Process Capability Analysis by the Experiment of Chips (Chips 실험에 의한 공정능력의 해석)

  • Process capability is reflected on four major factors such as materials, equipments. skill of operators, and methods. The status of the process is typically represented by the mean value 〔$\mu$〕as a central tendancy, and the variance 〔$\sigma$$^2$〕 as a magnitude of dispersion. This paper analyzes the process capability by the experiment of chips is accounted on a population from the process. So, this paper analyzes the next four cases : (1) When the process distribution is changed from N[$\mu$$_1$, $\sigma$$^2$〕to N〔$\mu$$_2$, $\sigma$$^2$〕. (2) When the process distribution is changed from N[$\mu$, $\sigma$$_1$$^2$] to N[$\mu$, $\sigma$$_2$$^2$]. (3) When the population is compounded by the different two distributions of N〔$\mu$$_1$, $\sigma$$^2$〕and N〔$\mu$$_2$, $\sigma$$^2$〕. (4) When the population is compounded by the different two distributions of N〔$\mu$, $\sigma$$_1$$^2$〕 and N[$\mu$$\sigma$$_2$$^2$].

  • Purpose - This study investigates the effect of strategic orientation on market performance with emphasis on the mediative role of innovation capability, economic value and relational value in food producer companies. Research design, data, and methodology - In this descriptive study, a population of 244 managers and employees of Food industry companies in Tehran were investigated. The respondents filled a questionnaire on strategic orientation, innovation capability, economic value, relational value and market performance, during January to August 2018. Reliability and validity were evaluated by Cronbach's alpha coefficient and confirmatory factor analysis. To analyze the data, Spearman's correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling were used by SmartPLS software. Results - Effects of competitor's orientation and technology orientation on all three intermediary variables were positive and significant. The effect of customer orientation on innovation and economic value was positive and significant, but the effect of customer orientation on the value of the relationship was insignificant. Furthermore, entrepreneurial orientation has a positive and significant effect on innovation capability. The effects of three mediator variables on market performance are positive and significant. Conclusions - As the relationship between the mediator variables and market performance were positive and significant, companies should have a comprehensive plan of focus on strengthening these variables.

A Study on the Impact of China's Agricultural Poverty Alleviation Labels on Consumer Purchase Intentions in the Context of Live E-commerce

  • Purpose: Thisstudy aimsto explore the mechanism by which poverty alleviation labelsinfluence purchase intentionsin the e-commerce environment, as well as the role of mediating factors within this process. Research Design, Data, and Methodology: The research employs a questionnaire survey method, targeting a sample of 1668 consumers in Anhui Province, China. It focuses on understanding the impact of poverty alleviation labels on e-commerce platforms and the involvement of mediating factors like capability trust, benevolence trust, and honesty trust in this relationship. Results: The results indicate that poverty alleviation labels on e-commerce platforms significantly enhance consumers' purchase intentions. Regression analysis validates the positive impact of poverty alleviation labels on purchase intentions, capability trust, benevolence trust, and honesty trust, revealing the existence of mediating effects. Conclusions: The study provides empirical support for e-commerce poverty alleviation marketing, emphasizing the importance of focusing on and strengthening consumer trust in products. It offers profound insights for both academic research and practical operations in related fields. However, the research is limited to Anhui Province, and future studies could consider expanding the sample size to gain a deeper understanding of regional and cultural variations. Additionally, further research is encouraged to explore the applicability of the findings to other sales channels.

  • Mattress foundations using geogrids are often used on soil foundations to increase the supporting capability of a mattress-soil foundation system, in which the mattress foundation trasmits a point load applied above to a wider area of the soil foundation underneath. To examine this load dispersion capability of the mattress foundation, model experiments were carried out on lab-floor. Expecially, the effect of the thickness of the mattress and the subgrade modulus of the soil foundation on load dispersion are considered. The load distribution and the tensile force generated on geogrid of the upper part of the mattress are examined in the paper.

A Modified Definition on the Process Capability Index Cpk Based on Median

  • This study proposes a modified definition about $C_{pk}$ based on median as the centering parameter in order to more easily control the process since the mean does not represent any quantile of the asymmetric process distribution. Then we consider an estimate and derive the asymptotic normality for the estimate of the modified $C_{pk}$. In addition, we provide an example with asymmetric distributions and discuss the estimation for the limiting variance that are followed by some concluding remarks.

  • In this study, response time index(RTI) of standard and quick response type sprinkler head are measured and compared through ramp and plunge test in heated wind tunnel. Also discharge rate and water distribution, actual delivered density(ADD), fire test with wood cribs are performed to compare the fire suppression capability and the operation time and temperature between standard and quick response type sprinkler head.

Earthquake Energy Response of Actively-controlled Structures (능동제에 구조물의 지진에너지 응답)

  • IN analyzing earthquake response of structures important focus is on their diaplacements and shear forces. However seismic technology of passive energy dissipation makes focus on the seismic energy distribution of structures. The passive dampers enhance the capability of energy dissipation by their hysteretic behavior thus preventing the structural plastic deformation. In this paper the building structure with an active controller is analyzed with the view of earthquake energy distribution under elastic and plastic behaviors. The active control makes an effect of increasing damping capability which absorbs most of the earthquake input energy. Finally the different active gains resulting from the plastic deformation are applied to the active analysis and control forces and earthquake energy response are compared.

  • A new UPQC(unified power quality conditioner), which consists of series inverter, shunt inverter, dc/dc converter, and energy storage, is proposed. The proposing UPQC can compensate reactive power, harmonics, voltage sag and swell, voltage unbalance, and voltage interruption. The control strategy for the proposing UPWQC was derived using the instantaneous power method. The performance of proposing system was analyzed by means of the EMTDC/PSCAD simulation and the experimental work with the hardware prototype. The proposing UPQC has the ultimate capability of improving power quality at the point of installation on power distribution systems or industrial power systems and can be utilized for the custom power device in the future distribution system.

  • There are several models for process quality assurance by quality system (ISO 9000), process capability analysis, acceptance control chart and so on. When a high level process capability has been achieved, it takes a long time to monitor the process shift, so it is sometimes necessary to develop a quicker monitoring system. To achieve a quicker quality assurance model for high-reliability process, this paper presents a model for process quality assurance when the fraction nonconforming is very small. We design an acceptance control chart based on variable quality characteristic and time-censored accelerated testing. The distribution of the characteristics is assumed to be normal or lognormal with a location parameter of the distribution that is a linear function of a stress. The design parameters are sample size, control limits and sample proportions allocated to low stress. These paramaters are obtained under minimization of the relative variance of the MLE of location parameter subject to APL and RPL constraints.
