  • This thesis analyzes the nature of proof in the perspective on the philosophy of mathematics. such as absolutism, quasi-empiricism and social constructivism. And this thesis searches for the improvement of teaching proof in the light of the result of those analyses of the nature of proof. Though the analyses of the nature of proof in the perspective on the philosophy of mathematics, it is revealed that proof is a dynamic reasoning process unifying the way of analytical thought and the way of synthetical thought, and plays remarkably important roles such as justification, discovery and conviction. Hence we should teach proof as a dynamic reasoning process unifying the way of analytic thought and the way of synthetic thought, avoiding the mistake of dealing with proof as a unilaterally synthetic method. At the same time, we should make students have the needs of proof in a natural way by providing them with the contexts of both justification and discovery simultaneously. Finally, we should introduce the aspect of proof that can be represented as conviction, understanding, explanation and communication to school mathematics.

  • in this paper, we propose a dynamic-based compression system by creating mosaic background and transmitting the change information. A dynamic mosaic of the background is progressively integrated in a single image using the camera motion information. For the camera motion estimation, we calculate perspective projection parameters for each frame sequentially with respect to its previous frame. The camera motion is robustly estimated on the background by discriminating between background and foreground regions. The modified block-based motion estimation is used to separate the background region.

  • Korea's R&D investment has significantly increased in recent years. However, the efficiency of R&D investment is still in question. In order to examine the ways to improve the efficiency of R&D investment, this paper presents dynamic analysis on both quantitative and qualitative efficiency of R&D projects. A Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA)/Window method is used to analyze static and dynamic efficiencies of Industrial Material R&D projects in Korea from 2012 to 2016. As a result, statistically significant differences between quantitative and qualitative efficiency have been found. It has been observed that characteristics of Decision Making Units(DMUs) have an impact on both static and dynamic efficiencies. In particular, textile and ceramic projects showed relatively stable qualitative efficiency for a short-term perspective, while steel and chemical projects showed such stability for a long-term perspective. Among the types of project principals, universities showed relatively stable efficiency, compared with private sectors and research institutes. The results of this paper can be used as a guideline to manage the performance and stability of R&D projects' efficiency.

  • The purpose of this study is to search the effective teaching-learning program by considering how affect on formation of the process-object perspective of linear function using Excel. In this study we analyzed function units in textbook and examined how Excel affect on the formation of the process-object perspective of linear function. Teaching experiment was based on qualitative case study and performed for five classes with five 8th graders. Data were gathered through observations, audio-taped interviews, video recording of the students 'work, students' worksheets, and detailed field notes. Findings indicate that exploration learning environment using Excel could supplement paper-and-pencil environment. We found that intuitive, dynamic, explorative, feedback skills via Excel can play the role of scaffolding supporting formation of process perspective object perspective of linear function.

  • Communication in delay tolerant networks (DTNs) relies on message transport by mobile nodes, and a correct understanding of the node mobility characteristics is therefore crucial to the design of an efficient DTN routing protocol. However, previous work has mainly focused on uncovering all behaviors of node movement, which is not conducive to accurately detecting the specific movement characteristics of a different node. In this paper, we seek to address this problem based on a consideration of social relationships. We first consider social ties from both static and dynamic perspectives. For a static perspective, in addition to certain accidental events, social relations are considered for a long time granularity and tend to be stable over time. For a dynamic perspective, social relations are analyzed in a relatively short time granularity and are likely to change over time. Based on these perspectives, we adopted different efficient approaches to dividing node pairs into two classes, i.e., familiar and unfamiliar pairs. A threshold approach is used for static social ties whereas a density-based aggregation method is used for dynamic social relationships. Extensive experimental results show that both familiar and unfamiliar node pairs have the same inter-contact time distribution, which closely follows a power-law decay up to a certain point, beyond which it begins to exponentially decay. The results also demonstrate that the inter-contact time distribution of familiar pairs decays faster than that of unfamiliar pairs, whether from a static or dynamic perspective. In addition, we also analyze the reason for the difference between the inter-contact time distributions of both unfamiliar and familiar pairs.

  • Interaction requires dynamic relationship between objects. In ubiquitous computing environment, interaction between human and the environment is implied. Tactile interaction has so far been less addressed, while tactile sensation should be an important topic in the field of multimedia study. This paper describes development of a novel PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) dynamic tactile sensor and associated experiments. PVDF dynamic tactile sensors detect touch events applied to the sensor skin by low frequency components of the signal. Rubber skin-covered sensing material was mounted on the bones. Robust performance with low noise was figured out in our robotic experiment. Whereas most conventional sensors are interested in measurement, our dynamic tactile sensor is sensitive to change of state, which could be a key for economic understanding of happenings in the dynamic world. We note that dynamic sensing uses motion as a part of sensing modality We suggest that dynamic sensing be understood in technological terms in the perspective of interactive media and ubiquitous computing.

  • This paper debates on two different theoretical positions in explaining corporate adaptation. Until the 1980s, a restructuring perspective had dominated in explaining corporate success and adaptation. However, this perspective pays little attention to how firms adapt to environmental change and why some firms adapt successfully, while some others fail to adapt. Thus a restructuring perspective does not give insights into a context-specific explanation of corporate learning and adaptation. More recently, especially since the 1990s, academic focus on corporate adaptation and evolution has shifted towards exploring the nature of learning that leads to the dynamic competitiveness. A learning perspective emphasizes the influence of knowledge, learning and competence on corporate evolution. However, it reveals that this view is also less appropriate for explaining corporate adaptation in radical shifts in environment. In this context, the evolutionary theories of the firm need to seek to maintain a balance between two theoretical positions in order to understand more effectively the dynamic evolution and adaptation of the firm. This paper shows that the dynamics of corporate adaptation and evolution are an outcome of the mixture of perpetual processes of restructuring and learning, both continuous and discontinuous.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of IT-enabled dynamic capability in the relationship between intellectual capital and innovation performance under Industry 4.0. We approach the intellectual capital from the perspective of the resource-based view and define the components of intellectual capital as human capital, social capital, and organizational capital. On the other hand, the IT-based dynamic capability means that the information technology and the utilization ability of the enterprise are combined to overcome the turbulent environment. The empirical results showed that the IT-enabled dynamic capabilities mediated the relationship between intellectual capital and innovation performance as it revealed in theory. And in terms of practical implications, we found the importance of an organization's information technology ability to effectively utilize intangible resources for organizational performance.
