  • Maintenance of sewer pipe process sewer pipe repairing process is necessary for deterioration of sewer pipe. In this research, analysis on performance (strength and twist strain) of eco-friendly and even expanded liner process using glass fiber and twist prevention band. As a results, tensile strength, bending strength and failure load is increased after the sewer pipe repairing process than advanced research results. And sewer pipe after the this process obtained advantage of prevention of twist strain and economic. After the this research, sewer pipe repairing process using glass fiber and twist prevention band could be suggest the eco-friendly and effective sewer pipe repairing process.

  • In this work, the dynamic properties of a high performance concrete containing glass powder (GP) was studied. The GP is a new cementitious material obtained by recycling waste glass presenting pozzolanic activity. This eco-friendly material was incorporated in concrete mixes by replacing 20 and 30% of cement. The mechanical properties of building materials highly affect the response of the structure under dynamic actions. First, the resonant vibration frequencies were measured on concrete plate with free boundary conditions after 14, 28 and 90 curing days by using an alternative vibration monitoring technique. This technique measures the average frequencies of several excitations done at different points of the plate. This approach takes into account the heterogeneity of a material like concrete. So, the results should be more precise and reliable. For measuring the bending and torsion resonant frequencies, as well as the damping ratio. The dynamic properties of material such as dynamic elastic modulus and dynamic shear modulus were determined by modelling the plate on the finite element software ANSYS. Also, the instantaneous aroused frequency method and ultrasound method were used to determine the dynamic elastic modulus for comparison purpose, with the results obtained from vibration monitoring technique.

  • Nanostructured Ag thin films could be facilely prepared by soaking glass substrates in ethanolic solutions containing $Ag_2O$ powders at an elevated temperature. The formation of zero-valent Ag was corroborated using X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The deposition of Ag onto a glass substrate was readily controlled simply by changing the reaction time. Due to the aggregated structures of Ag, the surface-enhanced Raman scattering spectra of benzenethiol could be clearly identified using the Ag-coated glass. The enhancement factor at 514.5 nm excitation estimated using benzenethiol reached $1.0{\times}10^5$ while the detection limit of rhodamine 6G was found to be as low as $1.0{\times}10^{-13}$ M. Since this one-pot fabrication method is eco-friendly and is suitable for the mass production of diverse Ag films, it is expected to play a significant role in the development of surface plasmon-based analytical devices.

  • The glass-forming conditions are investigated in the $K_2$O-CaO-$SiO_2$ $-P_2$$O_{5}$ system with 10~65 mole% of$ P_2$$O_{5}$. Thermal properties and dissolution properties were investigated according to variation of the SiO and KO contents in selected compositions. The glass formation condition was determined when $K_2$O/$P_2$$O_{5}$ mole ratio 0~0.24, $SiO_2$/($SiO_2$+$P_2$$O_{5}$ ) mole ratio 0~0.29, and CaO/$P_2$$O_{5}$ mole ratio 0~1.00. In the result of the thermal properties, the glass transition temperature($T_{g}$) and softening temperature($T_{s}$ ) were gradually shifted to the lower temperature range with increase of $K_2$O contents. The maximum value of the chemical durability was shown in $K_2$$PO_2$$O_{5}$ mole ratio 0.17 when the $SiO_2$ contents were changed, and $K_2$O was fixed at 10 mole%. Hence the change of the $K_2$O/$P_2$$O_{5}$ mole ratio was found that a new main factor of the chemical durability.

  • Perfluorocompounds ($PFC_s$), such as tetrafluoromethane ($CF_4$) and hexafluoroethane ($C_2F_6$), have been widely used as plasma etching and chemical vapor deposition (CVD) gases for semiconductor manufacturing processes. Since these $PFC_s$ are known to cause a greenhouse effect intensively, there has been a growing interest in reducing $PFC_s$ emissions. Among various $CF_4$ decomposing techniques, a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) is considered as one of a promising candidate because it has been successfully used for generating ozone ($O_3$) and decomposing nitrogen oxide (NO). Firstly, optimal concentration of oxygen for $CF_4$ decomposition was found to figure out how many primary and secondary reactions are associated with DBD process. Secondary, to find effective discharge method for $CF_4$ decomposition, a streamer and a glow mode in DBD are experimentally compared, which includes (i) coaxialcylinder DBD, (ii) DBD reactor packed with glass beads. and (iii) a glow mode operation with a helium gas. The test results showed that optimal concentration of oxygen was ranged 500 ppm~1% for treating 500 ppm of $CF_4$ and helium glow discharge was the most efficient one to decompose $CF_4$.

  • Various materials are used as electrical barrier materials, such as glass, insulating oil, gas, paper and polymer. These materials shut off electricity from conductor as a barrier and separate as well as support conductor from outside environment while using electrical equipment. Polymers are generally used for cable insulation material. Recently environmental regulation are reinforced and eco-friendly materials are in trend.

  • Ti-based bulk metallic glasses with high glass forming ability were developed through a systematic alloy design technique. The main alloy design strategy was the selection of alloying elements that may not be toxic in the human body. The $Ti_{45.0}Cu_{40.1}Zr_{12.7}Si_{2.2}$ alloy could be cast into an amorphous rod with the diameter of 3 mm by a suction casting technique using Cu mold. The compressive strength of the amorphous rod was measured as 1826 MPa. Since the Ti-based amorphous alloys consist of non-toxic elements, they can be widely used as bio-materials and eco-materials with unique and beneficial properties.

  • The feasibility of the geopolymer as a cultural asset restoration material was studied by investigating compressive strength and chromaticity change. Metakaolin that was synthesized by calcination of the kaolin at $750^{\circ}C$ for 6 hours was used as a geopolymeric starting material. Kaolin lost its crystallinity and changed into non-crystalline phase during calcination. NaOH solution and water glass were used as an initiator for the geopolymeric reaction. As the concentration of NaOH solution and water glass increased the compressive strength increased. When alumina was substituted with metakaolin, the compressive strength decreased at a small amount of alumina, but increased at a large substitution. For the most composition of geopolymers, the change of chroma values remained within the limit of slight variation after exposure to sunlight for 8 and 100 days. However, even small amount of organic pigment addition increased chroma values of metakaoline. It was shown that geopolymer had excellent chroma value change over epoxy resins.

  • The eco-friendly technologies have been extended as matter of international concern due to various diseases and syndromes according to an environmental pollution. In this study, we have manufactured a ceramic cluster with thick film type for anion generation equipment which is maximized anion but minimized ozone contents generated. To develop the formulation of ceramic cluster, we conducted the $Mg_2SiO_4$ powders doped with 10 vol% glass frits as Na-Zn-B-O system and sintered at $1050^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours in air for starting materials and investigated the matching properties between the Ag-Pd electrode and the starting materials. The sintered sample for the composition of cluster has 6.7 of dielectric constant and 32 kV/mm of withstand voltage. The yield of anions was measured according to an electrode pattering, discharge gap between electrode, and thickness of electrode protective layer in the cluster of thick film type. We have manufactured the ceramic clusters with optimized thick film structure that have an anion over a hundred particles and the ozone of 0.6 ppb generated.
