The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of environmental classes using EBS program on the environmental sensitivity and environmentally responsible behavior of 6th grade elementary school students. To this end, the 2015 revised elementary school curriculum was reconstructed for 6th grade students, and subject-centered environmental classes were planned, and EBS educational broadcasting environmental contents suitable for each class were applied and utilized. The conclusion of this study is as follows. First, this study analyzed the 2015 revised curriculum and reorganized the 6th grade curriculum and creative experience activities to plan the 22nd environmental class, specifying environmental sensitivity and environmentally responsible behavior that can have a positive impact on learners in each class. EBS educational broadcasting environmental contents that can be utilized were selected and environmental classes were conducted using them. Second, it was found that environmental classes using EBS educational broadcasting had a significant effect on improving the environmental sensitivity of elementary school students. The fact that environmental classes using EBS educational broadcasting goes beyond the spatial limitations of schools and informs that global citizens are interested in environmental problems and are working to solve environmental problems. Third, it was found that environmental classes using EBS educational broadcasting had a significant effect on elementary school students' environmentally responsible behavior. This is because environmental classes using EBS educational broadcasting do not stop at imparting knowledge, but suggest learning that leads to civic behavior, educational behavior, economic behavior, physical behavior, and persuasive behavior related to the environment.

The present study aims to investigate lexical coverage of BNC (British National Corpus) word lists and 2015 Basic Vocabulary of Ministry of Education in 2020 EBS-linked textbooks and CSAT. For the data analysis, AntWordProfiler was used to find lexical coverage and frequency. The findings showed that Students can understand 95% of the tokens with a vocabulary of BNC 3,000 and 4,000 word-families in 2020 EBS-linked listening and reading books respectively. 98% can be understood with 4,000 word-families in the EBS-linked listening book while the same lexical coverage can be covered with 8,000 word-families in the EBS-linked reading textbook. By the way, 95% of the tokens can be understood with 2,000 and 4,000 word-families in 2020 CSAT listening and reading tests respectively, while 98% requires 4,000 and 7,000 word-families in the 2020 listening and reading tests respectively. In summary, students should understand more words in 2020 EBS-linked textbooks than in 2020 CSAT tests confirming Kim's (2016) findings. This study is to find out a way to foster self-directed learning math skills for the low-income youth at child care centers. Taking advantage of EBS materials, we found the youth, low-income youth in particular, were positively influenced to learn mathematics in the way of self-directed and action learning. This program gives a model of the self-directed math learning using the EBS mathematics materials. From the survey of this study, we found see that students started to have a positive attitude for learning and they started to gain new mathematical concept, and improved their problem solving, reasoning, communication and representation skills with these new leaning environments. This study tells us that this type of cooperative learning could help them to have an objective assessment, and gave a positive impact on self-directed learning.

The purpose of this study is to examine a direction for contents choice and transmission strategies of radio literature reading programs. For this, 129 picturebook contents used for EBS program of "children books for adults" in recent 6 months were collected and analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively based on Nicholajeva's societal and aesthetic approach. In terms of external literary elements, there were unequal distribution of published period, nation, company and genre. In terms of literary inner factors, they were excellently reflecting the stream and the tendency of modern children literature. Finally, in the process of turning visual texts into auditory texts, the program used diverse auditory transmission strategies. Based on these results, it is suggested that this program need to take into account reforming the contents selection practice to provide abundant literary experience for listeners and sophisticating the transmission effects adapted for a digital era.

스마트 미디어 환경으로 변화하면서 전에는 볼 수 없었던 다양한 방송 서비스들이 소개되고 있다. 증강현실은 그중 하나로, 스마트 미디어를 위한 주요 서비스로 자리를 잡았으며, 디지털 방송 서비스로도 그 응용 기술이 확산되어 증강방송기술의 연구가 수행되고 있다. 증강방송은 TV 화면에 증강 콘텐츠를 방송 콘텐츠와 겹쳐 보여주는 서비스로, 스마트 기기로 제어하고 연동할 수 있다는 특징을 가지고 있다. 본 논문은 대표적인 유아 프로그램인 '방귀대장 뿡뿡이'로 증강방송 콘텐츠를 제작하여 시연함으로써 다양한 증강방송 활용 모델을 제시했다.

