Results and Conclusion 1. Dong-mu's viewpoint of human in ${\ulcorner}Dongyi$ Suse Bowon Sasang $Chobonguon{\lrcorner}$ is viewpoint of human in the base of 'Human Nature(人性)-Human Form(人形)' and viewpoint of human in the base of 'Affairs-Mind-Body-Objects(事心身物)'. 2. The general viewpoint of human suggested in ${\ulcorner}Dongyi$ Suse Bowon Sasang $Chobonguon{\lrcorner}$ is that 'Nature-Emotion(性情)' is a action of mind and 'Knowing-Acting(知行)' is a action of body in human. He emphasized that we should try to become saint through controling 'Nature-Emotion(性情)' and 'Knowing-Acting(知行)' 3. It was thought that The span of lift is different according to the volume of Oi(氣) existed in the smallest organ. Results and Conclusions Most of Herbs for the Soeumin were processed for filling up BoMyungGiJu(保命之主).

『동의수세보원사상초본권(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷)』의 서지학적(書誌學的) 연구(硏究) (A bibliographical research of the 『Dongyi Suse Bowon Sasang ChobonGuen』)

  • 1. 연구목적 : '연변조선족민족의약연구회(延邊朝鮮族民族醫藥硏究會)'에서 1984년에 영인한 "동의수세보원사상초본권(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷)"의 필사본(筆寫本)은 여러 정황과 글의 내용으로 보아 동무(東武) 이제마(李濟馬)의 글로 추정되며 "동의수세보원(東醫壽世保元)"저술 이전의 초기 저작과 같은 글임을 확인할 수 있어 이를 밝히고자 하였다. 이 논고는 문헌의 내용을 언급하기 이전에 반드시 선행이 되어야 할 서지학적(書誌學的)인 고찰과 문헌 연구의 일환이다. 2. 연구방법 : 문헌 제공자인 손영석(孫永錫)의 진술 내용과 문염(文厭)의 내용을 중심으로 "동의수세보원사상초본권(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷)"이 "동의수세보원(東醫壽世保元)" 내용으로 발전 과정과 개념 및 병증약리(病證藥理)의 변화를 문헌적 고찰을 통해 살펴보았다. 또한 동무공의 기타 저술과 비교하여 저술 시기를 추정해 보았다. 3. 연구 결과 및 결론 : 이상의 연구에서 얻은 결론은 아래와 같다. 1) "동의수세보원사상초본권(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷)"은 함흥의 최겸강(崔謙鋼)이 소장하던 것을 김구익(金九翌)이 수초(手抄)하여 1984년 필사본(筆寫本)이 영인(影印)되었고 1985년 10월 연변조선족자치주민족의약연구소(延邊朝鮮族自治州民族醫藥硏究所)에서 발간한 "조의학(朝醫學)" 제1편(第一冊) 사상의학론(四象醫學論)에서 부록으로 '사상의학초본권(四象醫學草本卷)'이라는 제목으로 출판되었다. 2) "동의수세보원사상초본권(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷)"은 그 편제에서 "동의수세보원(東醫壽世保元)"의 내용이 각 편마다 함축되어 있고 권지삼(卷之三)의 태양인약방(太陽人藥方)에서 동무공(東武公) 자신이 태양인(太陽人)임과 태양인(太陽人)의 병증약리(病證藥理)를 성립하게 되는 과정을 서술하고 있어 동무공(束武公)의 저술임을 확인할 수 있다. 3) "권지삼약방(卷之三藥方)"에서 "동의수세보원(東醫壽世保元)" 신정방(新定方)의 기원이 되는 처방을 확인할 수 있으며 대표적으로 "소음약방(少陰藥方)"의 반강탕(半薑湯)은 계지반하생강탕(桂枝半夏生薑湯)으로 "태음약방(太陰藥方)"의 구미천문동탕(九味天門冬湯)은 청심운자탕(淸心運子湯)으로 발전한 것으로 추정된다. 4) "권지삼약방(卷之三藥方)"을 통해 태소음양인(太小陰陽人)의 병증약리(病證藥理)의 성립 과정을 알 수 있으며 소양인(少陽人)의 병증약리(病證藥理)가 비교적 초기에 완성되고 태음인(太陰人) 병증약리(病證藥理)가 완성되고 소음인(少陰人)의 병증약리(病證藥理)는 증치의학(證治醫學)의 처방을 이용하다 비교적 후기에 완성되었음을 확인할 수 있다. 5) "동의수세보원사상초본권(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷)" 권지일(卷之一)의 지(知)와 행(行)에 대한 인식은 "성명론(性命論)"의 사고와는 달리 비교적 정제되지 않은 상태이며 "격치고(格致藁)" "유약(儒略)"과 "반성잠(反誠箴)"의 사고와 유사함을 볼 수 있다. 6) "동의수세보원사상초본권(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷)"의 저술시기는 "동무유고(東武遺稿)" 약성가(藥性歌)나 39세 망음증(亡陰證) 치험례 이후이며 저술로 "격치고(格致藁)" "유약(儒略)" "반성잠(反誠箴)" 저술 전이나 저술 당시로 추정되어 40대 후반과 50대 초반 사이의 저술로 추정된다.

