The sample for this study consisted of 422 university students of five universities in Seoul. The data were collected using the structured questionnaires. The statistical methods used for the analysis were descriptive statistics, chi-square, factor analysis, and cluster analysis. The major findings are as follows. 1. The result of factors for consumption values of students emerged four factors. These were called as 'materialism', 'honor centered', 'family centered', 'hedonism' value. 2. The cluster analysis was conducted based on these four factors. The result showed 3 groups of consumption value which were called as 'material' honor value group', 'family value group', 'hedonic value group'. 3. The consumption value of university students did not significantly differ according to their demographic variables. 4. The behavior of art appreciation of university students significantly differed by their demographic characteristics and consumption value. The material' honor valued group showed the least chances to make decisions on art appreciation for one's own, which reflected that this group appreciate art to satisfy their honors rather than to enjoy art itself. They also showed the most chances to consider the renownedness of the art work or artists among three groups. And they showed the least chances to pay for the tickets for art appreciation, all of those meant that they appreciate arts unvoluntarily in situational condition. The family valued group showed the most chances to pay for the tickets when they appreciate arts. And therefore they were most susceptible for the prices. The hedonic valued group showed the most interests in art. They decided to appreciate art for their own, and they considered the contents and the highness in the level of the art the most when they appreciate art. And they show the most intention of participation in drama/musical performances, which reflect their interests in hedonic values. Based on these results of this study concluded that the consumption values of university students affected their behavior of art appreciation. Thus, university students' behavior on art appreciation can be effectively developed by education according to their consumption values.

  • The actor's art work is to build and create a role on stage based on the writer's drama. The actor's role creation is possible by analyzing the role of the writer in the drama logically and acting it actively. This is how an actor who practices practical acts goes beyond a stereotypical role-building and performs live acting skills. A case study in the field work for the application of Etude is absolutely necessary at present, where Etude of Stanislavsky is operated in Korean university education and field. This study will be a case in which Etude, which is a scientific and systematic acting methodology of Stanislavsky, is recognized and applied in the field as a methodology for more extended actor training methodology rather than making a judgment about the value of Etude as applied to theater education and the field as an acting training method. The researcher will introduce the methodology of using Etude as an acting method of Stanislavsky through the use of Etude in the creative play , and would like to give an example of an acting creation process model about 'how to apply Etude'. Through these studies and applications, actors can avoid falling into stereotypes and mannerism, and prepare the foundations for a living actor's art, the acting guide for creating a practical role.

  • In South Korea which has become a multicultural society, ethnic and cultural others have suffered from discrimination against them and isolation from society. Multicultural policies and multicultural public education have simply focused on the assimilation of cultural others without providing opportunities to build a reciprocal relationship between Kor eans and cultural others. Noting this reality, this paper proposes intercultural Christian education as a prophetic and educational role of faith communities in society. Intercultural education, intercultural theology, Miroslav Volf's drama of embrace, and Sang-Jin Park's theory of the ecosystem of Christian education offer theoretical foundations for intercultural Christian education. Based on these foundations, the paper discusses the definition and goal of intercultural Christian education and argues for the roles of intercultural Christian education to help Christ ians "SEE" the self, the other, and the community through self-reflection, embrace, and ecological transformation. As intercultural Christian education pursues to nurture Christians to have a respectful and hospitable mindset toward cultural others, such education will help faith communities seek a multi-colored kingdom of God.

  • With the continuous development of the Internet and digital, platforms are emerging to store large amounts of media data and provide customized services to individuals through online. Companies that provide these services recommend movies that suit their personal tastes to promote media consumption. Each company is doing a lot of research on various algorithms to recommend media that users prefer. Movies are divided into genres such as action, melodrama, horror, and drama, and the film's audio (music, sound effect, voice) is an important production element that makes up the film. In this research, based on movie trailers, we extract audio for each genre, check the commonalities of audio for each genre, distinguish movie genres through supervised learning of artificial intelligence, and propose a utilization method for generating metadata in the future.

  • This study is a survey conducted to explore what art high school students specifically see as nature of science. Third-year students of a high school of arts in Gyeonggi-do participated in the survey. The questionnaire was classified into three categories - the formative arts in the fine arts, the sound arts in music, the performing arts in dance, and drama and play. The study analyzed what they think of as similar aspects of science and art respectively according to their majors, with focus on the extracts. As a result, they mentioned 'creative imagination', 'correlation with technology', 'social and cultural relation', 'subjectivity', 'variability', and 'inquiring attitude' as similarities between science and art. The results are almost the same as the elements of the nature of science as agreed on by scientists. From the result, we can assume that students majoring in art, indeed, need an education on the nature of science. Also, while the fine arts students have more tendency to perceive inquiring attitude than others, music students are more likely to perceive variability than others. Therefore, teaching strategy in experimental inquiring context for the former is more helpful in understanding the nature of science, and teaching strategy in the context of scientific history for the latter.

  • The authoring systems for digital contents using multimedia technologies ate requested in many fields such as education, medical science, entertainment market e-commerce and etc. Especially, the emergence of cyber universities and the rapid expansion of on-line education market require the effective contents authoring systems, which have various functions to generate the qualified contents. Therefore, many systems arc developed and currently used. However, since the developed systems considered only the developer's convenience, the generated digital contents by using these systems are failed to draw tile users'(or learners') active interaction with contents. That is, since the users just watch the contents like watching a drama or a film, it causes many problems in delivering the contents effectively or in evaluating the users. This paper presents, develops, and implements the new contents authoring system by using programing languages and/or software tools. The presented, developed, and implemented system mimics the face-to-face education in off-line system, induces the users' active interaction with contents, and continuous evaluation to the users.
