핵연료 피복관 부식생성물 부착에 대한 용존수소의 영향 (Effect of Dissolved Hydrogen on Fuel Crud Deposition)

  • The purpose of this work is to investigate the effect of dissolved hydrogen concentration on crud deposition onto the fuel cladding surface in the simulated primary environments of a pressurized water reactor. Crud deposition tests were conducted in the dissolved hydrogen concentration range of 5~70 cc/kg at $325^{\circ}C$ for 14 days. Needle-shaped NiO deposits were formed in the hydrogen range of 5~25 cc/kg, while polygonal nickel ferrite deposits were observed at a hydrogen concentration above 35 cc/kg. However, the dissolved hydrogen content seems to have little effect on the amount of crud deposits.

  • The electrochemical behavior of dissolved hydrogen (H2) was investigated at a Pt electrode in a high temperature LiOH-H3BO3 solution. The diffusion current of the H2 oxidation was proportional to the concentration of the dissolved H2 as well as the reciprocal of the temperature. In the polarization curve, a potential region in which the oxidation current decreases despite an increase in the applied potential between the H2 oxidation and the water oxidation regions was observed. This potential region was interpreted as being caused by the formation of a Pt oxide layer. Using the properties of the Cl- ion that reduces the growth rate of the Pt oxide layer, it was confirmed that there is a correlation between the Cl- ion concentration and the transient current of the H2 oxidation.

  • In the present work, a new hydrogen added argon heat treatment process that prevents the formation of hydrides and eliminates the dehydrogenation step, is developed. Dissolved hydrogen has a good effect on sintering properties such as oxidation resistance and density of greens. This process can also reduce costs and processing time. In the experiment, commercially available Ti-6Al-4V powders are used. The powders are annealed using tube furnace in an argon atmosphere at $700^{\circ}C$ and $900^{\circ}C$ for 120 min. Hydrogen was injected temporarily during argon annealing to dissolve hydrogen, and a dehydrogenation process was performed simultaneously under an argon-only atmosphere. Without hydride formation, hydrogen was dissolved in the Ti-6Al-4V powder by X-ray diffraction and gas analysis. Hydrogen is first solubilized on the beta phase and expanded the beta phases' cell volume. TGA analysis was carried out to evaluate the oxidation resistance, and it is confirmed that hydrogen-dissolved Ti-6Al-4V powders improves oxidation resistance more than raw materials.

온도의 영향에 따른 니켈페라이트의 입자 크기 분포 연구 (A Study on Effect of Temperature on Particle Size Distribution of Nickel Ferrite)

  • PWR 정지화학 조건에서 모사실험하여 니켈페라이트 입자의 거동을 조사하였다. 농도가 Li 0.1 ppm, B 2000 ppm인 모사실험 용액의 온도는 $300^{\circ}C$에서 $0.625^{\circ}C/min$의 비율로 $150^{\circ}C$까지 감소시킨 후 일정 시간 동안 $150^{\circ}C$를 유지하였고 이때의 압력은 2500psi 이하로 유지하였다. 수소 농도 5, 15, 25 cc/kg $H_2O$ 일 때 온라인으로 입자 분포를 측정하였고 용해된 니켈 농도도 분석하였다. 실험결과 온도 감소 시 세 가지 수소 농도일 때 모두 총입자 수는 큰 변화가 없었다. 그러나 온도가 감소하고 일정하게 유지될 때 입자는 작아졌다. 입자 크기 분포 변화의 정도는 $H_2$ 15cc/kg $H_2O$ 일 때가 가장 크게 나타났다. 니켈 이온의 농도는 온도가 감소하고 수소 15 cc/kg $H_2O$ 일 때 증가하였다. 이 결과 니켈 페라이트는 온도 변화 시, 수소 15 cc/kg $H_2O$ 일 때 불안정 한 것으로 보여 진다.

Microscopic characterization of pretransition oxide formed on Zr-Nb-Sn alloy under various Zn and dissolved hydrogen concentrations

  • Microstructure of oxide formed on Zr-Nb-Sn tube sample was intensively examined by scanning transmission electron microscopy after exposure to simulated primary water chemistry conditions of various concentrations of Zn (0 or 30 ppb) and dissolved hydrogen ($H_2$) (30 or 50 cc/kg) for various durations without applying desirable heat flux. Microstructural analysis indicated that there was no noticeable change in the microstructure of the oxide corresponding to water chemistry changes within the test duration of 100 days (pretransition stage) and no significant difference in the overall thickness of the oxide layer. Equiaxed grains with nano-size pores along the grain boundaries and microcracks were dominant near the water/oxide interface, regardless of water chemistry conditions. As the metal/oxide interface was approached, the number of pores tended to decrease. However, there was no significant effect of $H_2$ concentration between 30 cc/kg and 50 cc/kg on the corrosion of the oxide after free immersion in water at $360^{\circ}C$. The adsorption of Zn on the cladding surface was observed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and detected as ZnO on the outer oxide surface. From the perspective of $OH^-$ ion diffusion and porosity formation, the absence of noticeable effects was discussed further.

