The growth of mobile commerce (m-commerce) has been accelerated around the world. Why do e-retailers have to put a great deal of effort for the distribution of their mobile apps? The literature has paid little attention to the influence of the introduction of an e-commerce app on shopping behaviors of consumers. By analyzing the dataset of 2,342 users in Korea, this study aims to broaden our understanding of mobile shopping app usage across competing e-retailers and different channels. We found that a user's prior usage of a specific e-commerce mobile app increases her subsequent usage of its website through a mobile web browser. Thus, mobile apps do not cannibalize the mobile web channel, and there could be a complementary relationship. We also found that a user's usage of competitors' apps is positively associated with her subsequent usage of a specific e-commerce app. Because many consumers search products and compare prices across multiple e-retailers, having a mobile app helps an e-retailer be exposed to more potential consumers. This study is among the first to study the role of mobile apps in e-commerce by showing the dynamics of cross-channel and cross-vendor usage by a user.

The purpose of this study was to provide suggestions for the effective management of e-journals in academic libraries. Existing literatures were reviewed, web sites were examined, and informal interviews with librarians were conducted. This study comprehensively discussed various aspects of e-journal management, including 1) user behavior, 2) selection, acquisition, and evaluation, 3) access and search, 4) user education and its promotion, 5) archiving, 6) open access, 7) collection development policy.

The purpose of this study was to investigate differences in wives' financial management behavior according to variables related employment and income, and perceived economic instability of household. Financial management behaviors were constructed with 4 sub dimensions : investment, income expenditure, risk, and debt management behavior. The subjects of this study were 225 wives. Factor analysis and MANOVA were performed for data analysis. The results of this study were as follows : First, there were signigicant differences in financial management behavior according to variables related employment, i. e. employment state of wives and husbands. Second, there were signigicant differences in financial management behavior according to variables related income, i. e. monthly income, additional income, income stability. Third, there were signigicant differences in financial management behavior according to perceived economic instability of urban household.

Many companies use models or knowledge management information that suit the industrial epoch. Far from benefiting these organizations, these outdated models seriously undermine their information strategies. This paper examines the key assumptions of any information strategy and demonstrates why they should be considered afresh. Based on this discussion, we proposes a new perspective on knowledge management and suggests how managers can effectively deploy it in the new world of E-business.

District Metered Area (DMA) construction is one of the most cost effective alternatives for management of water loss (i.e., water leakage) and energy consumption (i.e., water pressure) in water distribution systems. Therefore, it's being implemented to numerous new and existing water distribution systems worldwide. However, due to the complexity of water distribution systems, especially large-scale and highly looped systems, it is still very difficult to define the optimal boundary of DMAs considering all the aspects of water distribution system management requirements. In this study, a DMA design methodology (or a DMA design model) was developed with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and hydraulic distribution system model to determine the optimal DMA boundary.

This paper proposes a novel traffic and resource management scheme based on Service Level Agreement (SLA) which allows to guarantee the quality of experience (QoE) for various high-quality mobile multimedia service users to a certain level. For this purpose, QoE-SLA coupling structure is considered and a novel scheme is suggested to suppress the processing delay of the mobile terminal and to decrease the transfer delay in the transmission network. According to simulation results, our proposed scheme can increase the total throughput and decrease the average delay by adjusting SLA.

The main goal of e-learning systems is just-in-time knowledge acquisition. Rule-based e-learning systems, however, suffer from the mesa effect and the cold start problem, which both result in low user acceptance. E-learning systems suffer a further drawback in rendering the implementation of a natural interface in humanoids difficult. To address these concerns, even exceptional questions of the learner must be answerable. This paper aims to propose a method that can understand the learner's verbal cues and then intelligently explore additional domains of knowledge based on crowd data sources such as Wikipedia and social media, ultimately allowing for better answers in real-time. A prototype system was implemented using the NAO platform.

Metadata is a structured data that makes computer to understand web based data. Types of metadata are Dublin core, ONIX, and EBKS metadata in Korea. Dublin Core is well known among these metadata. Archive is a data, that is the result of ones or groups working process, which is reasonably maintained and stored. These archives are stored and maintained lawfully and suitably for efficient usages for the future. For efficiently managing these grant amount of archive, Finding Aids and Description are needed. Adoption Archives and Records Management system is inevitable in order to maintain organized and efficient data. Metadata helps governments data that is grant to organize in simple way. For maintaining and storing data efficiently, using metadata for Archives and Records Management is essential. Form this report, we will see the examples of using metadata of other country, such as GILS(Government Information Locator Service), AGLS(The Australian Government Locator Service), NZGLS(New Zealand Government Locator Service), Danish Dublin Core and e-GMS(e-Government Metadata Standard) and e-GMF(e-Government Metadata Framework).

In this paper, we report case analysis on entob.com which is one of the leading domestic players in MRO e-marketplace. Critical success factors of achieving early liquidity and right ownerships are addressed for successful e-marketplace launching. Change management issues, required to encourage suppliers participation and to overcome adoption barriers from buyer firms, are suggested and illustrated for the successful implementation of the MRO e-marketplace. The business model architectures enabling to create e-intermediary value to both the suppliers and buyers are detailed. Finally, benefits of buyer firms captured through e-procurement business process streamlining and material cost savings are reported as the successful application stories. The findings suggest practical managerial insights for MRO e-marketplace implementation and further research.
