The dynamic characteristic of bogie that is driving system of railway vehicle is very important regarding decision of vehicle characteristics as running safety and comport. The dynamic characteristic test of bogie is tested on full size in place on field testing on track. But, the testing on the full size caused many problems. To overcome these problem by full size test, the Railway Safety Research Center in Seoul National University of Science & Technology developed 1/5 scale size of small scale derailment simulator and is currently testing running stability of 1/5 scaled bogie. Also To take effectively advantage of running stability test using small scale derailment simulator in actuality design and reliability estimation, it is necessary comparison and examination with field test and theoretical analysis result In this paper. to achieve running stability analysis of 1/5 scaled bogie on small scale derailment. the program using MATLAB that is fast compose and analysis the motion equation of Saemaul power bogie is developed. It is achieved analysis according to various specification (weight, size, suspension, etc..) and is evaluated corelation between test result and dynamic characteristic of actual railway vehicle.

This paper presents a method for the development of the impedance locus to test the dynamic characteristics of protective relays. Specifically, using the proposed method, the impedance locus can comprise three impedance points, and the speed of impedance trajectory can be adjusted by frequency deviation. This paper is divided into two main sections. The first section deals with the configuration of impedance locus with voltage magnitude, total impedance magnitude, and impedance angle. The second section discusses the control of the locus speed with the means of the deviation between two frequencies. The proposed method is applied to two machine equivalent systems with offline simulation (i.e., PSCAD) and real-time simulation (i.e., real-time simulation environment) to demonstrate its effectiveness.

Dynamic culling scheme is usually implemented to handle overhead caused by rendering the massive large-scale terrain data in flight simulator. However, existing culling scheme without considering altitude is not suitable for flight simulator due to additional computational overhead. To solve this problem, in this paper, we propose hybrid approach by applying two dynamic culling schemes depending on altitude. In addition, we remove unnessary computational overhead by creating different z-map resolution when aircraft changes its altitude. The proposed scheme is implemented with open graphic library and tested with real terrain data. Through the experimental results, we can recognize the improved rendering speed about 8 to 73 percents as compared to existing scheme.
The train control is a facility to ensure safe train operation, and its safety is the most important factor to determine whether introduced in railway authorities. Therefore, in order to improve practical usability in the business, safety analysis and evaluation of train control system and train control related core technologies are needed. In this paper, we develop wireless communication based train separation control simulator, the simulator traces trains in real-time, and produces train movement authorities with their position and speed information, and then calculates static and dynamic speed profiles. Trains in the simulator are controlled in real-time by these profiles. In the paper, simulator configuration, train control algorithm and simulation results under simulated environment are presented.

Recently, a network defense simulator becomes essential in studying cyber incidents because the cyber terror become more and more interesting. The network defense simulator is a tool to estimate damages and an effectiveness of a defense mechanism by modeling network intrusions and defense mechanisms. Using this tool, users can find efficient ways of preventing a cyber terror and recovering from the damage. Previous simulators start the simulation after entire scenario has made and been loaded to simulation engine. However, in this way it can't model human judgement and behavior, and it can't simulate the real cyber terror very well. In this paper, we have added a dynamic simulation component to our previous network security simulator. This component improved accurate modeling of network intrusions and defense behaviors. We have also proposed new modified architecture of the simulation system. Finally we have verified correct simulation results from stammer worn simulation.
The increased integration of fuel cells with power electronics, critical loads, and control systems has prompted recent interest in accurate electrical terminal models of the polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cell. Advancement in computing technologies, particularly parallel computation techniques and various real-time simulation tools have allowed the prototyping of novel apparatus to be investigated in a virtual system under a wide range of realistic conditions repeatedly, safely, and economically. This paper builds upon both advancements and provides a means of optimized model construction boosting computation speeds for a fuel cell model on a real-time simulator which can be used in a power hardware-in-the-loop (PHIL) application. Significant improvement in computation time has been achieved. The effectiveness of the proposed model developed on Opal RT's RT-Lab Matlab/Simulink based real-time engineering simulator is verified using experimental results from a Ballard Nexa fuel cell system.
It is very important to understand the 3-dimensional movement of a robot manipulator in developing a robot manipulator system. The robot design software package is required to test the specification. Usually these robot simulators are turn-key based and not possible to be used on the other robot system. The aim of this paper is to develop a general purpose robot simulator. AutoCad is selected for the developing environment to avoid the difficulties of building a cad system from the scratch. Because Autocad provides a semi-open structure to a Lisp programmer, it is quite successful to achieve the goal of building the simulator. At the moment the kinematic analysis is possible on the package. Further study will be advanced to the application and analysis of dynamic area, which would not be that difficult to be implemented, considering the many third party tools available for Autocad.

The Helicopter Simulator System is non-linear and complex. Futhermore, because of absence of its accurate mathematical model, it is difficult to control accurately its attitudes such as elevation angle and azimuth one. Therefore, we proposed a Hybrid GA-PID WAVENET(Genetic Algorithm Proportional Integral Derivative Wavelet Neural Network)control technique to control efficiently these angles. The proposed Hybrid GA-PID WAVENET is made through the following process. First, the WAVENET fundamental functions are defined. And their dilation and translation values are adjusted by GA to construct the optimal WAVENET controller. Secondly, the proportional, integral, and derivative gain coefficients of PR controller are tuned optimally. Finally, WAVENET controller which has a good transient characteristic and GA-PE controller which has a good steady state characteristic is adequately combined in hybrid type. Through the computer simulations, it is proved that the Hybrid GA-PE WAVENET control technique has a more excellent dynamic response than PID control technique and GA-PID one.

In this study, the dynamic characteristic of a contact wire and pantograph suppling electrical power to high-speed trains are investigated from an electrical response point of view. To analysis power line disturbance by induced contact loss phenomenon for high speed operation, a hardware Simulator which considered contact loss between contact wire and the pantograph as well as contact wire deviation is developed. It is confirmed that a contact wire and pantograph model are necessary for studying the dynamic behavior of the pantograph system. One of the most important needs accompanied by increasing the speed of high-speed train is reduced that an arc phenomenon by loss of contact brings out EMI. In case of a high-speed train using electrical power, as comparison with diesel rolling stock, PLD(Power Line Disturbance) such as harmonic, transient voltage and current, EMI(Electromagnetic Interference), dummy signal injection etc usually occurs. Throughout experiment, it is verified that an arc phenomenon is brought out for simulator operation and consequently conducted noise is flowed in electric circuit by power line disturbance.

Generally, the fuel economy of hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) is effected by the size of each component. In this study the fuel economy for HEV of our own making is evaluated using backward simulator, where dynamic programming is applied. In a competition, the vehicle is running through the road course that includes many speed bumps and steep grade. Therefore, the new driving cycle including road grade is developed for the simulation. The backward simulator is also developed through modeling each component. A performance map of engine and motor for component sizing is made from the existing engine map and motor map adapted to the HEV of our own making. For optimal component sizing, the feasible region is defined by restricting the power range of power sources. Optimal component size for best fuel economy is obtained within the feasible region through the backward simulation.
