EAP is an extensible authentication protocol that supports EAP methods with various authentication mechanisms. Since EAP itself is designed as a protocol for authentication only, it is not used for general data transmission after authentication between peer and authenticator. EAP itself is a protocol that can operate lightly in terms of the simple communication structure of EAP, but the procedure may become more complicated depending on which EAP method is selected and used. In particular, the IoT market has recently become established, and frequent authentication environments arise due to data loss, modulation, and repeated connections in a wireless environment. In this case, some highly secure EAP methods are not suitable for some IoT environments that require lighter and faster communications than complex procedures. In this paper, we design a lightweight authentication EAP method that is suitable for IoT environment that does not touch the existing EAP framework and requires frequent authentication and fast communication.

Followed by the popularity of the Internet, a number of access technologies to the Internet have been developed. EAP is an authentication framework. It is designed to provide the authentication functionality in the access network. Because of its flexibility and extensibility EAP poses a global solution for the authentication supported by many access networks. However, EAP has critical weaknesses in the protocol which may, in turn, decrease the EAP performance. Some of the weaknesses are caused by the "lock-step" flow control which only supports a single packet in flight. Considering the weaknesses, we propose a solution for the flow control. Using simulation we prove that our solutions improve the EAP performance.

This study was conducted to suggest some alternatives to facilitate consumers' purchase of EAP (Environment-friendly Agricultural Products) by comparing purchasers and nonpurchasers in terms of their socio-economic characteristics, EAP purchasing behaviors and perceptions, and overall evaluation on EAP. Data were collected by 562 Gwangju citizens selected through snowball and convenient sampling procedures in 2007. Purchasers were more likely to be female, older, and in a higher income level than nonpurchasers. Purchasers, who were more knowledgeable about EAP, had a higher tendency to obtain EAP information through more diverse sources, and more relied on EAP certification mark to distinguish EAP. Purchasers were also more concerned about the safety from pesticides and had more confidence in the safety of EAP than nonpurchasers. Purchasers were more likely to perceive the importance of 'facilitation of EAP' and 'providing education and information about EAP' than nonpurchasers. Generally purchasers tended to be more satisfied with EAP and higher intention to increase their EAP purchase in the future. Implications of the results were discussed.

본 연구에서는 최근 기상이변의 영향 및 지진 발생과 저수지 노후화 등으로 지속적으로 발생되고 있는 소규모 저수지 붕괴에 의한 재해 위험성을 경감하고자 댐 저수지 EAP 수립 기준 이하 소규모 저수지를 대상으로 EAP 수립 대상여부를 판단할 선정지표를 개발하였다. 기존의 EAP 수립지침 검토, 과거 붕괴사례 분석, 관련분야 선행 연구 등을 분석하여 저수용량, 제체높이, 경과연수, 호우인자 및 지진인자를 포함하는 5개 선정지표를 정량화 하여 제시하므로 실무적용을 용이하게 하고자 하였다. 또한 개발된 선정지표는 EAP 수립 기준 이하 소규모 저수지에 적용하기에 앞서 각 선정 지표별 저수지 붕괴와의 연관성을 파악하기 위해 과거 저수지 붕괴사례에 단일지표 및 지표간 중첩도를 파악해 보았다. 그 결과, 지진인자, 호우인자, 지진 및 호우인자, 경과연수 지표순 순으로 저수지 붕괴와 높은 연관성을 나타내어, 소규모 저수지 붕괴에 연관되는 주요 지표를 지진인자, 호우인자, 경과연수로 선정하였다. 본 연구에서 선정된 지표간의 중첩정도를 파악하기 위해 과거 저수지 붕괴사례에 적용해 본 결과 호우인자+지진인자가 가장 높은 중첩도를 나타났다. 다음으로 본 연구를 통해 도출된 EAP 수립 대상 선정지표 중 주요 지표인 지진인자, 호우인자, 경과연수를 대상으로 2개의 지표가 중첩될 경우와 3개의 지표가 중첩될 경우를 EAP 수립 대상 관찰그룹과 검토그룹의 각각 분류한 후 이를 재해위험 저수지(MOIS, 2016)에 적용하여 보았다. 그 결과, EAP 수립 대상 관찰그룹에 속하는 경우가 38.5%를 차지하였고, 검토그룹에 속하는 경우가 11.9%를 차지하였다. EAP 수립 대상 관찰그룹에 해당하는 저수지에 대해서는 전문 시설관리자에 의한 주기적 점검 및 계측기 설치를 통한 모니터링 실시 등으로 세심한 시설물 관리가 필요할 것으로 판단되며, EAP 수립 대상 검토그룹에 해당하는 저수지에 대해서는 제체 하류부 구간의 주민 거주 현황, 경작지, 축사 등 재산 현황 및 EAP 수립에 소요되는 예산 등을 종합적으로 고려하여 저수지 관리기관에서 최종적으로 EAP 수립 여부를 결정하여 잠재적인 피해 발생을 사전에 저감시켜야 하겠다. 본 연구의 결과는 기존의 EAP 수립 기준의 보완책으로 활용 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

