주차장 및 교량 강우유출수의 중금속 오염물질 특성과 동적 EMCs (Characteristics of Metal Pollutants and Dynamic EMCs in a Parking Lot and a Bridge during Storms)

  • The control of nonpoint source pollution is essentially needed to successfully perform the Total Maximum Daily Load program. Of the various land uses in the nonpoint source, the paved areas such as a parking lot and a bridge are stormwater intensive land uses because of high imperviousness and high pollutant mass emissions. This research was performed to understand the magnitude and nature of the stormwater emissions with the purposes of quantifying stormwater pollutant concentrations and mass emission rates from a parking lot and a bridge. Two monitoring sites in Kongju city were equipped with an automatic rainfall gages and an automatic flow meter for accumulating the data such as rainfall, water quality and runoff flow rates. This paper will summarize the metal concentration changes during the storm duration and metal EMCs to characterize the concentration profiles in a parking lot and a bridge. Also a new concept, dynamic EMC, will be proposed to find the relationship between EMC and first flush effect. It can be used to determine the economical treatment criteria in best management practices.

  • Since the water quality of drinking water sources has been recognized as a big issue, the ministry of Environment in Korea is designing the total maximum daily load (TMDL) program for 4 major large rivers. The TMDL program can be successfully performed as controling the nonpoint pollutants from watershed area near the river. Of the various landuses in nonpoint pollution, parking lots and bridges are stormwater intensive landuses because of high imperviousness and high pollutant mass emissions from vehicular activities. Vehicle emissions from those areas include different pollutants such as heavy metals, oil and grease and particulates from sources such as fuels, brake pad and tire wear, etc. Especially the pollutant washed-off from the landuses are directly affecting to the river water quality. Therefore this research was conducted to understand the magnitude and nature of the stormwater emissions with the goal of quantifying stormwater pollutant concentrations and mass emission rates of pollutants from parking lot and bridges in Korea. In Kongju city areas, two monitoring sites were equipped with an automatic rainfall gages and an automatic flow meter for accumulating the useful data such as rainfall, water quality and runoff flow. This manuscripts will show the concentration changes during storm duration and EMCs to characterize the concentration profiles in different land uses. Also the first flush criteria will be suggested using dynamic EMCs. The definition of dynamic EMC is a new approach explaining the relationship of EMC and first flush effect.

철로 역사 건설에 따른 강우 유출수내 비점오염물질의 동적 EMCs 및 처리방안 연구 (Dynamic EMCs and Optimum Treatment Criteria for Stormwater Runoff of a Railway Station)

  • In order to successfully propel the stormwater management program, administration plan of stormwater management is enacted in Spring, 2005. Hereafter, in a newly developing area such as a railway station, the best management practices should be established to control the nonpoint pollutant. Construction of a railway station means the increasing of imperviousness rate and lots of nonpoint pollutant emissions during rainfall. Therefore this research was performed to determine the pollutant EMC and to suggest the possible best management practice for treating nonpoint pollutants from a railway station. The $95\%$ confidence intervals of pollutant EMC were ranged to 69.4-115.2mg/L for TSS, 132.7-190.4mg/L for COD, 5.4-15.1ug/L for Oil & Grease, 4.9-12.4mg/L for TKN and 568.4-620.1ug/L for TP. The first flush criteria was ranged to 5-10mm accumulated rainfall using dynamic EMCs, Also laboratory reactor testing was performed. It shows that Zeolite media is useful for removing the washed-off pollutants from a railway station, especially for metal ions.

휨가공을 위한 액체암모니아 처리재의 물리적 성질 (Physical Properties of Liquid Ammonia Wood for Bending)

  • 액체암모니아 처리 침·활엽수 소시편의 물리적 성질을 무처리와 비교하였다. 처리시간은 4와 8시간으로 하였다. 동일한 환경에서 처리재의 평형함수율은 무처리재보다 항상 높았으나 전건 후에는 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 암모니아 처리를 오래할수록 방사방향과 접선방향으로 수축이 일어났으나 섬유방향에는 변화가 없었다. 또 처리시간이 길수록 초음파 전달속도는 감소하고 밀도는 증가하였다. 따라서 동탄성계수는 감소함을 보였다. 밤나무의 가소화는 증기처리가 액체 암모니아 처리보다 효과 있음과 인사이징이 침·활엽수 모두 액체 암모니아 침투성을 높이지 못했음이 밝혀졌다. 액체 암모니아 처리는 5mm두께 침엽수 시편에서 제일 좋은 가소화 효과를 보였다. 상대유전율과 열전달계수도 측정하여 처리재와 무처리재를 비교하였다.

