  • This paper is intended as performance verification of efficient container door Open/Closed detection mechanism for Container Security Device(ConTracer) to container cargo transportation. Container door Open/Closed detection mechanism using Reed sensor is important to satisfies the US Department of homeland security customs and border protections requirements to many types of container door. Also, Verify that the container door is configured correctly and that you can check the illegal opening. In this article, Performance valuation of this Contacer on reed sensor has been verified through field test for each other 30 containers. Once the improvement has been made, we are suggest that propose skills will meet the highest standards for container security safety.

  • There exists required safety integrity level (SIL) to assure safety in accordance with international standards for every electrical / electronics / control equipment or systems with safety related functions. The SIL is allocated from lowest level (level 0) to highest level (level 4). In order to guarantee certain safety level that is internationally acceptable, application of methodology for SIL allocation and demonstration based on related international standards is required. However, the theoretical and practical study for safety integrity level is barely under way in the domestic railway industry. This research studied not only the global process of SIL allocation to guarantee safety in accordance with international standards for safety related equipment and system, but the quantitative methodology based on international standard and the semi-quantitative methodology as alternative way for SIL allocation. Specifically, the systematic SIL allocation for platform screen door system of railway is studied applying the semi-quantitative methodology in order to save much time and effort compared to quantitative method.

  • There exists required safety integrity level (SIL) to assure safety in accordance with international standards for every electrical / electronics / control equipment or systems with safety related functions. The SIL is allocated from lowest level (level 0) to highest level (level 4). However, application standard differs from every industry in domestic or international for application on mythology for allocation and demonstration of SIL. Application or assessment is not easy since absence on clear criteria or common definition. This research studied not only fundamental concept of SIL required to guarantee safety in accordance with international standards for safety related equipment and system, but different types of methodologies for SIL allocation. Specifically, SIL allocation for Platform Screen Door system of railway is studied applying methodology of severity of accidents and risk graph among different methodologies for SIL allocation.

  • 21세기의 고속해상교통수단으로 등장할 초고속화물선의 필요성, 핵시기술, 개발실적, 실용화에 대하여 소개하였다. 더 나아가 해상급유를 고려한 태평양항로용 대형초고속화물선도 여러분야의 고도기술력과 집중적 개발비 그리고 산.학.연.관의 추진체계로 가능할 것이다. 세계물동량의 대부분이 해상수송으로 이루어지고 있어 초고속화물선의 등장으로 21세기에는 door-to-door 서비스의 일관된 물류시스템이 우리 곁에 다가올 것으로 기대해 본다. 아울러 초고속선 기술은 조선산업의 고부가차기화를 통한 국제경쟁력을 강화시키고 우리나라 조선산업의 미래 조선산업에서의 주도적 역할 수행에 기여할 것으로 보인다.

  • The Personal Rapid Transit(PRT) system has been highly interested in future transportation developments due to its on-demand and optimized door-to-door transport capability. However, the major impediments to the commercialization of PRT are the high cost for construction of infrastructures as opposed to the small transport capacity and difficulty in defining the role of PRT in building a balanced transportation system. In this study, the vertical transfer device for the PRT vehicle is developed to provide more flexible and better compatible urban mobility services between means of transportation, which is expected to meet particular demands in a particular environment. This apparatus was initially designed based on the basis of vertical circulating conveyors with steel chains, which is frequently used in logistics. Its advantages are capable of the non-stop loading and reduced head-way time. Most importantly, it was intensified by the additional idea to ensure the stable and reliable transfer of the PRT vehicle fully loaded with passengers. The 1/10-scale prototype was successfully tested to demonstrate a fundamental mechanism of vertical transfer and identify unexpected user requirements prior to a real manufacturing process.

