  • In cloud environment, enterprises use a number of systems which are not interconnected and save master information in a distributed way in each of them. Master information which is not managed is incorrect and discord each other so that lowers efficiency of business process and disables optimum decision making. It is necessary to do high-qualified management of master information to operate efficient and errorless business process. This paper suggests TMDM as a solution to solve heterogeneous problems occurred between interconnected master information in cloud environment and to manage business process in an efficient method. TMDM is an information storage that is suggested to solve mutual discord problems between master information using Topic Maps that considers correlation between data. Topic Maps can be connected by association between topics in order to access through a topic to all related knowledge information which is described by the topic. This also can be applied to master information between legacy systems within cloud.

  • FRUC(Frame Rate Up Conversion) is core techniques for higher quality terminals or low channel rate. For these applications, in this paper, we propose a block-based reliability evaluation method for FRUC techniques using bi-lateral symmetrical motion estimation. First, in order to measure the reliability, by introducing cost evaluation tools such as motion vector consistency as well as temporal matching and spatial matching characteristics and then by combining these tools, we propose an efficient method which arrange the blocks according to distortion size. Through several simulations, it is shown that the proposed method is very effective in finding the high distortion blocks. Furthermore, it is expected that the proposed method can be effectively utilized in FRUC techniques and Distributed Video Coding technologies.

  • Surface modifications are commonly utilized to adjust the properties of the titanium and its alloy surface to the specific needs of the medical applications, but there are disadvantages such as poor osteoconductive properties and low adhesion of bone cell to implant surface. In order to improve these disadvantages, changes in surface properties have an important effect on osseointegration during implantation. In this paper we applied new technological method for improving a unique surface modification using the characteristic of an electrolytic Solution. Thus, in the electrolyte containing NaF in Na2SO4, TiO2 nanoporous was uniformly formed, and HAp nanoparticles were electrodeposited around the TiO2 nanopores, but in the electrolyte containing NH4F in (NH4)H2PO4, the coarse protrusions including HAp nano particles were regularly deposited onto the TiO2 barrier layer. The surface characteristics and the distributed elements and have been investigated by EDS analysis, and ultra-fine structure of surface are carried out using FE-SEM. To investigate the behavior of the anion, the analysis of chemical states was performed by XPS, and the narrow spectrums for Ti2P, Ca 2p, and P 2p seems to be almost similar depending on the characteristics of the electrolyte solution respectively. In addition, Ca 2p spectrum could be resolved into two peaks for Ca 2p3/2 and 2p1/2 at 347.4 and 351.3 eV, which are related to hydroxyapatite. And, the P peak can also be deconvoluted into two peaks for P1/2 and P3/2 levels with binding energy 134.2 and 133.4 eV, respectively. From the result of soaking test, the apatite morphologys were well-formed onto the modified surface according to the different conditions.

  • With the recent advance of Web and its associated technologies, information sharing on distribute computing environments has gained a great amount of attention from many researchers in many application areas, such as medicine, engineering, and business. One basic requirement of distributed medical consultation systems is that geographically dispersed, disparate participants are allowed to exchange information readily with each other. Such software also needs to be supported on a broad range of computer platforms to increase the software's accessibility. In this paper, the development of world-wide-web based medical consultation system or radiology imaging is addressed to provide the platform independence and great accessibility. The system supports sharing of 3-dimensional objects. We use VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language), which is the de-facto standard in 3-D modeling on the Web. 3-D objects are reconstructed from CT or MRI volume data using a VRML format, which can be viewed and manipulated easily in Web-browsers with a VRML plug-in. A Marching cubes method is used in the transformation of scanned volume data set to polygonal surfaces of VRML. A decimation algorithm is adopted to reduce the number of meshes in the resulting VRML file. 3-D volume data are often very large-sized, and hence loading the data on PC level computers requires a significant reduction of the size of the data, while minimizing the loss of the original shape information. This is also important to decrease network delays. A prototype system has been implemented (http://netopia.snu.ac.kr/-cyber/). and several sessions of experiments are carried out.

  • By the ion bombardment the original discrete layered structure is damaged and a uniformly mixed layer is formed by the intermixing of the films. Immediately after this dynamic cascade mixing a structure of this mixed layer is likely to be a mixture of randomly distributed atoms. Subsequently the mixed layered structure becomes a non-equilibrium structure such as the metastable pphase because the kinetic energies of the incident ions rappidly dissippate and host atoms within the collision cascade region are quenched from a highly energetic state. The formation of the metastable transition metal alloys using ion-beam-mixing has been extensively studied for many years because of their sppecific ppropperties that differ from those of bulk materials. in ion-beam-mixing the alloy or comppound is formed due to the atomic interaction between different sppecies during ion bombardment. in this study the metastable pphase formed by ion-beam-mixing pprocess is comppared with equilibrium one by arc-melting method by GXRD and XAS. Therfore we studied the fundamental characteristics of charge redistribution uppon alloying and formation of intermetallic comppounds. The multi-layer films were depposited on a wet-oxidized Si(100) substrate by sequential electron beam evapporation at a ppressure of less than 5$\times$10-7 Torr during depposition. These compprise 4 ppairs of Co and ppt layers where thicknesses of each layer were varied in order to change the alloy compposition.

