  • In order to design a high-performance controller with excellent positioning and tracking performance, an optimal tuning method based on the integrated design concept is studied. DOBs, feedforward controllers and CCC are applied to control the bi-axial linear servomechanism. To derive accurate dynamic models of mechanical subsystems equipped with linear servos for the integrated tuning, system identification processes are conducted through the sine sweeping. An optimal tuning problem with stability, robustness and overshoot constraints is formulated as a nonlinear constrained optimization problem. Optimal gains are obtained through the SQP method. Experimental results confirm that both tracking and contouring errors are significantly reduced by applying the proposed controller and integrated tuning method.

ATBT(Automatic TCP Buffer Tuning) 에서는 송신측의 Buffer 크기를 조절하여 성능향상을 나타냈고, DRS(Dynamic Right Sizing)에서는 수신측의 Buffer 크기를 조절하여 성능향상을 도모하였다.

  • Recently the car tuning has become a trailblazing and creative culture that expresses the personality of the owner. In this paper, the "Car-Vatar", which is the compound word formed from the words "Car" and "Avatar", has been developed to investigate car tuning on the metaverse engineering platform. The Car-Vatar has been developed as a web-based vehicle dynamic simulation service for providing information about car tuning. That has been focused on investigating diverse vehicular performances, such as acceleration, braking, handling and fuel efficiency, according to the tuning vehicles and tuning parts on the virtual engineering platform. The Car-Vatar platform has provided two major services; one is real-time 3D tuning information system for the dress-up and performance-up tuning parts, the other is diverse vehicle dynamics system for the performance-up tuning parts. To check the validation of the Car-Vatar platform, the comparison between virtual simulation results and driving test results has been discussed on various driving environments.

  • In this paper a self-tuning gain-scheduled skyhook control for semi-active suspension systems is investigated. The dynamic characteristics of a continuously variable damper including electro-hydraulic pressure control valves is analyzed. A 2-d.o.f. time-varying quarter-car model that permits variations in sprung mass and suspension spring coefficient is considered. The self-tuning skyhook control algorithm proposed in this paper requires only the measurement of body acceleration. The absolute velocity of the sprung mass and the relative velocity of the suspension deflection are estimated by using integral filters. The skyhook gains are gain-scheduled in such a way that the body acceleration and the dynamic tire force are optimized. An ECU prototype ...

  • In this paper, we implemented the variable spped controller of an induction motor using the self-tuning fuzzy control algorithms, which recently is invoking the remarkable interest. Also we preposed a self-tuning technique of scale factors which could easily design the fuzzy speed controller. Comparing with conventional PI speed controller, the performances of proposed fuzzy controller such as dynamic responses and its the robustness against load disturbance were substantially improved.

  • The PID controllers which is widely used in the process industry are poorly damped when the dynamic process contains significant dead time or when there are random disturbances acting on the plant. GPC is known to be more superior than conventional self-tuning algorithm in overcoming above problem and prior choice of model order. In this paper, we propose the method which determine the parameter of PID controller from minimization of GPC criterion. The controller has emplicit scheme which is comprised of parameter estimation and PID control design. Simulation results show the performance of the proposed self-tuning PID controller.

  • The conventional dynamic vibration absorber is very efficient in inhibiting the vibration of a machine. This is accomplished by "tuning" the absorber to the frequency of the harmonic disturbing force. If, however, the frequency of the disturbing force varies over a tuning frequency range in the normal operation of the system, the linear dynamic absorber may become inoperative and might aggravate matters particularly. This study is to endow the dynamic absorber with greater flexibility in suppressing vibrations throught a range of frequencies of the disturbing force. By introducing springs with nonlinear characteristics into its design, the results can be obtained. In this paper, the machine and the absorber were modelled as a nonlinear two-degree-of freedom system. And the concepts of nonlinear normal mode were adopted to obtain this purpose.s purpose.

  • In this paper, a proper support tuning method is established by identifying the dynamic characteristics of the machine, the floor. and the inertia force. Also, the limitation of a passive isolation is presented. To simplify the dynamic analysis and to establish a proper design method for supporting system, each of the machine and the floor is modeled as a single degree of freedom spring-mass-damper system under careful investigation of the dynamic characteristics of each system and appropriate assumptions. Then, the dynamic behavior of a 2DOF system and the effect of the mass and the damping are investigated. Also, the characteristics of motion profiles are investigated. In addition, a quasi-static analysis on the transmitted force through support is performed and related tests are performed.

  • As industrial robots come into wider use, their control techniques are being developed along with enhancements in their performance. Specially, the dynamic performance of a 6-axis articulated industrial robot is greatly changed according to the position and orientation of the robot. This means that the PI parameter tuning of the robot and orientation of the robot. This mconsidering the dynamic characteristics of robot mechanism. In this study, $LabView^{(R)}$ programming was applied to automatically conduct parameter scheduling for various robot motions. Using forward and inverse kinematics of RS2, we can divide the working envelope of RS2 into 24 subspaces. We then conduct the gain-tuning according to each subspace. Finally, we program the actual gain scheduling, in which the optimized gain-tuning for each subspace to be passed should be changed for various robot motions using $LabView^{(R)}$.
