이 장에서는 E-mail의 원리와 다양한 기능 그리고 보안과의 관계를 알아보고자 한다. 우리가 가장 즐겨하면서도 정작 보안부분은 취약한 것이 바로 E-mail이다. 이메일의 원리에 대해서 살펴보고 취약한 보안부분을 점검해보는 것도 자신의 개인정보와 바이러스 및 각종 불법 메일을 방지하는 한 방법일 수 있다. 또한 다양한 유형의 바이러스형 메일의 특징을 알아보고 감염방지와 보안 등에 대한 유익한 정보가 되었으면 한다.

Because of a rapid growth of internet environment, it is also fast increasing to exchange message using e-mail. But, despite the convenience of e-mail, it is rising a currently bi9 issue to waste their time and cost due to the spam mail in an individual or enterprise. Many kinds of solutions have been studied to solve harmful effects of spam mail. Such typical methods are as follows; pattern matching using the keyword with representative method and method using the probability like Naive Bayesian. In this paper, we propose a classification method of spam mails from normal mails using Support Vector Machine, which has excellent performance in pattern classification problems, to compensate for the problems of existing research. Especially, the proposed method practices efficiently a teaming procedure with a word dictionary including a generated index by the n-Gram. In the conclusion, we verified the proposed method through the accuracy comparison of spm mail separation between an existing research and proposed scheme.

요즘 전자상거래의 활성화로 전 세계적으로 인터넷 쇼핑몰과 경매 사이트를 운영하는 곳이 많이 있다. 하지만 사용하던 물건을 팔고 새로운 상품을 구매하려고 한다면 일반적으로 중고 물건을 파는 사이트를 찾아서 그곳에서 물건을 팔고 다시 다른 인터넷 쇼핑몰에서 물건을 사야하는 번거러움이 있다. 그리고 쇼핑몰 사이트의 관리자 입장에서는 판매부진상품이나 이원상품 등을 관리하기 어렵다. 또 기존에 구축되어 있는 맡은 쇼핑몰과 경매사이트의 데이터베이스의 활용도를 보면 저장된 상품을 보여주고. 판매가 되면 삭제되는 역할에 국한된 경우가 많다. 본 논문에서는 전자상거래의 사용자가 인터넷을 보다 간편하게 이용하고 사용자가 등록한 중고물품, 쇼핑몰의 판매부진상품, 이월상품의 경매로 인한 구매자의 참여를 위해 쇼핑몰과 경매 사이트를 통합하여 운영하고, 지금까지의 공통적이고 일반적인 내용의 E-mail 마케팅을 데이터 베이스 통계분석에 의해 차별화 되고 집중적인 E-mail 마케팅으로 구현한다.

K사에 근무하는 이모씨는 인터넷을 써핑하다가 우연히 모회사의 신입사원 합격자 명단을 보게되었다. 이명단에는 신입사원들의 이름과 주민등록번호가 나와 있었다. 이씨는 명단에 나와있는 이름중에서 김모씨를 골라 무료로 E-mail계정을 제공하는 W사에 접속한후 인명검색을 했다. 많은 사람들이 이용하는 W사에는 이씨의 예상대로 합격자 명단에서 골랐던 김씨가 가입되어 있었다. 인명검색으로 이씨는 김씨의 아이디를 쉽게 알아낼수 있었다. 문제는 비밀번호 이씨는 주민등록번호를 몇번 조합해서 비밀번호를 입력한뒤 로그인을 시도했지만 에러 메세지가 계속 나타났다. 그러나 문제는 곳 해결되었다. 이씨는 로그인 아래 버튼 [비밀번호를 잊으셨나요?]를 클릭했다. 그러자 이름과 주민등록번호, 비밀번호를 받을 E-mail 주소를 입력하는 란이 나왔다. 이씨는 김씨의 이름과 주민등록번호, 이씨 자신의 E-amil 주소를 입력하였다. 약 5분뒤 이씨는 명단에서 골랐던 김씨의 비밀번호를 자신의 E-mail로 받아 볼수 있었다. 아이디와 비밀번호를 알아낸 이씨는 김씨의 전자우편을 낱낱이 볼수 있었다.