This research looked into the two programs There are No Bad Dogs in the World(EBS1) and The Dogs are Respectable(KBS2) that can be considered as one of the factors that changed the culture of dog rearing in the country. Focus was also directed toward the cultural intermediary work of trainer Hyung-Wook Kang and veterinarian Chae-Hyun Seol, and the linguistic texts and visual images that describe the programs were analyzed. The findings showed that the two experts reproduce dog-related beliefs and values using devices such as "serious" storytelling, dog bodies, and guardian re-education. They perform cultural intermediary work in that they create the value of the companion dog culture in these programs and provide corresponding products and services to consumers through direct face-to-face interactions. This study contributes academically in the following respects. First, the issue of companion dogs in Korea was approached from a cultural point of view rather than bounding analysis to the industrial and economic level called the "petconomy" (pet + economy). Second, the concept of cultural intermediaries and related theories were examined, along with how the two experts engender the value of dog training in the broadcasting program. The results are expected to help illustrate the diversity of Korean dog culture.

This study tries to figure out the communication types between a mother-in-law and a foreign daughter-in-law through their 'confrontational conversation.' For this, three episodes of 'Multicultural Mother-in-law and Daughter-in-law Biography' aired by EBS (Education Broadcasting System) were monitored. The dialogues between the mother-in-law and the foreign daughter-in-law were written down and analyzed. According to the result, there were 'dysfunctional communication' styles during their conversation. Theses styles deepened their conflict. Thus, to abate the conflict between the mother-in-law and the foreign daughter-in-law, this study suggested that it was necessary to develop the convergence counseling program and the family therapy for their functional communication.

has become the representative program of EBS after first airing in 2004. After seeing as a media text, this study was fulfilled on the basis of Bill Nichols' "Rhetoric" discussion, in order to analyze the structural method and social meaning of the program. As a result of the study, we were first able to see that was taking form as a documentary to make a constructive statement on current affairs related to Korean society, by mobilizing 'knowledge' related to these issues. Second, the "rhetoric" plays an important role in the program's process to generate meaning, and despite the text being relatively short, the rhetorical process undergone for the generation of meaning has been fully reflected. Moreover, the program was successfully structuring a new method of generating meaning by enthusiastically raising questions and choosing a unique method of vision mix. Third, by looking at the study's results in-depth, we can see that was creating a ideological place for open discussion, which was providing viewers with the satisfaction of overcoming our society's dominating ideology and forming new ones. In that sense, the easily accessible 'knowledge'that surrounds us holds somewhat of a political meaning. On top of that, it can be seen that the program especially, is a media text that holds a cultural political meaning, which is an important factor to consider in the Korean broadcasting industry. In conclusion, we found out that this program uses 'knowledge' to see the possibility of 'knowledge'journalism by making constructive statements through a 'rhetorical' process.

In this paper, we investigated the shadow area of radio programs which are currently being broadcast via FM 102.5 MHz in Jeollabuk-do consisting of 6 cities and 8-guns. The field strength data of FM 102.5 MHz was used with criterion of shadow area. As a result, the field strength of the eastern mountainous area in Jeollabuk-do was very low. We also measured, compared and analyzed the field strength of 102.5 MHz(TBN-Jeonju), 100.7 MHz(KBS) and 99.1 MHz (MBC) in Jeollabuk-do. Based on the field strength data, we tried to find what correlation exists and how much influence is between difference of antenna output power and solution of shadow area. In result, enhancement of antenna output power is not solution in terms of reducing the shadow Area of 102.5 MHz(TBN-Jeonju). In addition, we measured, compared and analyzed the field strength of 102.5 MHz(TBN-Jeonju) and 106.9 MHz(EBS). In fact, the relay stations with 104.1 MHz, 104.9 MHz, 105.3 MHz and 107.5 MHz of EBS FM has a number of FM relay stations in the eastern mountainous area of Jeollabuk-do. As a result, we confirmed that EBS almost did not have shadow area in the eastern mountainous area of Jeollabuk-do based on the field strength data. As in the case of EBS and KBS, we suggest installing TBN-Jeonju FM relay station with the best solution to reducing the shadow area to extend the audible range of TBN-Jeonju.
