policy.

기후변화에 따른 해양생태계 변화와 어업 (Changes in Marine Ecosystem according to Climate Change and Fishery)

  • Global climate change is significant issue in marine ecosystem and fishery market. According to rising of both seawater temperature and sea-level, global fishery environment and marine ecosystem are changing drastically. Moreover, over-exploitation in fishery areas is the most important issue in the marine ecosystem conservation. In analysis and statistics of global network, major fish populations are decreasing very fastly, but fish catch are increasing annually. It means balance between product and consume is not appropriate in the global market. China as emerging new fish consumer in the world is strongly developing fishery industry and technology. In this paper, I try to review a relationship between marine ecosystem and climate change in global scale according to references. I also suggested possibility of sustainable global fishery in changing marine ecosystem by analysis of some related reports of international global fishery.

  • Recently, China & Japan have expanded their responding ADIZ(Air Defence Identification Zone) to implement each Government's maritime policy and to project their Air Power in preparation for maritime provocation & contingency, especially over the piled area where East Asia countries have claimed to have maritime jurisdiction one another. So this is to guide the Development Option for Korea Air Defence Identification Zone to cope with the maritime intentions of the neighboring countries, considering the international law for ADIZ, the maritime policy and the maritime sovereign & jurisdiction area of the Republic of Korea, etc.

협조적 게임이론을 이용한 국가 간 수산자원관리에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Management of International Fishery Resources using Cooperative Game Theory)

  • This study demonstrates that cooperative management can provide more benefits than noncooperative management for Korea and Japan fishery. We have studied one management strategy, namely, fishing under joint maximization of net benefits in coastal waters of two countries, using a cooperative game theory. The present net return under non-cooperation amounts to 420,255 million won. However, if two countries cooperate one with another, this figure can get to 2,636,565 million won. We consider this to be an important conclusion as close management relationships have developed between the two countries since the establishment of the EEZ in 1996. The results of the study can also help balance resource conservation and the appropriate catch quota in each country.

Five Shrimp Species of the Genus Solenocera (Crustacea: Decapoda: Solenoceridae) in Korea

  • We describe and illustrate five species of shrimp of the genus Solenocera, collected from the Korean exclusive economic zone (EEZ) between 2001 and 2003 and a commercial seafood market in Busan, South Korea, in 2005. Four of these species, S. alticarinata Kubo 1949, S. comata Stebbing 1915, S. koelbeli De Man 1911, and S. pectinulata Kubo 1949, are new records for the Koreas. The fifth, S. melantho De Man 1907, is a ubiquitous and commercially important species in the region. This report extends the known range of S. pectinulata to Jeju Island in the East China Sea. A key to these species is presented.

  • 갈치 (Trichiurus lepturus Linnaeus)는 우리나라 서해 및 남해, 동중국해, 발해, 일본 서부 및 류슈 연안 등 한국 주변 수역에 넓게 분포하는 난류성 저어어종이다. 우리나라 갈치의 주어장은 EEZ 설정 후 어장이 많이 축소되어 최근에는 흑산도, 제주도 인근의 서해남부 및 제주도 서방해역에서 근해안강망, 쌍끌이기선저인망, 대형트롤, 대형선망, 근해채낚기 등에 주로 어획된다. 우리나라 갈치의 어획량은 1970년대 초반에는 급격한 증가추세로 1974년에 17만톤으로 가장 많았으며, 이후 1977년에 7만톤 수준으로 떨어졌고, 1997년부터 다시 높은 수준으로 회복 되면서 1983년에 다시 15만톤의 어획을 기록하였다.   • Characteristics and variations of chemical compositions in Co-rich crusts occurred in the EEZ of the Republic of Marshall Islands were reviewed. Correlation coefficient analysis, hierarchical cluster analysis, and Q-mode factor analysis for 62 samples were done in this study. All data were selected and gathered from the open file report of the cooperative cruise done by United States Geological Survey with Scripps Institute of Oceanography, University of Hawaii or Korea Ocean Research Development Institute. The average of crust thickness. Co content, and Ni content of 62 samples from the 21 seamounts were 30mm, 0.58 wt% and 0.40%, respectively. The mineral phases and associated elements assigned by correlation coefficients, cluster analysis and Q-mode factor analysis are following four. 1) CFA: P, Ca, CO2, Y, Sr: 2) Mn-oxide mineral: As, Mn, Co, Na: 3) Al-silicate mineral: Pd,Si, Al, Cu, Fe: 4) PGE-bearing mineral: Rh, Pt, Ir.

  • The problem of imbalance between supply and demand of fine aggregates in the southeastern region due to the decrease in collection of EEZ(Exclusive Economic Zone) sea sand has been raised. In this paper, the possibility of securing alternative aggregate as a means to solve the problem of fine aggregate shortage in the southeast region was analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the alternative aggregate is easy to manufacture and its quality can be secured. And, it is suitable to use as an aggregate with less environmental burden. In addition, institutional improvement measures are needed for effective utilization and recycling of alternative aggregates.