  • ${\ulcorner}$Hamsansachon Dongyi Suse Bowon Gabogubon${\lrcorner}$ , discovered in 2000, can give very precious information in order to study the formation and development process of ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon${\lrcorner}$ ${\ulcorner}$The Dircourse on the Constitutional Symptoms and Disease${\lrcorner}$ . I examined, by comparison, changes in understanding pathology explained in ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon${\lrcorner}$ ${\ulcorner}$The Discourse on the Constitutional Symptoms and Disease${\lrcorner}$ of Gabobon and Sinchukbon, and consequently tried to define the concept of Dispositional Symptom(Dispositional disease) as below, in a point of view that ‘Dispositional Symptom(Dispositional disease)’ should be the key word in explaining the changes in understanding of pathology. Dispositional Symptom(dispositional disease) is a new concept that was first troduced in the Kyongjabon, not found in the Gabobon, and that played a key role in editing ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon${\lrcorner}$ ${\ulcorner}$The Discourse on the Constitutional Symptom and Disease${\lrcorner}$ . Dispositional Symptom(dispositional disease) means an innate temperament or a pathological tendency, which is already constructed in the system of an individual, prior to expression of specific diseases and symptoms, and can be a primary basis to tell the susceptibility and developing pattern of a certain disease, to decide how to treat and forecast the prognosis. Sinchukbon inductively categorized symptoms of the dispositional symptom (dispositional disease) into the concept of ‘Eight principles’, or eight standards of diagnosis, such as superficies-interior, cold-heat, and weakness-strength.

  • Objectives This paper was tried to find out Dongmu Lee Je-ma's concept about the exterior disease and the interior disease. Methods The study was researched as bibliologically with Dongmu Lee Je-ma's writings such as "Dongyi Suse Bowon Sasang Chobongyun", "Dongyi Suse Bowon" written in 1894, "Dongyi Suse Bowon" published in 1901 Results and Conclusion The conclusions were as follows 1. In Dongmu Lee Je-ma's book, There are no clear definition about the concept of the exterior disease and the interior disease. 2. At Dongmu's early works, the exterior disease and the interior disease were classified by the cause and the region of a disease. On the other hand, That wewe reclassified by the characteristic of Constitutional symptoms at "Dongyi Suse Bowon" published in 1901 3. In Dongmu Lee Je-ma's concept, If men is damaged the exterior Qi(表氣), he will be sick 'he exterior disease'. The other hand, If men is damaged the interior Qi(裏氣), he will be sick 'the interior disease'.

사상의학(四象醫學) 약리(藥理)에 관한 문헌적(文獻的) 고찰(考察) (A Study on the Pharmacology of Sasang Constitutional Medicine)

