A Study on the Design of a Wearable Solar Energy Harvesting Device Based on Outdoor Activities (아웃도어 활동기반 웨어러블 광에너지 하베스팅 장치 디자인에 관한 연구)

  • This study develops a wearable solar energy harvesting device that absorbs solar energy to generate and store power which can be used during outdoor activities by users even after dark. For this study, a prototype hat for outdoor activities at night was developed after the design of a solar energy harvesting generation, storage, and delivery system was designed that could store energy to light up LEDs. First, the main control board of the system was designed to integrate the charging function, the darkness detection circuit, the battery voltage sensing circuit, and the LED driving circuit in order to reduce bulkiness and minimize the connection structure. It was designed to increase convenience. Second, the system was designed as a wearable fashion product that connected each part with fiber bands and manufacturing it so as to be detachable from the hat. Third, charging and LED operation tests show that the battery is fully charged after 5 hours even in winter when the illuminance value is low. In addition, the LED operation experiment verified the effectiveness of a buffered system that could operate the LEDs for about 3 hours at night.

  • This study is to evaluate the structural stability of heavy duty structure of the Complex CNC automatic lathe. The analysis conditions were analyzed by applying the weight and load of the part itself and then applying the weight of the upper assembly unit. As a result of the structural analysis, the values of stress and strain are small and safety factor is high, and as a result of the dynamic analysis, there will be no resonance outside the equipment driving area, so there will be no problem in equipment stability.

  • When a dispute or conflict occurs, standard methods for resolving them include resolution by trial or resolutions outside of courts. An alternative dispute resolution method called ADR that aims at remedying disputes instead of filing lawsuits is used commonly throughout the world, including the US and China. ADR, which is a remedy method outside of courts, includes negotiation, arbitration, or mediation between the concerned parties, and the arbitration system has several advantages. The Lemon Law is a consumer protection law of the United States that was enacted in 1975. This law prescribes that when specified quality standards are not met repeatedly due to defects in vehicles or electronic products, the manufacturer must provide exchanges or refunds to consumers. Korea also enacted a newly revised automobile management act, the Korea "Lemon Law," on January 1, 2019, which allows consumers to receive exchanges or refunds from the manufacturer if the same malfunction repeatedly occurs after purchasing a new automobile. There have recently been many cases of large fires occurring while driving import vehicles, causing huge public rage; therefore, interest is being focused on the revised automobile management act. Part 5-2 of the automobile management act was newly added to implement automobile exchange or refund arbitration systems. It is desirable to utilize the arbitration system to smoothly resolve automobile-related disputes that have recently increased significantly, and it is thus being used frequently for practical purposes.

  • DDI(Display Driver IC) are used to drive numerous pixels that make up display. For stable driving of DDI, it is necessary to attach a protective film to shield electromagnetic waves. When the protective film is attached, defects often occur if the film is inclined or the center point is not aligned. In order to minimize such defects, an algorithm for correcting the center point and the inclined angle using camera image information is required. This technology detects the corner coordinates of the protective film by image processing in order to correct the positional defects where the protective film is attached. Corner point coordinates are detected using an algorithm, and center point position finds and correction values are calculated using the detected coordinates. LUT (Lookup Table) is used to quickly find out whether the angle is inclined or not. These algorithms were described by Verilog HDL. The method using the existing software requires a memory to store the entire image after processing one image. Since the method proposed in this paper is a method of scanning by adding a line buffer in one scan, it is possible to scan even if only a part of the image is saved after processing one image. Compared to those written in software language, the execution time is shortened, the speed is very fast, and the error is relatively small.

  • In the midst of accelerating wars around the world, unmanned robot technology that can guarantee the safety of human life is emerging. ERP-42 is a modular platform that can be used according to the application. In the field of defense, it can be used for transporting supplies, reconnaissance and surveillance, and medical evacuation in conflict areas. Due to the nature of the military environment, atypical environments are predominant, and in such environments, the platform's path followability is an important part of mission performance. This paper focuses on reducing the minimum turning radius in terms of improving path followability. The minimum turning radius of the existing 2WS/2WD in-wheel platform was reduced by increasing the torque of the independent driving in-wheel motor on the rear wheel to generate oversteer. To determine the degree of oversteer, two GPS were attached to the center of the front and rear wheelbases and measured. A closed-loop speed control method was used to maintain a constant rotational speed of each wheel despite changes in load or torque.