  • 수요감응교통체계는 승객들의 통행요구에 따라 보다 신속하고 효율적으로 안락하고 편리하게 경제적으로 교통서비스를 제공하는 것이다. 특히 기존의 공공교통수단이 미치지 못하는 저밀도 도시 지역의 통행수요를 만족시키는데 좋은 수단으로써 관심의 대상이 되고 있다. 즉 리무진 같은 소형차량을 이용하여 승객의 통행요청에 따라 개인적인 door-to-door 서비스를 제공하는 것이다. 본연구는 수요감응교통체계의 대안으로서 도시 서비스에 있어서 고정.노선변경승객 써비스에 대한 $\ulcorner$스케쥴 알고리즘$\lrcorner$을 개발하는데 목표를 둔바 목적함 수는 Waiting time, Riding time,Scheduled vehicle의 노선용량제한등과 같은 승객써비스 시 간제약에 대해서 각기 개별차량 여행과의 차를 극대화하여 보았다. 사용자중심 Sub-program과 PASS의 두 Sub-program으로 구성된 Simulation 모형을 활용할 경우 어떠 한 도시 써비스지역에서의 고정노선 혹은 변경노선 각각에 대해서 임시적인 차량운행의 감 응식 효율 증진에 크게 기여할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • The initial urban railway was only required to perform its role as means of transportation. As the time of staying in an underground platform was extended, it has been faced with the issues of environmental improvement as a living space. Therefore, the sliding automatic door, which is the basis of the screen door, is used widely for large distribution stores, hospitals, restaurants, and public offices for customers' convenience and as a convenient method to control access. Therefore, screen doors are required for the purpose of customers' convenience, securing safety, establishing pleasant station buildings, and energy savings. It would be also necessary to develop the optimal design technology for a screen door system through the design of element parts and to ensure reliability. Therefore, this paper calculated, interpreted, and verified the theoretical weight of the composition parts to verify the design drive hardness of the motor for screen doors necessary for the safety of subways.

  • As the interest about smooth logistics increases lately, the importance of multimodal transport, which performs the key role of logistics emerges, Through there are many issues respecting multimodal transport, the issue of the efficiency of multimodal transport seems to be the most importance. This paper examine as to the problems & systems of the multimodal transport including transportation document and customs clearance for door to door services. I wish our country will use total logistics automation systems for encouraging multimodal transport chance and make a partial amendment of commercial code including the customs clearance regulation. This study will assist in the development of logistic and the enlargement of multimodal transport transaction.

  • As the Rope Type Platform Safety Door (RPSD) is now commercially available, the technology of RSPD and the public sentiment towards RPSD are being scrutinized. During the period of RPSD development and trial installation, there has been a need to examine its technical reliability and safety, and its users' emotional attitudes. Though often dichotomized in practice, technological innovation of, and the public sentiment towards RPSD are directly related to continuing and collaborated efforts to enhance public satisfaction with the service. Therefore, based on the analyses of public sentiment towards the RPSD system and the log files of operation, this study evaluates public satisfaction with RPSD during its trial phase at Munyang Station in the Daegu Subway System.

Experimental Study on $CO_2$ Level Fluctuation by Door-opening of Subway (전동차 출입문 개폐에 따른 객실 이산화탄소 농도변화의 실험적 연구)

  • Indoor air quality (IAQ) of subway becomes a key issue as the IAQ guidelines for public transportation published. There are two major sources regarding IAQ of subway; One is the sources coming from outdoor air and the other is sources of inside. Particulate matters smaller than 10 micrometer (PM10) and carbon dioxide ($CO_2$) are recognized as the one of the most severe pollutants in Korea. The source of PM10 is mainly coming from outdoor air, however, the source of $CO_2$ is coming from passengers exhaust. According to the guidelines, the level of $CO_2$ should be lower than 2500ppm for normal operating time and lower than 3500ppm for rush hour. In order to satisfy these guidelines, the volume of mechanical ventilation should be increase which consumes extra energy for heating or cooling. Therefore, the optimum volume of mechanical ventilation should be calculated for energy saving. In this study, we measured the natural ventilation rate by door-opening which can reduce the load of mechanical ventilation. The $CO_2$ generator and sensors were used to measure the change of $CO_2$ by periodic door-opening of subway.