대하, Fenneropenaeus chinensis 치하의 생존 및 성장에 미치는 빈산소, 암모니아 및 황화수소의 영향 (Effects of the Different Level of Dissolved Oxygen, Ammonia and Hydrogen Sulfide on Survival and Growth of juvenile, Fenneropenaeus chinensis)

  • 대하, Fenneropenenaeus chinensis 치하를 대상으로 빈산소, 암모니아 및 황화수소에 대한 장기생존 및 성장에 미치는 영향을 24일간 조사하였다. 2.5 mg/L이하의 용존산소에 노출된 대하 치하는 유의한 성장감소를 나타내었으며 , 3.0 mg/L이하의 농도 에서 일간성장률 및 사료효율이 대조구와 비교하여 유의한 감소를 나타내었다. 암모니아 농도별 노출에 따른 대하의 생존율을 조사한 결과 2.0 mg/L이상의 농도구에서 대조구와 비교하여 생존 감소를 나타내었고, 1.0 mg/L이상 및 0.5 mg/L이상의 암모니아 농도에 노출된 대하 치하는 대조구에 비해 각각 일간성장율 및 사료효율에 영향을 주는 것으로 조사되었다. 또한, 24일간 황화수소에 대한 대하의 생존율은 노출농도와 노출기간이 증가할수록 생존율이 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 이러한 경향은 대하 치하의 성장에도 영향을 나타내어 일간성장율과 사료효율이 0.07 mg/L 및 0.05 mg/L 이상의 농도에서 각각 대조구에 비해 유의한 감소가 나타났다.

꽃게, Portunus trituberculatus의 생존, 섭이활동 및 대사률에 미치는 빈산소와 황화수소의 복합적 영향 (Combined Effects of Hypoxia and Hydrogen Sulfide on Survival, Feeding Activity and Metabolic Rate of Blue crab, Portunus trituberculatus)

  • 일본 뢰호내해 빈산소수괴의 형성에 따른 황화수소의 발생이 꽃게, Portunus trituberulatus의 자원량이 미치는 영향을 간접적으로 파악하기 위하여 이들의 생존, 섭이활동 및 대사률에 미치는 빈산소와 황화수소의 복합적 영향에 관한 실험을 하였다. 빈산소조건에서 꽃게의 생존, 섭이활동 및 대사률은 용존산소가 각각 2.14, 1.41, 및 3.35mg/l에서 유의한 저하가 인정되었다. 또한 복합 조건하에서 꽃게의 생존율은 용존산소 1.86mg/l이하에서 황화수소농도 $(12.35 {\mu}g/l)$, 섭이활동은 용존산소 1.86mg/l이하와 황화수소농도 $(12.35 {\mu}g/l)$, 대사률은 용존산소 2.97mg/l이하와 $(13.12 {\mu}g/l)$의 황화수소농도에서 유의한 저하를 나타내었다. 아울러 용존산소 1.86mg/1이하와 황화수소농도 $(12.35 {\mu}g/l)$의 복합 조건하에서는 빈산소조건하에 비해 그들의 생존과 섭이활동율이 한층더 감소하였다. 꽃게의 서식지인 뢰호내해의 각 해역에서는 하기의 용존산소량과 황화수소가 각각 2.0mg/l이하, $15{\mu}g/l)$이 상이 보고되고 있어 이곳에 서식하는 꽃게의 자윈량의 감소가 예상된다.

  • Ultraviolet rays, OH H O radical and $O_3$ produced by the streamer discharge in water are widely used to deactivate microorganisms and remove organic contaminants in water and the dominant factor of these decomposition is the oxidized reaction of hydrogen peroxide and dissolved $O_3$ in water. In this paper, the barrier discharge was used to create plasma in a gas, liquid and solid medium and the electrode with the reactor combined barrier with packed type(BPR) was made as noncontact way against water so that the effect of water characteristic change by the erosion of electrodes exposing in water should be minimized. The active radical and $O_3$ gas generated in plasma region were reacted into the water as electrode so that at the same time a dissolved $O_3$ and hydrogen peroxide were formed in water and The change of pH and conductivity were measured.

  • Environmental fatigue of the metallic components in light water reactors has been the subject of extensive research and regulatory interest in Korea and abroad. Especially, it was one of the key domestic issues for the license renewal of operating reactors and licensing of advanced reactors during the early 2000s. To deal with the environmental fatigue issue domestically, a systematic test program has been initiated and is still underway. The materials tested were SA508 Gr.1a low alloy steels, 316LN stainless steels, cast stainless steels, and an Alloy 690 and 52M weld. Through tests and subsequent analysis, the mechanisms of reduced low cycle fatigue life have been investigated for those alloys. In addition, the effects of temperature, dissolved oxygen level, and dissolved hydrogen level on low cycle fatigue behaviors have been investigated. In this paper, the test results and key analysis results are briefly summarized. Finally, an on-going test program for hot-bending of 347 stainless steel is introduced.

  • The hydrogen attack characteristics of 3Cr-1Mo-V steel as simulated weld heat affected state were studied in this paper. The hydrogen attack susceptibility was evaluated by the ratios of Charpy impact absorbed energy at 0℃($vE_{0HA}$/$vE_{0}$) and reduction of area by tensile test ($RA_{HA}$/RA) before and after exposure to hydrogen at 600℃ under 450kgf/㎠ for 300hr. The values of $vE_{0HA}$/$vE_{0}$ and $RA_{HA}$/RA were aggravated as the peak temperature of the simulated heat affected zone(HAZ) raised. These results were due to the increase of the possession of bubbles along the grain boundaries, which were resulted in the reduction of grain boundary area to be precipitated carbides due to grain coarsening and the carbon dissolved in the martensite-austenite constituent near by the prior austenite grain boundary. The possession ratio of methane bubbles formed along prior austenite grain boundaries were increased with raising the peak temperature. (Received February 22, 2000)
