5.8GHz 마이크로파 무선전력전송을 위한 수신기 모듈 설계 및 구현 (Design and Fabrication of a Receiver Module for 5.8GHz Microwave Wireless Power Transmission)

  • In this paper, we have designed and fabricated a receiver module for 5.8GHz Microwave Wireless Power Transmission. The receiver module was composed of an antenna, BPF (Band Pass Filter) and RF-DC converter. The antenna was designed to RHCP (Right Hand Circular Polarization). And we used ${\lambda}g/2$ open-circuited stubs for the BPF. In addition, the RF-DC converter used the tripler voltage circuit for voltage multipliers. The integrated receiver RF module for 5.8GHz Microwave Wireless Power Transmission has been designed and fabricated. The voltage was measured to the distance of 50cm.

A Novel Module Control Technology for High-Power LED Backlight

  • In large-area LCD displays, we have developed two new control technologies for high-power LED backlight. The Novel control technology called scanning control and local gray control. In addition, a conceptual display system power management was developed. We have implemented high power-LED module driving system which can achieve power saving and cost down. Finally, we designed LED light-bar module of the side type as a backlight source. It not only achieved light & thin but also reduced the quantity of LEDs.

식물 성장용 LED조명 모듈 및 제어 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of LED Lighting Module and Control System for Plant Growth)

  • LED lighting is used as artificial lighting for plant growth because it has high light efficiency and can radiate light of various wavelengths. In this paper, we have developed new structure LED lighting module to improve the performance of LED lighting for plant growth and proposed a lighting control system that can be controlled wirelessly. The proposed LED lighting module was fabricated using optical lens applied to tunnel light and simulated using Relux program. Results of simulation, we confirmed that the light distribution and average illuminance of the proposed lighting were improved. LED lighting control system was developed to wirelessly control R, G, B, W LED lighting according to plant type and growing season. Therefore, it is expected to provide the optimal lighting environment for plant growth and contribute to the improvement of farm productivity and convenience.

  • In this paper, we have designed and fabricated a RF-DC voltage multiplier for 5.8GHz microwave wireless power transmission. In order to obtain higher voltage, the RF-DC voltage multiplier with 10 diodes (D-10) and the receiver module with an antenna and BPF (Band Pass Filter) was manufactured. The measured and compared results show that the voltages of the proposed one are lower than those of the previous tripler module up to 40cm. However, the voltage of the proposed one with the voltage multiplier is higher than that of the tripler module at the distances of 45cm and 50cm due to the voltage multiplier with 10 diodes.

  • In this paper, we have designed a solar photovoltaic system to attach solar photovoltaic modules to each module and develop the best efficiency in each module. The efficiency of the designed solar panel optimizer was more than 99.27% and MPPT efficiency of 99.66%. In addition, the monitoring of power generation and abnormal operation phenomenon in each optimum period and tracking for failure location of specific photovoltaic module have improved the utilization rate of photovoltaic power generation. Wired and wireless communication methods has been proposed to monitor the power generation and operation status of the solar panel optimizer. For this purpose, the RS485 communication was used for wire communication and Zigbee communication was used for wireless communication to monitor the status of each module in real time. It is shown that communication redundancy can be achieved through the proposed method, and the possibility of commercialization is suggested.

  • Accurate current-voltage modeling of solar cell systems plays an important role in power prediction. Solar cells have nonlinear characteristics that are sensitive to environmental conditions such as temperature and irradiance. In this paper, the output characteristics of photovoltaic module are accurately predicted by combining the artificial neural network and physical model. In order to estimate the performance of PV module under varying environments, the artificial neural network model is trained with randomly generated temperature and irradiance data. With the use of proposed model, the current-voltage and power-voltage characteristics under real environments can be predicted with high accuracy.

  • 최근 많은 분야에서 사용피고 있는 소형 전광판을 이용하여 원거리에서도 메시지 전달이 가능한 광고용 전광판을 제작하였다. FSK Modem과 RF-Module을 이용하여 실시간으로 광고의 내용을 바꾸는 것을 원칙으로 구현하였다.

  • This paper describes the realization of the full-color to the degree of nearest white light by compounding high brightness Red, Green and Blue LEDs with appropriate proportional index. Once these three colors; red, green and blue are mixed, they are genearlly additive mixing and produce white light color contrasted to negative mixing. The luminous efficiency is defined as the product of the efficiency(lm/w), which indicates the degree of perceptual response by the human eye to unit energy(W) of light emitted by an active display devises and as the conversion efficiency of the device from electric power consumed to optical energy produced. We will deduce the each number of LEDs theoretically and design several shapes of LED displays for the full-color. Finally theoretical predictions will be compared with the measured data with different type of display designs.

  • Recently, Depending on expectancy effect and ripple effect of augmented reality, the convergence between augmented reality and culture & arts are being actively conducted. This paper proposes a learning method for effective object tracking in 3D storytelling augmented reality in cultural properties. The proposed system is based on marker-less tracking, and there are four modules that are recognition, tracking, detecting and learning module. Recognition module is composed of SURF and LSH, and then this module generates standard object information. Tracking module tracks an object using object tracking based on reliability. This information is stored in Learning module along with learned time information. Detecting module finds out the object based on having the best possible knowledge available among the learned objects information, when the system fails to track. Also, it proposes a method for robustly implementing a 3D storytelling augmented reality in cultural properties in the future.
