  • Vertical L/UL (Load/Unload) velocity is very important parameter to determine the L/UL performance, and the vertical velocity is determined by the actuator velocity and the ramp profile. However, it is not easy to precisely control the actuator rotating velocity during the L/UL process. Especially in emergency parking, servo system doesn't operate, it is impossible to control an actuator velocity. Then, the vertical unloading velocity depends on only ramp profile. The ramp height and the sliding length for L/UL process in SFF (Small Form Factor) HDD are restricted due to slimness and small media. For these reasons, it is very difficult to design the ramp profile in SFF HDD. Therefore, this study analyzes the unloading dynamic characteristics for various ramp profiles and makes the thesis for ramp profile design.

  • We proposed new arc-type wheel profiles to improve severe flange wear of conventional wheel profile coned 1:40. We designed many candidate wheel profiles and analyzed the geometric characteristics, dynamic performance and stress at contact points to draw out the final profiles. From the analysis result, we chose two cases of profiles and applied to wheels of test train. Tests carried out in service line to analyze the dynamic performance and verify the wear reduction for two cases of profiles. Test results shows the equal level of dynamic performance and the improvement of wheel flange wear compared with the conventional wheel profile.

  • The rapid proliferation of wireless networks and mobile computing applications has changed the landscape of network security. Anomaly detection is a pattern recognition task whose goal is to report the occurrence of abnormal or unknown behavior in a given system being monitored. This paper presents a dynamic anomaly detection scheme that can effectively identify a group of especially harmful internal masqueraders in cellular mobile networks. Our scheme uses the trace data of wireless application layer by a user as feature value. Based on the feature values, the use pattern of a mobile's user can be captured by rough sets, and the abnormal behavior of the mobile can be also detected effectively by applying a roughness membership function with both the age of the user profile and weighted feature values. The performance of our scheme is evaluated by a simulation. Simulation results demonstrate that the anomalies are well detected by the proposed dynamic scheme that considers the age of user profiles.

  • In this paper, the results of an analysis of the dynamic behavior of the eddy current brake(ECB) system are presented. The measured irregularity of the track in Korean high speed line and the track irregularity given by ERRI(high level) were used for simulation. The wheel-rail profile combination were analyzed with different rail gauges. A model of the bogie with an substitute body fur the carbody was implemented in the Multi-Body-Simulation Program Simpack. • The properties of deformed products are generally dependent upon the distribution of microstureture. It is, therefore, necessary to make the distribution of microstureture uniform in order to achieve the best balance of properties in the final product. This is often a demanding task, even for conventional materials. It is become essential to achieving mechanical integrity and a desired combination of microstructure and properties. The objective mechanical integrity and a desired combination of microsttucture and properties. The objective of this study is to design the optimal die profile which can yield more uniform microstructure in hot extruded product. The microstructure evolution, such as dynamic and static recrystallization as well as grain growth, is investigated using the program com-bined with yada and Senuma's empirical equations and rigid-thermoviscoplastic finite element method. The die profile of hot extrusion is represented by Bezier-curve to define all available profile. In order to obtain the optimal die profile which yields uniform microstructure in the product the FPS(Flexible Polyhedron Search) method is applied to the present study. To validate the result of present study the experimental hot extrusion is performed and the result is compared with that of simulation.

  • This paper presents a hierarchical trajectory planning method which can handle a collision-free of the planned path in complex and dynamic environments. A PV (Path & Velocity profile) planning method minimizes a sharp change of orientation and waiting time to avoid a collision with moving obstacle through detour path. The path generation problem is solved by three steps. In the first step, a smooth global path is generated using $A^*$ algorithm. The second step sets up the velocity profile for the optimization problem considering the maximum velocity and acceleration. In the third step, the velocity profile for obtaining the shortest path is optimized using the fuzzy and genetic algorithm. To show the validity and effectiveness of the proposed method, realistic simulations are performed.

  • A design method of railway wheel profile with objective function of equivalent conicity considering wheel dimension constraint, two points contact problem between wheel and rail was proposed. New design method shows good results. New wheel profile generated from optimization process shows better dynamic performance compared with initial profile as the purpose of wheel profile design. And to verify the design method with testing the stability of new wheel profile, we conducted a critical speed test for new wheel profile using scale model applied scaling method of railway vehicle dynamics. The result of critical speed test show good agreement with that of numerical analysis. From the above results, it is seen that the design method with objective function of equivalent conicity is feasible and it could be applied to design new wheel profile efficiently.

  • When vehicle travelling along the track which has irregularity such as vortical profile, dynamic forces arise at the Wheel/Rail contact patch by wheel/rail interaction. In particular short wavelength irregularities on dipped joint and small stiffness of connecting rail bring about intense wheel/rail dynamic effects at higher speed. In the paper, a new model for dipped joint rail is developed to study dynamic behavior of track. (omitted)
