  • With the evolution of technology, cyber physical systems (CPSs) are being upgraded, and new types of cyber attacks are being discovered accordingly. There are many forms of cyber attack, and all cyber attacks are made to manipulate the target systems. A representative system among cyber physical systems is a cyber physical power system (CPPS), that is, a smart grid. Smart grid is a new type of power system that provides reliable, safe, and efficient energy transmission and distribution. In this paper, specific types of cyber attacks well known as false data injection attacks targeting state estimation and energy distribution of smart grid, and protection strategies for defense of these attacks and dynamic monitoring for detection are described.

  • Purpose: This study's purpose is to explore the relationship between entrepreneurial marketing orientation on new product development performance via marketing and innovation capabilities. Research design, data, and methodology: This research has applied a survey method which involved 159 respondents from food retailers among Michelin Guide Restaurants in Thailand. The literature's existing measurement scales were used to operationalize the constructs proposed in this study. The analyses were conducted using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the hypotheses. Results: The results have shown that new product development performance received positive and direct impacts from entrepreneurial marketing orientation, particularly in three dimensions: customer value orientation, opportunity-driven initiatives, and leveraged resources. Likewise, new product development performance received a positive, indirect impact from opportunity-driven initiatives, risk management, customer value orientation, and innovation that is focused on marketing and innovation capabilities. Conclusions: The results are useful for Thai food retailers as to strategy formulation in order to attract tourists from all over the world to tourist destinations in Thailand. Therefore, this empirical study is extremely important for domestic economic development and the international economy. These findings provide theoretical and managerial contributions for developing competitive strategies which will lead to sustainable business practices, as well as for providing future research directions.

  • Purpose: An omnichannel strategy creates a consistent brand image and customer experience across all channels, making it easier for customers to interact with a business and share information. This research aimed to investigated the relationship between consumers' information-sharing intention and their omnichannel experiences. Research design, data, and methodology: Through an online survey conducted in Vietnam, the study obtained 915 responses. The study used Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze research data and confirm proposed research hypotheses. Results: Research results indicated that information-sharing intention is affected by both online and offline customer experience, and at the same time, the study also confirmed that omnichannel's three characteristics (integration, individualization, interaction) positively impact on customer experience. Conclusions: From the research result, businesses may boost consumer trust and loyalty with the help of an omnichannel approach, which in turn increases customers' propensity to provide personally identifying information to the firm. One way to do this is to facilitate information exchange by delivering customized and relevant offers. Furthermore, companies show consumers the benefit of providing their data by utilizing it to enhance the customer experience.

  • Purpose: This study investigates the moderating effect of mindset types on experience and perceived quality in virtual reality (VR) contexts and identify the relationships among mindset types, experience, perceived quality, attitude, and purchase. Research design, data and methodology: Using a survey, a total of 250 participants were recruited from South Korea. Participants were asked whether they have been VR users who had experienced VR before participating in the survey. We used the partial least squares method to test the hypotheses based on structural equation modeling. Results: The results show that experience, including spatial, reality, and sensory experiences, has positive effects on perceived quality. Additionally, the mindset moderates the relationship between experience and perceived quality such that consumers with experience are more likely to have greater perceived quality when they have a growth mindset compared to those with a fixed mindset. The VR context's perceived quality exerts positive effects on attitude toward the VR context, while attitude has positive effects on purchase intention. Conclusion: We suggest that the consumer's mindset might work as an essential moderating factor that influences the relationship between experience and perceived quality. Our findings can help marketers plan promotion strategies more effectively and cater to the different objectives of their contexts.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze factors affected by the ICT utilization with perspectives of employees (Study 1) and customers (Study 2) that are rarely approached in previous studies. In particular, this study examined how proposed factors on ICT utilization affect employee satisfaction, organization performance, customer satisfaction, and purchasing decision making. Research design, data and methodology: This study conducted an online survey to measure the effects. Cronbach's alpha was applied to test reliability and factor analysis was applied to check validity. Multiple regression analysis and ANOVA were applied to test hypotheses. Results: The results of this study found that the effects of self-development and organizational innovation on employee satisfaction were significant for study 1, while the effects of product satisfaction, promotional offers, and customer communication on purchase decision making were significant for study 2. Conclusions:This study provides managerial and policy implications. At the management level, it is necessary to make specific strategies to improve employee and customer satisfaction and organization performance associated with the utilization of ICT. The results of this study suggest that better policy should be prepared by government to foster utilization of ICT infrastructure and to enhance better relationships with employees and customers.

  • Predicting remaining useful life (RUL) becomes significant to implement prognostics and health management of industrial systems. The relevant studies have contributed to creating RUL prediction models and validating their acceptable performance; however, they are confined to drive reasonable preventive maintenance strategies derived from and connected with such predictive models. This paper proposes a data-driven preventive maintenance method that predicts RUL of industrial systems and determines the optimal replacement time intervals to lead to cost minimization in preventive maintenance. The proposed method comprises: (1) generating RUL prediction models through learning historical process data by using machine learning techniques including random forest and extreme gradient boosting, and (2) applying the system failure time derived from the RUL prediction models to the Weibull distribution-based minimum-repair block replacement model for finding the cost-optimal block replacement time. The paper includes a case study to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method using an open dataset, wherein sensor data are generated and recorded from turbofan engine systems.

  • Purpose: K-beauty products industry trends, estimates and dynamics are examined in this study to discover a potential possibility for growth. There is a thorough examination of the elements that drive and impede the expansion of the K-beauty industry. This study aims to investigate marketing strategy of K beauty product to enhance economic growth in South Korea. Research design, data and methodology: This study used one of the most famous approach for analyzing the current literature which is a PRISMA (Process and Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) method. This method maps out the number of records identified, the included and the excluded ones with the reasons for the exclusion. The technique clearly states the research problem and the appropriate scope. Results: The theoretical findings of prior literature indicates K-beauty companies should retain physical locations despite the trend toward online commerce, in order to guarantee that they meet the demands of different customers and enhance customer experiences to develop trust and loyalty. Conclusions: The findings of this research are of academic importance since they provide light on customer preferences for new K-beauty products. While past research has often ignored certain kinds of influencers, this study emphasized the need of considering influencers and certain product exposure strategies together, which has major academic consequences.
