전달함수와 진동응답 측정에 의한 원심펌프에서의 유체력 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Hydraulic Excitation Forces Using Transfer Function and Operational Measured Data for the Centrifugal Pump)

  • Operating excitation forces of the linear vibratory system are normally determined by direct measurement techniques using load cells, strain gauges, etc. But, hydraulic forces of the rotating turbomachinery such as centrifugal pumps are exerted on an impeller due to asymmety of the flow by the interaction between pump impeller and volute. So, investigations of wide range of hydraulic designs and geometric deviations are difficult by direct method. This paper presents a hybrid approach for fourier transformed operational excitation forces, which uses pseudo-inverse matrix of the transfer matrix for the system and the measured vibrational data with standard installed pump. The determination of the transfer function matrix is based on a linear rotor/stationary system and steady state harmonic response in finite element analysis. And, vibrational data is collected in both vertical and horizontal directions at inboard and outboard bearing housings. The results of the process may be enhanced by making acceleration measurements at many more locations than there are forces to be determined.

유한요소법에 의한 펌프축계의 안정성해석 (Stability analysis of pump using finite element method)

  • With the tendency toward high speed and high pressure in centrifugal pumps, the problem of sub-synchronous vibration has arisen, caused by the hydraulic forces of the working fluid, such as wearring, balance piston, impeller, etc.. These forces can drastically alter the rotor critical speeds and stability characteristics, and can be acted significant destabilizing forces. For preventing such self-excited vibration, the desing of the rotor system needs, which would secure the stability of the machine. In this paper, a procedure is presented for dynamic modeling of rotor-bearing-seal-impeller systems which consist of rigid disks, distributed parameter finite rotor elements and discrete bearings, seals and impellers. A finite element model including the effects of rotatory inertia and gyroscopic moments is developed using the consistent matrix approach. The technique of dynamic matrix reduction is applied to the shaft matrices to reduce them to a set of matrices of dynamic of significantly fewer degrees of freedom. The representation of bearing, seal and impeller elements is in term of linearized stiffness and damping matrices by reasonably small perturbations from equilibrium. The stability behavior of a typical double suction centrifugal pump is presented. Results show the influence of clearance and flow conditions on running speeds and stability characteristics.

양흡입 원심펌프의 내부 표면 거칠기 개선에 따른 에너지 절감 실험 연구 (Experimental Study of Energy-Saving Realized with the Improvement of Inner Roughness in Double-Entry Centrifugal Pump)

  • 본 연구에서는 유량 $70.7m^3/min$, 양정 87m의 양흡입 원심펌프의 수력 손실 절감을 위해 표면 마찰거칠기를 변화시킨 실험을 수행하였다. 초기 표면 거칠기를 $100{\sim}110{\mu}m$에서 $0{\sim}0.08{\mu}m$로 변경한 후 표면 거칠기 변화가 전체 펌프의 효율 증가 및 펌프 운전시 소요되는 전력 원단위 변화 측정을 수행하였다. 표면 마찰 거칠기 개선 부위는 물과 접하는 펌프 내부 임펠러와 케이싱 표면으로 하였고 코팅 방식을 적용하였다. 그 결과 펌프 효율은 약 0.8~1.79% 증가하였으며, 전력원단위는 4.38 ~ 6.04% 절감 효과를 가져 왔다. 이와 같은 결과는 임펠러 및 내부 케이싱의 표면 거칠기가 펌프의 성능에 작지 않은 영향을 미칠 뿐만 아니라 표면 거칠기 개선을 통해 마찰에 의한 수력 손실을 줄여서 펌프 성능 향상과 상당한 에너지의 절감 효과를 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다.

회전축계의 진동해석을 위한 지지구조물의 등가모델에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Equivalent Model of the Support Structure for Rotordynamic Analysis)

  • This paper presents a new method for including the dynamic stiffness of the stationary parts in rotordynamic analysis. As a consequence of the support dynamics, critical speeds are varied and/or additional critical speeds are introduced. Therefore, dynamic effects of the support are often significant in high speed turbomachinery, but most of analysis has considered the support as a rigid body or a simple structure. The proposed method is based on the coupled characteristics of the driving point and transfer frequency response functions of the support system to model the equivalent spring-mass series in finite element analysis. To demonstrate the applicability of the simulation procedures provided, it is applied to the rotor model of the double suction centrifugal pump. Results of the suggested equivalent-support rotor model including coupled effects agree well with the entire pump model.

퍼지 구속조건을 고려한 회전축계의 최적설계 (Optimum Design of Rotor System Considering Fuzzy Constraints)

  • The dynamic design object of rotor system is to optimize the system in stability at the operating speed, unbalance response in the vicinity of the rotor critical speed, bearing weighting and system weighting. In conventional optimization method, designers have to set mathematical modeling, such as objective function, constraints and design parameters, strictly and quantitavely. But in actual design process, they do not treat all of these values strictly and some of them are somehow "fuzziness". So, considering boundary conditions of seal diameter, clearance, and length in a typical double suction centrifugal pump is fuzzy, this paper is considered fuzzy in constraints. Fuzzy method is used .alpha.-level cut method. Then, the optimum dimensions of seal according to values are obtained and vibration characteristics are investigated.estigated.