최근 인터넷 사용자의 증가와 함께 전자상거래의 수요 또한 늘어나고 있다. 사용자는 인터넷 쇼핑몰을 이용하기 때문에 물건 구매 후 불만 사항이 있을 수 있으며 이는 e-mail을 통하여 접수될 것이다. 기준의 메일 기반 에이전트는 소비자가 e-mail로 접수한 소비자의 불만 사항들을 관리자가 하나하나 읽어보아야 하는 비효율적인 시스템이다. 관리자는 불만 처리에 대한 담당자가 아님에도 서버에 적재된 모든 메일을 읽어야만 하기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 보완하기 위하여 도착한 e-mail을 자동으로 분류, 전달하는 시스템을 제안한다. 서버에 도착한 메일의 내용을 분석하여 해당하는 데이터베이스의 테이블에 저장하고 그에 대한 확인 메일을 소비자에게 발송하도록 하는 소비자 불만 접수용 에이전트를 설계하였다.

Most recommendation systems recommend the products or other information satisfying preferences of users on the basis of the users' previous profile information and other information related to product searches and purchase of users visiting web sites. This study aims to apply these application categories to e-mail more necessary to users. The E-Mail System has the strong personality so that there will be some problems even if e-mails are automatically classified by category through the learning on the basis of the personal rules. In consideration with this aspect, we need the semi-automatic system enabling both automatic classification and recommendation method to enhance the satisfaction of users. Accordingly, this paper uses two approaches as the solution against the misclassification that the users consider as the accuracy of classification itself using the dynamic threshold in Bayesian Learning Algorithm and the second one is the methodological approach using the recommendation agent enabling the users to make the final decision.

In this paper, we propose an improved Bayesian Filtering mechanism to reduce the False Positives that occurs in the existing Bayesian Filtering mechanism. In the existing Bayesian Filtering mechanism, the same Bayesian Filtering DB trained at the e-mail server is applied to each e-mail user. Also, the training method using receiving e-mails only could not provide the high quality of ham DB. Due to these problems, the existing Bayesian Filtering mechanism can produce the False Positives which misclassify the ham e-mails into the spam e-mails. In the proposed mechanism, the sending e-mails of the user are treated as the high quality of ham information, and are trained to the Bayesian ham DB automatically. In addition, by providing a different Bayesian DB to each e-mail user respectively, more efficient e-mail filtering service is possible. Our experiments show the improvement of filtering accuracy by 3.13%, compared to the existing Bayesian Filtering mechanism.

유선 인터넷 망의 Mail 서비스에는 POP3(Post Office Protocol 3)규약과 IMAP4 (Internet Message Access Protocol 4)규약을 기반으로 하는 Mail 등이 있다. 무선 인터넷을 이용한 모바일 메일 서비스를 위해서는, POP3 Mail의 경우 전용 모바일 메일 서버를 이용하거나 메일 변환을 거쳐야 하고. Web Mail로 이용되는 IMAP4 메일의 경우에는 원격 파일 서버와 같이 서버 측에 메일이 보관되므로 IMAP4 규약이 없는 모바일 클라이언트로는 모바일 메일 서비스의 이용이 곤란하다. 본 논문에서는 XML 기반의 마크업 언어 변환기를 설계하고. 최근 보편화되고 있는 IMAP4 기반의 Web Mail을 모바일에서 이용할 수 있도록 하는 모바일용 메일 추출 엔진을 구현함으로써, POP3 메일 서비스뿐만 아니라 IMAP4를 기반으로 하는 Web Mail을 모바일 환경에서 이용할 수 있도록 하는 모바일 메일 서비스 방법을 제시하였다.

In this paper, I developed a method whereby spam mail is automatically blocked through the connection to link URL. The blocking system works as follows. First, the system extracts information of URL linked to electronic mail which was delivered from any server on the internet. Next, the system lets itself be connected to the web pages through this URL. Last, the system blocks the electronic mail if those web pages contain any key word which was defined as a clue to spam mail.
