CO2 가스쿨러용 콤팩트열교환기 개발에 관한 연구(2) - 열유량과 압력강하에 관한 실험 및 예측 - (Experimental Study on Compact type CO2 Gas Cooler(2) - Experiments and Predictions on Heat Flowrate and Pressure Drop -)

  • 다중관식 헬리컬 코일형 가스냉각기내 $CO_2$의 열유량과 압력강하는 LMTD 방식을 이용하여 예측하였고 그 결과를 실험값과 비교하였다. $CO_2$와 냉각수의 유량은 각각 0.06~0.075 kg/s이고, 가스냉각기의 냉각압력은 8~10 MPa이다. 초임계 $CO_2$의 냉각시의 열유량과 압력강하는 LMTD 방식을 이용하여 예측하였고, 이때 냉매측 열전달과 압력강하식은 각각 Gnielinski와 Dittus-Boelter 식을 사용하였다. LMTD법으로 예측한 값과 실험값을 비교한 결과, $CO_2$의 열유량과 압력강하는 상대적으로 좋은 일치를 보였다.

  • 본 연구는 석탄화력발전소 노의 연소효율 향상을 위하여 미분탄 수송배관의 공기-입자 유동장의 압력손실 특성을 분석하여 미분탄 수송장치 내에 설치되어 유량을 제어하는 오리피스의 설계에 적용하고자 하는 것이다. 통상의 미분탄 수송배관장치는 관의 형태에 따라 직선관, 곡선관 및 엘보우로 구성된다. 본 연구에서는 공기유동과 입자운동의 상호작용 해석을 통하여 직선관과 곡선관을 갖는 미분탄 수송배관장치 내의 압력손실을 분석하였다. 총 압력손실은 공기-미분탄 입자의 마찰 손실 증가와 배관의 길이, 곡선관 각도의 증가에 따라 증가하는 것으로 확인되었다. 연구결과로 압력손실과 유량제어를 위한 최적화된 오리피스 설계 프로그램이 개발되었으며 그 계산 결과를 기존의 실험결과와 비교, 분석하였다.

  • Numerical analysis is performed to find flow and heat transfer characteristics for ring type heat exchanger. 3-D numerical predictions are carried out for the ring type heat exchanger system with Reynolds number varying in the range of 1,000 and 10,000. From the prediction, streamwise velocity, pressure drop, flow rate and heat transfer coefficient are analyzed. It is also found that characteristics of pressure drop and heat transfer generally follow well proportional variations of Re$m^$for the wide range of Reynolds number considered in this study.

  • Liquid atomization by means of a spinning cup is widely used as a device for combustion, in cooling and spray drying. In this study, the blowing type rotary atomizer was experimental carried out the investigations on the characteristics of the blowing type rotary atomizer which is an air flow energy of blower instead of an electric motor most commonly used to a driven energy. The analysis on the rotary cup speed, air velocity with the blower conditions was performed and also the drop size was measured using LDPA. It was tried to analyzed on air-nozzle size and liquid flowrate as the result. It was found that the increase of the relative velocity between liquid and air improve significantly atomization liquid, and decrease of the liquid flowrate improved the maximum drop size though the mean drop size is really the same.

루우버핀 열교환기의 핀피치가 공기측 열전달에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Fin Pitch on Air Side Heat Transfer in Louvered-Fin Heat Exchanger)

  • In order to study on influence of fin pitch and shape of heat exchanger on the elevation of heat transfer efficiency, we make models of louvered fin type heat exchanger which was given a transformation of fin pitch in louvered fin type heat exchanger which are of en used now. And the influence of fin pitch on pressure drop and characteristics of heat transfer was experimented and analysed when air velocity and fin pitch was a variable. The results of experiment shows below. Pressure drop shows larger in louvered fin type heat exchanger than in plate fin type heat exchanger, size of pressure drop shows like this order that fin space is 4mm, 5mm, 6mm. Mean heat transfer coefficient shows higher in louvered fin type heat exchanger than in plate fin type heat exchanger, size of mean heat transfer coefficient by fin space shows same in both case in louvered fin type heat exchanger and plate fin type like this order that fin space is 4mm, 5mm, 6mm.

착상에 의한 휜관형 열교환기의 성능변화에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Performance Change of the Fin and Tube Type Heat Exchanger by the Frosting)

  • The present study was investigates the effect of the parameters on the frost formation and heat transfer performance such as fin shape, air temperature and air velocity. Heat transfer rate and pressure drop by frost were experimentally investigated. Effect of the wet blub temperature and air velocity on the heat transfer performance has been also investigated. The heat transfer performance of the louver fin and tube type heat exchanger was higher by maximum of 0.85% than the corrugate fin type at the air temperature of $2.0/1.5^{\circ}C$. As the wet blub temperature of air were increased, the heat transfer rate, pressure drop and mass of frost of three test models were increased. Especially, the maximum heat transfer rate and maximum pressure drop were shown for the Type B louver fin heat exchanger. As an experimental result, the enhancement factor(EF) of louver fin and tube type heat exchanger was only $0.2{\sim}0.4$ due to the high pressure drop.

Tow in 와류발생기에 의한 핀-관 열교환기의 성능실험 (Performance Evaluation in Fin-Tube Heat Exchanger by Tow-In Winglet Pairs)

  • To reduce the air side pressure drop in air-cooled heat exchanger, tow-in type winglet vortex generators are applied. A specially designed multiple-channel test core was used in the experiments for the various geometry of winglet vortex generators. The proposed tow-in type vortex generator gives significant separation delay, reduces form drag, and removes the zone of poor heat transfer from near-wake of the tubes. The results show the significant pressure drop reduction for the tow-in win91e1 vortex generators with the similar enhancement of the heat transfer as other vortex generator applications in heat exchanger. In the range of Reynolds number of 350 to 2100 the pressure drop decrease 8∼15% and 34∼55% for the in-line and staggered tube banks, respectively, compared to those without vortex generators.

  • This paper presents a novel electrostatic drop-an-demand ejector with a conductive pole inside nozzle. The MEMS fabricated pole-type nozzle shows a significant improvement in the performance and reliability of forming meniscus and generating a micro dripping mode of droplet out of the meniscus. It is verified experimentally that the use of the pole-type nozzle. The liquid is used D20+SDS+SWNT (5 %wt). The gap between upper electrode and nozzle is about 600 um. Electrostatic drop-an-demand ejection is observed when a DC voltage of 1.5 kV is applied between the control electrode and ground electrode. Droplet diameter is $100{\mu}m$.

Influence of design modification of control rod assembly for Prototype Generation IV Sodium-cooled Fast Reactor on drop performance

  • This paper presents the drop performance test of the control rod assembly which is one of the main components strongly related to the safety of the prototype generation IV sodium-cooled fast reactor. To investigate the drop performance, a real-sized control rod assembly that was recently modified based on the drop analysis results was newly fabricated, and several free drop tests under different flow rate conditions were carried out. Then the results were compared with those obtained from the previous tests conducted on the conceptually designed control rod assembly to demonstrate the improvement in performance. Moreover, the drop performance tests under several types and magnitudes of seismic loadings were also conducted to investigate the effect of the seismic loading on the drop performance of the modified control rod assembly. The results showed that the effects of the type and magnitude of the seismic loading on the drop performance of the modified control rod assembly were not significant. Also, the drop time requirement was successfully satisfied, even under the seismic loading conditions.
