기울기 추적파를 이용한 ECG의 기저선 변동 제거 알고리즘 (An ECG baseline wandering elimination algorithm by using slope tracing waves)

  • This paper describes a new baseline wandering elimination algorithm for ECG based on waveform morphology analysis. The algorithm uses two slope tracing waves to separate the baseline wandering from ECG and approximates the separated baseline wandering to a corresponding sinusoid, and finally, subtracts the approximated sinusoid from the original ECG. The two slope tracing waves, the descending slope tracing wave and the ascending slope tracing wave, were developed for efficient determination of slope inverting points and sudden slope changing points. The algorithm has been applied to MIT/BIH database to verify its efficacy and validity in practical applications.

  • This paper describes design of a Chaos analyser and its applications to analysis of nonlinear characteristirs of ECG. The proposed system can easily distinguish chaotic system among the various dynamical systems by chaotic quantitative and qualitative analysis and also chaotic characteristics which represents states of nonlinear dynamical system. And we have also proposed new possibilities to recognize abnormal state of ECG signal using the chaotic characteristics.

  • This paper describes a Chaos analyzer and its applications to characteristic analysis of ECG signals and the other signals. We can detect chaotic system among the various system by quantitative and qualitative analysis using the proposed system. And we also propose a new Possibility to recognize abnormal state of ECG signal using the chaotic characteristcs of signal.

  • Diagnostics of unborn baby is mainly aimed at prediction and detection of occurrence of intrauterine hypoxia. Consequences resulting from fetal hypoxia appear in its heart activity. In this study, we have developed a new non-invasive system for fetal hypoxia diagnosis which provides systolic time interval(STI) parameters on the basis of analysis of electrical and mechanical heart activity together. For this we have worked on 1) the proper lead system for the acquisition of abdominal ECG, 2) the independent component analysis based signal processing and fetal ECG separation, 3) the development of a hardware which consists of an abdominal ECG amplifying module and an ultrasound module and 4) the detection of characteristic points of FECG and Doppler signal and the extraction of diagnostic parameters. The developed system was evaluated by the clinical experiments in which 33 subjects were participated. The acquired STI by the system were distributed within the ranges from the well-established invasive results of other researchers. From this, we can conclude that the developed non-invasive fetal hypoxia diagnosis system is useful.

최소 제곱 가속 기반의 적응 디지털 필터를 이용한 두피 뇌전도에서의 심전도 잡음 추정 및 제거 (A Method for Estimation and Elimination of EGG Artifacts from Scalp EEG Using the Least Squares Acceleration Based Adaptive Digital Filter)

  • A new method for detecting and eliminating the Electrocardiogram(ECG) artifact from the scalp Electroencephalogram(EEG) is proposed. Based on the single channel EEG, the proposed method consists of 4 procedures: emphasizing the R-wave of ECG artifact from EEG using the least squares acceleration(LSA) filter, detecting the R-wave from the LSA filtered EEG using the phase space method and R-R interval, generating the delayed impulse synchronized to the R-wave and elimination of the ECG artifacts based on the adaptive digital filter using the impulse and raw EEG. The performance of the proposed method was evaluated in the two separating parts of R-wave detection and, ECG estimation and elimination from EEG. In the R-wave detection, the proposed method showed the mean error rate of 6.285(%). In the ECG estimation and elimination using simulated and/or real EEG recordings, we found that the ECG artifacts were successfully estimated and eliminated in comparison with the conventional multi-channel techniques, in which independent component analysis and ensemble average method are used. From this we can conclude that the proposed method is useful for the detecting and eliminating the ECG artifact from single channel EEG and simple for ambulatory/portable EEG monitoring system.