  • FGB(Flexible Glasswool Backing) Submerged Arc Welding has been one of the main welding processes for one side butt welding in shipbuilding industries, which can efficiently improve the welding productivity by the addition of a supplementary filler metal into the molten weld pool. As recent ships have become larger in size, the application of high tensile and higher grade of steels has been continuously increased. Single pass FGB SA welding process accompanies such a high heat input when welding thick plates that the mechanical properties of weld metal can be dramatically degraded. This study has been performed in order to obtain high toughness and tensile properties of high heat input FGB SA welds, and to evaluate the effect of alloy elements on their mechanical properties. To complete welding 25mm-thick EH36 grade steel plate by single pass, 1.2mm diameter and 1.0mm long cut wires has been distributed in the groove before welding, and three different test coupons have been made using C-1.5%Mn, C-1.8%Mn-0.5%Mo, and C-1.4%Mn-1.7%Ni cut wires to investigate the influence of nickel(Ni) and molybdenum(Mo) on the mechanical properties of welds. Test results showed that the addition of Ni and Mo effectively promotes the formation of Acicular Ferrite(AF), while significantly reducing the amount of Grain Boundary Ferrite(GBF) in weld metal microstructures, which resulted in a beneficial effect on low temperature impact toughness and strength.

  • Lineament density maps can be used for the quantitative evaluation of relationship between lineaments and groundwater occurrence. There are several kinds of lineament density maps including lineament length density, lineament cross-points density, and lineament counts density maps. This paper reports the usefulness of the representative elementary area (REA) concept for lineament analysis. This concept refers to the area size of the unit circle to calculate the lineament density factors distributed within the circle: length, counts and cross-points counts. The circle is a unit circle that calculates the sum of the lineament length, lineament counts and the number of cross-points within it. The REA is needed to obtain the best representative lineament density map prior to the analysis of relation between lineaments and groundwater well yield or other groundwater characteristics. A basic lineament map for the Yongsangang-Seomjingang watershed of Korea, drawn from aerial black-and-white photographs of 1/20, 000 scale was used for demonstrating the concept. From this study, the conclusions were as follows: (1) the REA concept can be efficiently applied to the lineament density analysis and mapping, (2) for whole Yongsangang-Seomjingang watershed which has 6, 502 lineaments with an average lineament length of 3.3 km, the lower limits of each REA used for drawing the three density maps were about 1.77 $\textrm{km}^2$ (r=750 m) for lineament length density, 7.07 $\textrm{km}^2$ (r=1, 500 m) for lineament counts density, and 4.91 $\textrm{km}^2$ (r=1, 250 m) for lineament cross-points density, respectively, (3) the lineament densities are inversely proportional to the size of REA, and the REA can be calculated with this inversely linear regression model, (4) if the average lineament density values for the whole study area are known, the most accurate density maps can be drawn using the REAs obtained from each linear regression model, and (5) but critical attention should be paid to draw lineament counts density and lineament cross-points density maps because.

  • Optical disk drive device is improved in rotating speed for faster data reading. In the case of CD-ROM, rotating speed is over 10000 rpm in the practical use. As a result of high rotating speed, unexpected effects as like increasing disk fluctuation and acoustic noise are raised by the air friction on the rotating disk and the eccentricity of rotating parts. The overall acoustic noise of running CD-ROM could be classified into two different characterized noise. The first is the structural-borne noise which is generated from vibrating solid body. By the reason, the signal of structural borne noise has very similar to the signal of surface vibrating one. It has dense noise energy at specific frequency region. The other is the air-borne noise which is generated from turbulence or vortex caused by friction between disk and air. The signal of air-borne noise has no dominant peak point at acoustic pressure-frequency domain. The noise energy is widely distributed while comparatively high and large frequency region. The structural-borne noise could be reduced by reducing vibration of structure and in addition it's target reducing frequency is narrow. However the air-borne noise reduction is effectively needed of enclosing method for the noise source located near the disk surface because it is difficult to define target frequency point. In this study, the acoustic noise at driving CD-ROM is classified by the sides of it's character and tried to reduce the overall acoustic noise.

  • Wetland is an important eco-system on the earth and can effectively control agricultural non-point source pollution. Reed is a typical wetland plant for land/inland water ecotone in north China. The studies indicated that reed had a underground rooted-stem, which formed a 'high speeded-connecting vessels' i.e. reed root channel (RRC) in Baiyangdian lake of Hebei province. It spread predominantly along horizontal direction underground and are mainly distributed at 18-75 cm. The results of field work from healthy reed-wetland (HRW) and regarded reed-wetland (RRW) showed that the reed, averagely, in HRW is 4.2 m height, 1 cm diameter, 65/m2 density; in RRW is 2.4 m height, 3 mm diameter, 86/m2 density. These results indicated the regradation of the function of RRC in RRW. The results of laboratory work of sewage purification from reed soil column (RSC) $(0\~100cm)$ and wheat soil column (WSC) showed that the efficiency of purification to sewage, in RSC, is high than in WSC, especially for phosphorus. The efficiency of purification, in RSC, is $92.6\%$ for total phosphorus, $43.5\%$ for total nitrogen, $54.1\%$ fur COD, respectively; in WSC, is $86.0\%$ for total phosphorus, $241.3\%$ for total nitrogen, $29.8\%$ for COD, respectively.