  • Recently the importance of the cargo handling equipments in a port has been increasing to get strong competition from other ports. Many ports are making efforts to modernize their cargo handling equipments. The kernel technology of such equipments is the speed control of DC motor which is used as an essential part of them. In this paper, we discuss the speed control of a DC motor as a basic work for building cargo handling equipments in a port. DC Motors are still widely used in industrial fields, as driving power motor for electrical fields. DC drives, being easy to control, are widely used in many variable-speed and position control drive system. Traditional analog control circuits used in such applications have many disadvantages. Complex control schemes are difficult to implement with analog components. All these factor and invention of the microprocessor has made it possible to use digital control circuits, using microprocessing system. These digital circuits have been found to be reliable, flexible, and also immune to noise. In this paper it presents the speed control of a SCR DC motor driver which using dual converter by 80c196kc microprocessor. We developed a thyristor power amplifier which does not cause damage thyristor because it is designed to prevent triggering the two SCRs in the same arm simultaneously. And it was analyzed voltage and currents wave at reactive load.

Development of Safety Sensor for Vehicle-Type Forest Machine in Forest Road

  • A sensor system has been developed that uses an ultrasonic sensor to detect the downhill slope on the side of a forest road and prevents a vehicle-type forest machine from rolling down a mountainside. A specular reflection of ultrasonic wave might cause severe issues in measuring distances to targets. By investigating the installation angle of the sensor to minimize the negative effects of specular reflection, the installation angle of lateral monitoring ultrasonic sensor could be determined based on the width of road shoulder. Obstacles such as small rocks or piece of log in a forest road may cause the forest machine to be overturned while the machine riding over due to excessive its posture change. It was determined that the laser sensor could be a part of a sensor system capable of specifying the location and size of small obstacles. Not only this sensor system including ultrasonic and laser sensors can issue a warning of dangerous sections to drivers in forest forwarders currently in use, but also it can be used as a driving safety sensor in autonomous forest machine or remote-control forest machine in the future.

  • Wire harness is a component for efficient control when electronic parts are required such as construction machinery and electric vehicles. With emerging issues such as autonomous driving and automation in construction, a wire harness composed of multiple cables has become an essential part because more electronic parts are required. However, when a wire harness failure occurs, systems can be stopped, accidents can occur, and economic damage can be significant. Therefore, in this paper, we developed a digital fault screening system that could easily and quickly diagnose faults in the wire harness. The principle of the developed system was to sequentially send pulse signals to the wire harness and use returned signals to perform fault detection. As a result of diagnosing faults using the developed failure detection system, a detection accuracy of 99.9 % was confirmed through the experiments.

  • In this paper, we implemented for the development of a high output induction lamp system, which lamp design is optimized by gas type, mixing ratio, pressure and discharge tube size, amalgam type and mixing ratio, and characteristics of ferrite core in the lamp. It's the circuit design by improving the power factor and efficiency according to the driving method, which has analyzing the characteristics according to the waveform and frequency. Finally, luminaries design part for applying the optimal lighting system considering the surrounding environment, the characteristics of the lighting circuit for electrodeless lamp has analyzed and the improvement has been proceeded. In conclusion, the driving frequency has optimized at 135kHz with degrading 710C based on the results of the optical characteristics of the induction lamp on peak noise FET(Q3,Q4) damage.

A STUDY ON THE AIR SCREEN IN WATER 1. Experiments on the Air Screen Effects for Driving and Intercepting Fish School (어업용 수중 기포막에 관한 연구 1. 기포막에 의한 어군의 차단 및 구집 실험)

  • This study has been carried out to observe the driving and the intercepting effects of air screen on some sea-water fishes ; Chrysophrys major, Mylio macrocephalus, Fugu pardalis. 1. By perforating fine holes on the compressed air pipes, air screen was formed in the water, and this screen was set at 45, and 90 against the fish passage to observe the reactions on the part of the fish. 2. Changes were given to the location of the air screen in the water to observe how the air screen drived the fish to its direction. 3. The effective distance between holes on the air piprs was determined by a series of experiments of setting up two air screens of various types in hole distance, by moving a screen to-ward the other, and of observing the distance between two screens when fish eseape through the space. The results of the above experiments observed as follows were : 1. The passage of fish was effectively intercepted by setting up the air screens at 45 degrees against the fish passage and it was also intercepted when the screen was set at 90 degrees against the passage. 2. Fish could be driven by moving the air screen toward the fish. 3. The air screen formed from the pipe above than 0.3mm in diameter was effective, but less than 0.2mm was not sufficiently effective. 4. The strength of the air pressure in the pipe should be higher than 0.087kg/cm2. 5. The fish holding ability to obtain effective air screen was ranged as following when the air pressure was 0.160kg/cm2. and the hole diameter was 0.3mm on the 12.6mm pipe, depending upon the intervals of the holes on the pipe: The shortest distance which could hold fish between two screens was 59.4cm when the holes were perforated at every 40cm; 33.5cm when at every 30cm; 28.75cm when at every 10cm: and 27.25cm when at every 5cm. Thus, no significant change was at served when the holes were perforated more densely than 30cm intervals. Therefor the hole intervals should be 30cm in designing fishing gear employing air screen.
