두 탑 PSA공정의 상세 동적모사 및 초기운전조건 결정 (Rigorous dynamic simulation and determination of initial operating conditions for two-bed PSA processes)

  • A rigorous dynamic simulation was performed in binary gas mixture H$_{2}$/CO (70:30 vol.%) to determinate start-up operating conditions of PSA(Pressure Swing Adsorption) processes. The rigorous dynamic model for the PSA process contains an Ergun equation for expressing the pressure drop in a bed, and valve equations to compute the boundary pressure change of the bed. As the result of the continuous dynamic simulation of 100 operating cyles in various initial conditions, the unsteady-state appeared in the early period and the cyclic steady-state came out about 20th cycle in feed condition and vaccum condition, and 30th cycle in pure H$_{2}$ condition. As time goes by valve equations made change the pressure at each end of the bed in ressurization, countercurrunt-depressurization and pressure equalization steps. The H$_{2}$ purity and the recovery is 99.99% and 86.73% respectively, which is slightly higher than the experimental data. Main contributiion of this study includes supplying fundamental technologies of handling combined variables PSA processes by developing rigorous models.

가상 동흡진기를 고려한 우등버스용 MR댐퍼의 제어 시뮬레이션 (Control simulation of MR damper for a cruise bus including the virtual dynamic damper)

  • In this study, a control method of MR(magneto-rheological) damper for a cruise bus is investigated. A virtual dynamic damper and a sky-hook algorithm are employed to control the damping characteristics of MR damper. Coefficients for a virtual dynamic damper are determined through the parameter identification. A quarter car model of a cruise bus is established by using ADAMS/Car program for the computer simulation. Sine wave excitation and random excitation are used to compare the controlled MR damper with the passive damper. From the simulation results, the performance of MR damper with a virtual dynamic damper is better than that of the passive damper.

  • Electric Power Steering (EPS) mechanism has become widely equipped in passenger vehicle due to the environmental consciousness and higher fuel efficiency. This paper describes the development of co-simulation technique and simulation integration technique of EPS control system with dynamic vehicle model. A full vehicle model interacted with EPS control algorithm is concurrently simulated on a single bump road condition. Dynamic responses of vehicle chassis and steering system resulting from road surface impact are evaluated and compared with proving ground experimental data. The comparisons will show reasonable agreement on tie-rod load. rack displacement, handle-wheel torque and tire center acceleration. This developed simulation capability can be used for EPS performance evaluation and calibration as well as for vehicle handling performance integration and synthesis.

  • This paper deals with the dynamic analysis of wind power systems with permanent magnet generator (PMG). The dynamic modeling for wind turbines, PMG and dc-dc convertor are performed. On the basis of dynamic simulation model simulation results are obtained. Finally, test results such as cp vs. TSR and generated voltage are given to confirm the analysis.

  • The robot soccer simulation game is a dynamic multi-agent environment. In this paper we suggest a new reinforcement learning approach to each agent´s dynamic positioning in such dynamic environment. Reinforcement learning is the machine learning in which an agent learns from indirect, delayed reward an optimal policy to choose sequences of actions that produce the greatest cumulative reward. Therefore the reinforcement learning is different from supervised learning in the sense that there is no presentation of input-output pairs as training examples.   • In this study, friction stick-slip vibration're interpretation of the phenomenon, we used a statistical model of friction. In a previous study using a definite friction factor, but to a dynamic simulation using a constantly changing during the integration time by a Monte Carlo simulation method, not the average coefficient of friction and the dynamic friction coefficient and a constant value in this study.

  • The increased integration of fuel cells with power electronics, critical loads, and control systems has prompted recent interest in accurate electrical terminal models of the polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cell. Advancement in computing technologies, particularly parallel computation techniques and various real-time simulation tools have allowed the prototyping of novel apparatus to be investigated in a virtual system under a wide range of realistic conditions repeatedly, safely, and economically. This paper builds upon both advancements and provides a means of optimized model construction boosting computation speeds for a fuel cell model on a real-time simulator which can be used in a power hardware-in-the-loop (PHIL) application. Significant improvement in computation time has been achieved. The effectiveness of the proposed model developed on Opal RT's RT-Lab Matlab/Simulink based real-time engineering simulator is verified using experimental results from a Ballard Nexa fuel cell system.

  • A circuit-domain model of PWM inverter provides accurate simulation results in consideration of detail switching characteristics. Although, a huge amount of computation time is demanded for the simulation results of several ten seconds, which is the required time to analyze system behaviors or control performances of Electric Power Steering(EPS) on real drive condition. This paper describes the nonlinear inverter model for fast dynamic simulation of EPS without the PWM concept through analyzing the effect of nonlinear switching characteristics like dead time, forward voltage drop and conduction resistance. Some inverter models including proposed model are compared from two standpoints which are computation time and accuracy. The comparison results show the usefulness of the developed model in order to develop the control algorithm through the fast prediction of system behaviors.

  • An advanced simulation model for brushless dc (BLDC) motor drives using Matlab is presented. In the developed model, the dynamic characteristics of speed and torque as well as voltages and currents of pwm inverter components can be effectively monitored and analyzed. Therefore, it can be expected that the developed simulation model can be an easy-to-design tool for the development of BLDC motor drives including control algorithms and topological variations with reduced computation time and memory size.