The recent economic downturn has created new challenges for today's company workers such as increased job instability; layoffs; the need to maintain dual income households and the associated childcare requirements; and other job stresses. These stresses give rise to serious problems for workers and ultimately to organizations. Companies therefore need to pay attention to solving the problem of stress. These days, many companies seek a solution from EAP. EAP aims to support workers through counseling, consulting and coaching services to help them overcome issues which may adversely affect job satisfaction and performance. EAP was introduced in this country ten years ago. Formerly, many companies viewed stress primarily as a personal issue. But now more companies are in a hurry to adopt EAP as a means for individuals to resolve stress. This study draws on the example of EAP use in LG Hausys. The company has adopted EAP under the CEO's strong support. The company has effectively managed EAP services which include professional counseling and the training of internal counselors. This study derives implications for the further implementation of EAP services.

과거 10여 년 간 Electro-Active Polymer(EAP) 분야는 큰 변형을 낼 수 있는 지능재료들이 출현함에 따라 인공근육을 만들 수 있는 가능성으로 인해 많은 관심이 모아지고 있다. EAP는 외부의 자극에 따라 큰 변위를 생성할 뿐만 아니라 근육과 같이 탄력성이 있는, 다른 재료기술들이 낼 수 없는 특성과 성능을 가지고 있다. EAP가 갖는 생체근육과 같은 작동을 할 수 있는 가능성은 곧 공상과학의 꿈을 이루고자하는 희망을 갖게 하며 인류의 문명발전에 크게 기여할 것이다. EAP는 차세대 마이크로 로봇, 오락산업 또는 초소형 비행체의 구동과 같은 인공근육 작동기의 응용분야를 창출하고 있다. EAP 작동기의 응용성은 폭넓으며 새로운 기술혁신의 기대를 불러 일으키고 있다. 본 논문에서는 3GPP-WLAN 연동 보안에 필수인 EAP-AKA를 기반으로 한 인증/재인증의 개요와 인증 진행 부분에서 협상되는 마스터 세션 키 생성과 EAP AKA 패킷을 보호하기 위해 사용되는 키 생성에 관하여 설명하고, EAP-AKA 과정에서 생성되는 키의 안전성을 분석하고, EAP-AKA를 사용하는 3GPP-WLAN 연동의 효율성 및 고려사항에 대하여 고찰하였다.

보안은 5G 이동통신 네트워크의 성공적인 정착을 위한 필요충분조건이다. 5G 보안의 중요한 표준으로 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project)의 보안 담당 워킹그룹인 SA3는 3GPP 5G 보안구조를 제시하였다. 특히, 3GPP 5G 보안구조는 Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) 인증 프레임워크를 채택함으로써 이기종의 다양한 인증 기법과 자격증명을 용이하게 포용할 수 있는 유연성을 갖추었다. 서비스 융합 네트워크를 지향하는 5G의 비전을 고려할 때, EAP 인증 프레임워크는 보안측면에 있어서 매우 중요한 전략이라고 볼 수 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 3GPP 5G 보안구조를 위한 EAP 인증 프레임워크를 고찰한다. 이를 위해, 1차 인증을 위한 EAP 기반의 인증 프로토콜 EAP-AKA'을 면밀히 검토하면서 1차 인증에서의 EAP 인증 프레임워크 적용방안을 분석한다. 아울러, 2차 인증을 위한 EAP 인증 프레임워크의 적용과 네트워크 슬라이싱 (Network Slicing)과의 연동을 살펴본다.

EAP provides authentication for each entity based on IEEE Std 802.1x Wireless lAN and RADIUS/DIAMETER protocol, and it uses certificate, dual scheme(e.g., password and token) with the authentication method. The password-based authentication scheme for authenticated key exchange is the most widely-used user authentication method due to various advantages, such as human-memorable simplicity, convenience, mobility, A specific hardware device is also unnecessary, This paper discusses user authentication via public networks and proposes the Split Password-based Authenticated Key Exchange (SPAKE), which is ideal for both authenticating users and exchanging session keys when using a subsequent secure communication over untrusted network, And then we provides EAP authentication framework EAP-SPAKE by using it.

This paper proposes the EAP-AKA scheme without UICC for extending its usage to existing WLAN/WiBro devices. To apply the current EAP-AKA scheme, the WLAN/WiBro devices require an external Universal Integrated Circuit Card (UICC) reader. If they don't use UICC due to cost overhead and architectural problem of device, the EAP-AKA scheme loses its own advantages in security and portability aspects. The proposed scheme uses the DH key algorithm and a password for non-UICC devices instead of using the long-term key stored in UICC. The main contribution is to maintain the security and portability of the EAP-AKA while being applied to non-3GPP network devices not equipped with UICC. Furthermore, it does not require major modifications of authentication architecture in 3GPP.
