A Dynamic Location Recognition Technique for Location-based Service (위치 기반 서비스를 위한 동적 위치 인지 기법)

  • The recent location-based services of smart-phones are some of the rapidly growing mobile technology. This paper proposes a technique for modifying the change cycle of location-based services according to the specific location using location based services. This technique shows that the cycle of the location-based services can be customized based on the location. As a result, this technique proposes a process that can reduce the waste of resources compared to the location based services of a constant cycle.

  • It is very important for the robot to recognize its position to accomplish numerous tasks and to go to the goal. In this paper, we suggest Location Recognition System to distinguish robot's locations using land-mark and the odometer in the environment of sensor network. All in all, we created a basic intelligent robot, Location Recognition System, and Environment Sensor Modules; we verified the proposed algorithm through computer simulation.

  • With the advent of new technologies such as HSDPA, WiBro(Wireless Broadband) and personal devices, we can access various contents and services anytime and anywhere. A location based service(LBS) is essential for providing personalized services with individual location information in ubiquitous computing environment. In this paper, we propose mapping algorithm for error compensation of indoor localization system. Also we explain filter and indoor localization system. we have developed mapping algorithms composed of a map recognition method and a position compensation method. The map recognition method achieves physical space recognition and map element relation extraction. We improved the accuracy of position searching. In addition, we reduced position errors using a dynamic scale factor.

  • This paper presents a multimodal sensor system that can determine the location of house space by analyzing the postures and heights of the residents. It consists of two sensors: a tilt sensor and an altimeter sensor. The tilt sensor measures the static and dynamic postures of the residents, and the altimeter sensor measures their heights. The sensor system includes a Bluetooth transmitter, and the server receives the measured data and determines the location in the house. We describe the process determining the locations of the residents after analyzing their postures and behaviors from the measured data. We also demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed system by applying it to a real environment.

  • Wireless network using dynamic IP and mobile IP technology provides the user with convenience of access and movement. However, this causes the attacker who disguises normal user(pretending to be a regular user) to have more opportunity in regard to access and acquisition of information. This paper help the network administrator and the service provider quickly to recognize the attacker's intention to access network and service. Therefore network administrator and service provider can specify and respond the location of the attacker appropriately. To achieve above, we define an entity (W_L_M) that manages user information of WiFi and LTE network, and propose messages and procedures for attacker's location identification and alarm. The performance evaluation of this paper is based on qualitative analysis. By using the proposed method, some cost (message creation, processing and transmission) occurred but it was analyzed to be less than the total network operation cost. The proposal of this paper is a management method that utilizes existing network information and structure. This method can be used as a reference material to enhance security.

A Study on Printed Hangeul Recognition with Dynamic Jaso Segmentation and Neural Network (동적자소분할과 신경망을 이용한 인쇄체 한글 문자인식기에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we present a method for dynamic Jaso segmentation and Hangeul recognition using neural network. It uses the feature vector which is extracted from the mesh depending on the segmentation result. At first, each character is converted to 256 dimension feature vector by four direction contributivity and $8\times8$ mesh. And then, the character is classified into 6 class by neural network and is segmented into Jaso using the classification result the statistic vowel location information and the structural information. After Jaso segmentation, Hanguel recognition using neural network is performed. We experiment on four font of which three fonts are used for training the neural net and the rest is used of testing. Each font has the 2350 characters which are comprised in KS C 5601. The overall recognition rates for the training data and the testing data are 97,4% and 94&% respectively. This result shows the effectivness of proposed method.

  • Development of AI and big data-based algorithms to advance and optimize the recognition and detection performance of various static/dynamic vehicles in front and around the vehicle at a time when securing driving safety is the most important point in the development and commercialization of autonomous vehicles. etc. are being studied. However, there are many research cases for recognizing the same vehicle by using the unique advantages of radar and camera, but deep learning image processing technology is not used, or only a short distance is detected as the same target due to radar performance problems. Therefore, there is a need for a convergence-based vehicle recognition method that configures a dataset that can be collected from radar equipment and camera equipment, calculates the error of the dataset, and recognizes it as the same target. In this paper, we aim to develop a technology that can link location information according to the installation location because data errors occur because it is judged as the same object depending on the installation location of the radar and CCTV (video).

Implementation of Interactive Media Content Production Framework based on Gesture Recognition (제스처 인식 기반의 인터랙티브 미디어 콘텐츠 제작 프레임워크 구현)

  • In this paper, we propose a content creation framework that enables users without programming experience to easily create interactive media content that responds to user gestures. In the proposed framework, users define the gestures they use and the media effects that respond to them by numbers, and link them in a text-based configuration file. In the proposed framework, the interactive media content that responds to the user's gesture is linked with the dynamic projection mapping module to track the user's location and project the media effects onto the user. To reduce the processing speed and memory burden of the gesture recognition, the user's movement is expressed as a gray scale motion history image. We designed a convolutional neural network model for gesture recognition using motion history images as input data. The number of network layers and hyperparameters of the convolutional neural network model were determined through experiments that recognize five gestures, and applied to the proposed framework. In the gesture recognition experiment, we obtained a recognition accuracy of 97.96% and a processing speed of 12.04 FPS. In the experiment connected with the three media effects, we confirmed that the intended media effect was appropriately displayed in real-time according to the user's gesture.

  • Recently, autonomous navigation technology, obstacle recognition, and obstacle collision avoidance technology are actively being developed for an unmanned surface vehicle (USV). The path to move from the current location to the destination should be planned, in order for an USV to autonomously operate safely to its destination. The dynamic window approach (DWA) is a well-known navigation scheme as a local path planning. The DWA algorithm derives the linear velocity and angular velocity by evaluating the destination direction, velocity, and distance from the obstacle. However, because DWA algorithm does not consider tracking the path, when using only the DWA algorithm, the ship may navigate away from the path line after avoiding obstacles. In this paper, we propose an improved DWA algorithm that can follow path line. And we implemented the simulation and compared the existing DWA algorithm with the improved DWA algorithm proposed in this paper. As a result, it is confirmed that the proposed DWA algorithm follows the path line better.