Comparison of Characteristics of P-Wave Detection in ECG with Wireless Patch Electrodes

  • P-wave characteristic in the human electrocardiogram (ECG) is important in the diagnosis of atrial conduction pathology. In this paper, we measured an ECG signal from patient with cardiovascular disease using one lead ECG electrode system which is based on the wireless cardiac monitoring system. And we detected a P-wave in ECG signal using the complex-valued continuous wavelet transforms (CWT) according to two kinds of patch type electrodes such as an existing narrow patch type electrode and the improved wide patch type electrode presented in this paper. Also, we compared the characteristics in detecting the P-wave in terms of the magnitude and the width of P-waves. From the results of comparison we found that the width and the magnitude of P-wave detected using the wide patch type electrode is improved to be interpreted easier compared to those using the narrow patch type electrode. Furthermore, we have also proven that the complex-valued CWT can be used as a robust detector for P-wave in ECG signal analysis.

유비쿼터스 헬스케어 시스템을 위한 노드기반의 R피크 검출 알고리즘 (R-peak Detection Algorithm in Wireless Sensor Node for Ubiquitous Healthcare Application)

  • 현재 무선센서노드 기반의 헬스케어 모니터링 시스템이 활발히 연구되고 있다. 하지만 생체신호의 모니터링을 위한 전체 데이터의 전달은 무선센서네트워크 내의 데이터 트래픽과 에너지 소모가 증가하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 경량의 전처리 과정 및 알고리즘을 통해 ECG신호에서 의미있는 파라미터만을 검출하여 전송하였다. 본 연구에서는 정상적인 ECG에서 무선센서노드에서 R피크, RR간격을 검출할 수 있는 TinyOS 기반 어플리케이션을 구현하였으며 결과로 dECG, R피크, RR간격, HRV를 그래프로 확인 할 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구를 이용하면 ECG신호 전체 데이터가 아닌 주요 정보만을 보냄으로서 에너지 소모, 데이터량을 줄일 수 있다.

천일염과 녹차를 발효시켰을 때 Catechin류의 추출량 변화 (Difference of Catechins Extracted Level when Fermented Sun-dried Salt and Green Tea)

  • 녹차를 천일염과 혼합하여 발효시킨 후 항균활성을 가지고 있고 셀룰라제가 없는 균종을 첨가하여 발효시킨 실험에서 녹차만을 발효시켰을 경우보다 천일염을 첨가하여 발효시킨 모든 시료에서 카테킨류인 EGC, EC, EGCG, ECG의 추출량이 증가하였고, 발효 일에 따른 분석에서는 EGC(epigallocatechin), ECG(epicatechin gallate), EC(epicatechin), EGCG(epigallocatechin gallate)모두에서 2일째와 3일째 높은 추출량이 검출되었다. 또한 발효균을 첨가하여 발효시켰을 경우 Paenibacillus spp에서는 모든 카테킨류(EGC, EC, EGCG, ECG)의 추출량이 증가하였고, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens에서는 EGC와 EC는 감소하고 EGCG와 ECG는 증가하였으며, Bacillus pumilus, Bacillus subtilis는 모든 카테킨류(EGC, EC, EGCG, ECG)에서 감소하였다. 위와 같은 실험의 결과에서 녹차에 천일염과 Paenibacillus spp를 함께 3일 동안 발효시킨 결과에서 가장 많은 카테킨류가 추출되었다.

  • In this paper, we designed a Molter analysis system using the visual programming method It differs from the existing analysis system in that the various signal processing algorithms represented by icons were designed by GUI concept which provide unskilled user with easy and convenient analysis environment. In order to analyze ECG signal. we only select the icon representing an algorithm to be applied by mouse and arrange the selected icons upon the order to be jlrocessed on screen. As a result it provides a convenient usage and flexibility of analysis. Also, we can find the optimal algorithm for the ambulatory ECG analysis by comparing the several results obtained from the various analysis configuration.

  • This paper describes the design of portable arrhythmia monitor and associated algorithm for automated diagnosis based-on microcomputer in the ambulatory ECG recording, analysis, and transmitting to a hospital host computer immediately through the telephone system. The device differs from Molter recorder in that it does not store normal ECG signals but captures and alarms the ECG during suspected abnormal periods and selected temporal epochs to a central hospital site. This porta file arrhythmia monitor makes use of a general purpose computer and software will be changed to meet the custom requirements of individual physicians and patients. At present it is very obvious that each cardiologist has his own method of analyzing ECG recordings and utilizes past experience more than the firm quantitative analysis of data.
