In this paper, we propose a group distributed dynamic address assignment scheme suitable for tactical mobile ad hoc networks(MANET). Efficient address assignment is an important issue in the MANET because a node may frequently leave the current network and join another network owing to the mobility of the node. The conventional schemes do not consider the features of the tactical networks: existence of a leader node and network activity on a group basis. Thus, they may not be suitable for military operations. In our proposed scheme, called grouped units dynamic address assignment protocol(G-DAAP), a leader node maintains the address information for the members in the network and any of the nodes can exploit the information for the assignment or request of the IP address by a simple message exchange procedure. This leads to fast address assignment with small overheads. In addition, G-DAAP based on the modified IEEE 802.11e Enhanced Distributed Channel Access(EDCA) can assign addresses more quickly. We describe the delay performance of the G-DAAP and compare it with conventional schemes by numerical analysis and computer simulations. The results show that the G-DAAP significantly improves the delay performance as compared with the conventional schemes.

It is well known that the current wireless sensor networks addressing methods do not work efficiently in networks more than a few hundred nodes. A standard protocol in ZigBee-Standard feature in ZigBee 2007 gives balanced tree based address assignment method with distributed manner. However, it was limited to cover less than hundreds of sensor nodes due to the wasteful use of available address space, because composed sensor networks usually make an unbalanced tree topology in the real deployment. In this paper, we proposed the hierarchical cluster tree based address assignment method to support large and scalable networks. This method provides unique address for each node with distributed manner and supports hierarchical cluster tree on-demand. Simulation results show that the proposed method reduces orphan nodes due to the address exhaustion and supports larger network with limited address space compared with the ZigBee distributed address assignment method defined in ZigBee-Standard feature in ZigBee 2007.

This paper proposes a distributed borrowing addressing (DIBA) scheme to solve problems of failure in address assignments resulting from limited tree depth and width when the distributed address assignment mechanism is used in a ZigBee/IEEE 802.15.4 wireless sensor network. DIBA is a method of borrowing addresses from neighbor nodes for newly entering nodes and assigning the borrowed addresses. Its network or sensing coverage can increase with almost the same overhead as the existing method. DIBA is a simple and lightweight means of addressing and routing, making it suitable for wireless sensor networks. Simulations showed that DIBA is a distributed addressing scheme with consistently excellent performance.
This paper proposes hybrid distributed stochastic addressing (HDSA), which combines the advantages of distributed addressing and stochastic addressing, to solve the problems encountered when constructing a network in a ZigBee-based wireless sensor network. HDSA can assign all the addresses for ZigBee beyond the limit of addresses assigned by the existing distributed address assignment mechanism. Thus, it can make the network scalable and can also utilize the advantages of tree routing. The simulation results reveal that HDSA has better addressing performance than distributed addressing and better routing performance than other on-demand routing methods.
In an IP-based network, automated dynamic assignment of IP addresses is preferable. In most wired networks, a node relies on a centralized server by using dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) to obtain a dynamic IP address. However, the DHCPbased approach cannot be employed in a mobile ad hoc network (MANET) due to the uncertainty of any centralized DHCP server. That is, a MANET may become partitioned due to host mobility. Therefore, there is no guarantee to access a DHCP server. A general approach to address this issue is to allow a mobile host to pick a tentative address randomly, and then use duplicate address resolution (DAR) protocol to resolve any duplicate addresses. In this paper, an innovative distributed dynamic host configuration protocol designed to configure nodes in MANET is presented. The proposed protocol not only can detect the duplicate address, but also can resolve the problem caused by duplicate address. It shows that the proposed protocol works correctly and is more universal than earlier approaches. An enhanced version of DAR scheme is also proposed in this paper to solve the situation of duplicate MAC address. The new and innovative approach proposed in this paper can make the nodes in MANET provide services to other networks and avoid packets from being delivered to incorrect destinations.

When ZigBee network supports beacon transmission mechanism, ZigBee devices have the restriction of the transmission range from the coordinator. On the contrary, when it does not support beacon transmission, it is not easy to save the energy through turning into sleep mode. This paper proposes active slot allocation method that allocates a transmission time and does not use the beacon transmission mechanism. It is based on the ZigBee's distributed address assignment mechanism and supports the scalability. This paper explains the active slot structure and the allocation order and describes the operation of ZigBee devices. We verify the proposed mechanism through the simulation and show the performance evaluation. It can be useful on the industrial automation and the environmental surveillance.
The WBAN technology means a short distance wireless network which provides each device interactive communication by connecting devices inside and outside of body. Standardization on the physical layer, data link layer, network layer and application layer is in progress by IEEE 802.15.6 TG BAN. Wireless body area network is usually configured in energy efficient using sensor and zigbee device due to the power limitation and the characteristics of human body. Wireless sensor network consist of sensor field and sink node. Sensor field are composed a lot of sensor node and sink node collect sensing data. Wireless sensor network has capacity of the self constitution by protocol where placed in large area without fixed position. In this paper, we proposed the efficient addressing scheme for improving the performance of routing algorithm by using ZigBee in WBAN environment. A distributed address allocation scheme used an existing algorithm that has wasted in address space. Therefore proposing x, y and z coordinate axes from divided address space of 16 bit to solve this problems. Each node was reduced not only bitwise but also multi hop using the coordinate axes while routing than Cskip algorithm. I compared the performance between the standard and the proposed mechanism through the numerical analysis. Simulation verified performance about decrease averaging multi hop count that compare proposing algorithm and another. The numerical analysis results show that proposed algorithm reduced the multi hop better than ZigBee distributed address assignment

Smart Grid is the next-generation intelligent power grid that maximizes energy efficiency with the convergence of IT technologies and the existing power grid. Smart Grid is created solution for standardization and interoperability. Smart Grid industry enables consumers to check power rates in real time for active power consumption. It also enables suppliers to measure their expected power generation load, which stabilizes the operation of the power system. Smart industy was ecolved actively cause Wireless communication is being considered for AMI system and wireless communication using ZigBee sensor has been applied in various industly. Many statistical methods have been adapted for terminology recognition to improve its accuracy. However, since previous studies have been carried out in a single core or a single machine, they have difficulties in real-time analysing explosively increasing documents. In this study, the task where bottlenecks occur in the process of terminology recognition is classified into linguistic processing in the process of 'candidate terminology extraction' and collection of statistical information in the process of 'terminology weight assignment'. A terminology recognition system is implemented and experimented to address each task by means of the distributed parallel processing-based MapReduce. The experiments were performed in two ways; the first experiment result revealed that distributed parallel processing by means of 12 nodes improves processing speed by 11.27 times as compared to the case of using a single machine and the second experiment was carried out on 1) default environment, 2) multiple reducers, 3) combiner, and 4) the combination of 2)and 3), and the use of 3) showed the best performance. Our terminology recognition system contributes to speed up knowledge extraction of large scale science and technology documents.
