Real-time Tracking and Identification for Multi-Camera Surveillance System

  • This paper presents a solution for personal profiling system based on user-oriented tracking. Here, we introduce a new way to identify and track humans by using two types of cameras: dome and face camera. Dome camera has a wide view angle so that it is suitable for tracking human movement in large area. However, it is difficult to identify a person only by using dome camera because it only sees the target from above. Thus, face camera is employed to obtain facial information for identifying a person. In addition, we also propose a new mechanism to locate human on targeted location by using grid-cell system. These result in a system which has the capability of maintaining human identity and tracking human activity (movement) effectively.

  • 본 연구에서는 불법 주 정차 단속을 위한 번호판 인식용 스피드돔 카메라 개발을 위한 선행 연구로 전체 목표 중 PC와 카메라 모듈간 통신 Board 제작과 소니의 FCB-EX1010 카메라 기능 확인을 위한 PC S/W 구성, VISCA/RS232C Command 확인 및 One Board 작성에 필요한 사전 PC 용 프로그램 구성과 VISCA 통신 Format을 이용한 통신 프로그램을 구성하고 평가하였다. 구성한 통신 보드와 프로그램, 통신 Format은 정상 작동하도록 완성하였으며, 결합한 테스트에서 통신 향후 다양한 주의할 점과 목표를 찾아내었다. 정밀 장거리 스피드 돔 카메라 요구가 많아지고 있는 시점에서 적정한 개발을 위한 선행 연구이었다.

  • 본 연구에서는 액체연료와 고체연료를 추진제로 사용하는 공기흡입식 추진기관의 세라믹 돔포트 커버의 파괴거동을 수행하였다. 파괴 특성은 충격파관을 이용하여 세라믹을 이용한 돔포트 커버 상사모델을 통하여 파괴시험 및 분석되었다. 파괴 거동은 압력센서를 통하여 파괴 압력을 측정하고 초고속 카메라를 이용하여 비산현상을 관찰하였다. 본 연구로부터 얻어진 결과는 공기흡입식 추진기관에서 돔포트커버 설계의 기초 자료로 이용될 수 있을 것이다.

팬.틸트 카메라의 저 진동 마이크로스텝핑 제어기 설계 (Design of a Low-Vibration Micro-Stepping Controller for Pan-Tilt Camera)

  • Speed, accuracy and smoothness are the important properties of pan-tilt camera. In the case of a high ratio zoom lens system, low vibration characteristic is a crucial point in driving pan-tilt mechanism. In this paper, a novel micro-stepping controller with a function of reducing vibration was designed using field programmable gate arrays (FPGA) technology for high zoom ratio pan-tilt camera. The proposed variable reference current (VRC) control scheme reduces vibration decently and optimizing coil current in order to prevent the step motor from occurring missing steps. By employing VRC control scheme, the vibration in low speed could be significantly minimized. The proposed controller can also make very high speed of 378kpps micro-step driving, and increase maximum acceleration in motion profiles.

  • 본 논문에서는 퍼지제어를 이용하여 사람의 얼굴을 추적하는 카메라를 구동하는 시스템을 구현한다. 팬틸트(Pan Tilt)구조를 가진 카메라 시스템은 먼저 영상을 PC로 보내고 PC에서는 추적알고리즘에 의한 추적 좌표를 다시 카메라에 전송하면 카메라는 목표 얼굴을 실시간으로 추적하는 방식으로 되어 있다. 카메라를 구동하는 2축의 스텝모터는 PC에서 전송된 목표 좌표로 최대한 빠르고 또한 부드럽게 제어되어야 한다. 이를 위해서 본 논문에서는 퍼지제어기를 제안하여 구동용 가·감속 주파수를 만들고 두 축의 스텝모터를 빠르면서도 부드럽게 제어한다 그리고 본 제안 방식의 효율성을 검증하기 위하여 실험 장치를 제작하고 실험을 수행한다.

MURO - Mangpo high school Unmanned Robotic Observatory

  • We introduce the characteristics and performance of the 0.25m telescope at Mangpo high school Unmanned Robotic Observatory (MURO) which was established in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeongi-do, KOREA in 2015 January. MURO system included Astrohaven 2.1m non-rotation fiberglass clamshell dome, Paramount MEII mount, Takahashi CCA 0.25m wide field telescope, FLI PL 16803 4K CCD with 7-positions filter wheel system, all sky camera and point grey wide field camera, IR 4 chanel heat sensor camera for security, DAVIS realtime weather cast, and power controled by ARS system. All control softwares are from off-the-shelf products based on Windows 7 OS to be easily operated and maintained. We expect to perform variety of science programs ranging from supernovae follow-up observation to narrow band imaging survey as well as science class activities at Mangpo high school.

  • CQUEAN (Camera for QUasars in EArly uNiverse) is an optical CCD camera system that consists of a science CCD camera, a guide CCD camera, and seven filters. In addition, a focal reducer is installed in front of the science camera to secure a larger field of view for the system. Engineering run of the system was carried out from Aug. 10, 2010 to Aug. 17, 2010, with 2.1m Otto Struve telescope at McDonald Observatory, USA, from which we investigated the characteristics and performance of the system. Bias and dark images were taken under various temperature conditions to examine the system behavior, and both twilight and dome flat images were obtained to investigate the appropriate preprocessing procedures of the data. Crude initial estimate indicated one hour integration would reach limiting magnitude of 24.2 in i-band with S/N ratio of 5, with CQUEAN at 2.1m telescope. The detailed results of the engineering run will be presented.

  • An automated surface-strain measuring system is developed in the present study, which consists of the hardware to capture and to display digital images and the software to calculate the 3-D informations of grid points. The software is implemented using the image processing technique, and includes a program for the camera calibration and the post-processor to display the strain distribution. An LDH(limitting dome height) test specimen is measured its surface-strain as an application of the present system.

  • An automated surface-strain measuring system using the image processing technique is developed in the present study which consists of the hardware to capture and to display digital images. and the software to calculate the 3-D informations of grid points from two views. New or improved algorithms for the mapping and establishing correspondence of grid points and elements the camera calibration and the subpixel measurement of grid points are implemented. As an application of the present system the surface-strains of deformed blanks in the limitting dome height test the square cup deep-drawing and punch stretching to obtain the forming limit diagram are measured. The results are com-pared with those obtained by conventional manual methods.

머신비전을 이용한 나사 머리 성형 펀치의 검사 알고리즘 (Inspection Algorithm for Screw Head Forming Punch Using Based on Machine Vision)

  • This paper proposes a vision-based inspection algorithm for a punch which is used when forming the head of the small screws. To maintain good quality of punch, the precise inspection of its dimension and the depth of the punch head is important. A CCD camera and an illumination dome light are used to measure its dimensions. And a structured line laser is also used to measure the depth of the punch head. Resolution and visible area depend on setup between laser and camera which is determined using CAD-based simulation. The proposed method is successfully evaluated using experiment on #2 punch.