Objects of Research This research is purposed to find Dong-mu's thought on Pharmacology, through summarizing sentences related to pharmacology proposed in the chief writings on Sasang Constitutional Medicine. 2. Methods of Research It was researched bibliologically with Dong-mu's chief medical writings such as "Dongyi Suse Bowon Sasang Chobongyun(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷)", "Dong-mu's posthumos work(東武遺藁)", "Dongyi Suse Bowon(東醫壽世保元)". 3. Results and Conclusions 1. The grouping criteria according to the constitution proposed in "Dongyi Suse Bowon Sasang Chobongyun" is 'Spreading Outside' 'Hardening Inside' 'Cooling Organ' 'Warming Inside', but the grouping of medical herbs according to the constitution is yet not accomplished, and medical herbs is comprehended on base of effectiveness as like existing oriental medicine. 2. The grouping criteria according to the constitution proposed in "Dong-mu's posthumos work"is 'Spreading Choking Raising Lowering' and 'Perfume Smell Fluid Taste', and medical herbs is comprehended on base of effectiveness as like "Chobongyun", and the example on mixing of the herb classified according to the constitution is showed. 3. The medical herbs are comprehended on the basis of how to effect on treatment of constitutional disease, and the principle that it's not to mix of the herb classified according to the constitution is proposed in "Dongyi Suse Bowon". 4. The pharmacology of Sasang Constitutional Medicine is accomplished after it is modified many ti mes through clinic experience for a long time. 5. The pharmacology of Sasang Constitutional Medicine in the early period, is to comprehend herbs on the basis of how to complement 'Spreading Gathering Raising Lowering' of 'Small-Organ(偏小之臟)' according 'Qi-Mei(氣味)' and effectiveness, but that in the late period is to comprehend herbs on the basis of how to complement or to control 'Small-Organ(偏小之臟)' and 'Large Organ(偏大之臟)'.

동의수세보원(東醫壽世保元)의 문헌적(文獻的) 자료(資料)에 근거(根據)한 중풍(中風) 치료(治療)에 대한 고찰(考察) (A Literatual Study on the Treatment of Stroke in The 《Dongyi Suse Bowon》)

  • The purpose of this study was to find the way of treatment and prevention the stroke by Sasang constitutional medical therapy. I came to get some conclusions after considering literatures of ${\ll}$Dongyi Suse Bowon${\gg}$ and the conclusion as follows. 1. In ${\ll}$Dongyi Suse Bowon${\gg}$ the stroke of Soumin is caused by 'Interior cold disease'. When 'Interior Yin' can not descend, the disease arise. In this case Lee Je-ma used 'Sohabhyang-won(蘇合香元)', 'Chulaek-su(鐵液水)'. 2. The stroke of Soyangin is caused by 'Interior heat disease'. When the hot Qi of stomach and spleen is blocked, the disease arise. In this case Lee Je-ma used 'Dokhwal-jihwang-tang(獨活地黃湯)', 'Jihwang-baekho-tang(地黃白虎湯)'. 3. The stroke of Taeumin is caused by 'Dry and heat disease'. When the heat of liver and the dryness of lung is excessive, the disease arise. In this case Lee Je-ma treated with 'Woohwang-chungsim-hwan(牛黃淸心丸)', 'Wonji-sukchangpo-tang(遠志石菖蒲湯)', and 'Kwache-san(瓜帶散)' etc. Above results indicate that not only taking medicine but also filling up the Healthy energy(保命之主) is important to treat stroke.

Objectives There are two kind of ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon${\lrcorner}$ and ${\ulcorner}$ShinchukBon${\lrcorner}$ These books are similar each other, and there are difference from the contents of books. Among them we studied the sentence of Gyemagakban-tang between ${\ulcorner}$GaboBon${\lrcorner}$ and ${\ulcorner}$ShinchukBon${\lrcorner}$ of ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon${\lrcorner}$2. Methods The study is to compare to ${\ulcorner}$GaboBon${\lrcorner}$ and ${\ulcorner}$ShinchukBon${\lrcorner}$ on the basis of texts of ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon${\lrcorner}$. 3. Results 1) We can see that Lee Je-Ma was trying to cure Soeumin by the treatment of ascent and grow up Yang(陽) and Ki(氣) as seen in the text of Gyemagakban-tang. 2) We can see that Lee Je-Ma considers sweating as the symptom of Taeumin and evacuating of stools as the symptom fo Soyangin in the text of ${\ulcorner}$GaboBon${\lrcorner}$ 3) We can see fever in the text of Gyemagakban-tang is the fundamental of the pathology of Soyangin. 4. Conclusions In addition more bliolographic study, clinical investigation will be needed.

The results of this study will help us to understand sasang constitutional medicine. 2. Results and Conclusions 1) There are 13 medicines that have been used and mixed with other constitutional medicines in ${\ulcorner}$DongMuYooGo${\lrcorner}$. 2) There are 3 medicines that have been used and mixed with other constitutional medicines in ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon Sasang ChobonGuen${\lrcorner}$. 3) There are 18 prescriptions that have combined with other constitutional medicines in ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi sasang shinpyun${\lrcorner}$.