동적 EMC를 이용한 고속도로 초기우수 처리 기준 산정 (Determination of First Flush Criteria in Highway Stormwater Runoff using Dynamic EMCs)

  • The Ministry of Environment in Korea has introduced Total Pollution Load Management System (TPLMS) in major 4 large rivers to protect the water quality from possible pollutants. In order to successfully achieve the TPLMS, the nonpoint source should be controled by applying the best management practices in highly polluted areas. Of the various nonpoint sources, the highways are stormwater intensive landuses because of its high imperviousness and high pollutant mass emissions. The EMC (Event Mean Concentration) is an important parameter to correctly determine the pollutant mass loadings from nonpoint sources. However, it has wide ranges because of various reasons such as first flush phenomenon, rainfall and watershed characteristics. Even though the EMC is closely related to the first flush phenomenon, the relationship have not proven until present. Therefore, in this paper, the dynamic EMC method will be introduced to clearly make the relationship between EMC and first flush phenomenon. Also by applying the dynamic EMC method to monitored data, we found that the highly concentrated stormwater runoff was washed off within 20~50 minutes storm duration. The first flush criteria for economical treatment was also determined to 5~10 mm (mean=7.4 mm) as a cumulative rainfall.

  • 지금까지 전자 디바이스의 솔더접합부에 대한 신뢰성 평가에 있어서는 열충격시험에 의한 평가가 주류를 이루었다. 그러나 최근 모바일 제품이 소형화/다기능화되고 고밀도실장에 대한 요구가 증가함에 따라 BGA/CSP와 같은 솔더볼을 사용하는 패키지가 표면실장의 주류를 이루게 되었으며, 솔더접합부에 대한 메커니컬 스트레스 수명이 요구되어지고 있다. BGA/CSP의 솔더접합부에 대한 신뢰성 평가는 하중을 가한 상태에서 데이지체인 패턴의 전기적 저항변화와 스트레인 게이지에 의한 스트레스-스트레인 커브에 의해 행해진다. 본 연구에서는 자체 개발한 PCB만능시험장치의 응용과 솔더접합부에 대한 메커니컬 스트레스의 동적거동을 평가한 소니의 실험자료를 소개하도록 한다.

국산재의 응용물성연구II: 잣나무 낙엽송의 수분흡착성 및 열적·전기적·음향적 성질 (Study on Physical Properties of Domestic Species II: Sorption, Thermal, Electrical and Acoustic Properties of Pinus koraiensis and Larix kaempferi)

  • 주요 국산재의 여러 가지 응용물성을 매년 3수종씩, 3년에 걸쳐 조사하였다. 전보에 이어 우리나라의 침엽수 대표 수종인 잣나무 및 낙엽송을 사용하였다. 매년 동일한 장치와 실험조건으로 실험하였기 때문에 모든 수종에 대한 결과를 상호 비교할 수 있었다. 수분흡착성 실험은 목분을 이용하였으며, 넓은 범위의 상대습도조건에 따른 평형함수율과 흡착등온선을 구하였다. 열전도율과 열확산률은 열선열전도장치를, 전기의 부피저항률과 저항은 고전기저항계를 이용하여 측정하였다. 정목재와 판목재의 열적 전기적 특성차이가 관찰되었는데 이는 해부학적 차이에 의한 것으로 보인다. 음향적 성질은 음향측정시스템을 사용하여 동적탄성률, 내부마찰을 측정하였다. 본 논문의 결과들은 목재구조물 설계, 휴대용 목재수분계 보정, 음향적 성질 등에 필요한 기본 자료를 제공한다.
