Recently, digital door locks have been widely used as physical security devices for the door. Although they are convenient compared to the existing lock system, they have the problem of being opened by an electric shock. In this study, to improve safety, a method to hide the door-lock device inside and to display the door-lock on a user's smart-phone screen through the augmented reality is suggested. Furthermore, an additional function has been added which provides memo notes to facilitate communication among family members. The results of this study have been implemented by using motors to control locks, Wi-Fi shield, Arduino, and a virtually created door and showed desirable experimental results.

Organic light emitting diode(OLED) is one of the most promising type of future flat panel display. A linear source is used to deposite organic vapor to a large size OLED substrate. An electric heater which is attached on the side of linear source heats the organic powder for the sublimation. The nozzle of heater, which is attached at the top of the linear source has an optimal temperature. An numerical analysis has been performed to find optimal heater position for the optimal nozzle temperature. A commercial CFD program, FLUENT, is used on the analysis. Two-dimensional and three-dimensional analysis have been performed. The analysis showed that the heater should be attached at the outer side of crucible wall rather than inner side of housing, which was original design. Eighteen milimeter from the top of the linear source was suggested as the optimal position of heater. Improving thermal performance of linear source not only helps the uniformity of organic vapor deposition on the substrate but also increase productibity of vapor deposition process.

Gas turbine engine simulation in terms of transient, steady state performance and operational characteristics is complex work at the various engineering functions of aero engine manufacturers. Especially, efficiency of control system design and development in terms of cost, development period and technical relevance implies controlling diverse simulation and identification activities. The previous engine simulation has been accomplished within a limited analysis area such as fan, compressor, combustor, turbine, controller, etc. and this has resulted in improper engine performance and control characteristics because of limited interaction between analysis areas. In this paper, we propose a new simulation methodology for gas turbine engine performance analysis as well as its digital controller to solve difficulties as mentioned above. The novel method has particularities of (ⅰ) resulting in the integrated control simulation using almost every component/module analysis, (ⅱ) providing automated math model generation process of engine itself, various engine subsystems and control compensators/regulators, (ⅲ) presenting total sophisticated output results and easy understandable graphic display for a final user. We call this simulation system GT3GS (Gas Turbine 3D Graphic Simulator). GT3GS was built on both software and hardware technology for total simulation capable of high calculation flexibility as well as interface with real engine controller. All components in the simulator were implemented using COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) modules. In addition, described here includes GT3GS main features and future works for better gas turbine engine simulation.
Subjective mental workload assessment technique becomes a standard human factors and human-machine interface evaluation tool for the evaluation of ITS(Intelligent Transport Systems)-oriented information systems as well as the drivers visual activity analysis, physiological indices(GSR, EEG, ECG, etc.), secondary task performance, reaction time. vehicle control parameters(speed, steering behavior, accelerator control) that are widely applied for transportation and vehicle systems to evaluate the safety, to decide the system or design alternatives, and to establish the design guidelines. This paper reviewed and compared the most globally employed four mental workload assessment techniques that have been designed for the use of various human-machine systems and ITS-oriented in-vehicle information systems. NASA-TLX(National Aeronautics and Space Administration-Task Load Index). SWAT(Subjective Workload Assessment Technique), MCH(Modified Cooper-Harper) scale, and recently developed RNASA-TLX(Revision of NASA-TH) were compared in terms of sensitivity and subjective evaluations to derive the human-machine interface evaluation guidelines for the application of ITS-oriented in-vehicle information systems. Then, experiment results supported that RNASA-TLX is the prospective tool for the mental workload assessment of ITS-oriented in-vehicle information systems.
Objective: The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of treadmill training with real optic flow scene on functional recovery of balance and balance self-efficacy in stroke patients. Design: Single blind, Randomized controlled trial. Methods: Nine patients following stroke were divided randomly into the treadmill with optic flow group (n=3), treadmill with virtual reality group (n=3), and control group (n=3). Subjects in the treadmill with optic flow group wore a head-mounted display in order to receive a speed modulated real optic flow scene during treadmill training for 30 minutes, while those in the treadmill with virtual reality group and control group received treadmill training with virtual reality and regular therapy for the same amount of time, five times per week for a period of three weeks. Timed up and go test (TUG) and activities-specific balance confidence scale (ABC scale) were evaluated before and after the intervention. Results: TUG in the treadmill training with optic flow group showed significantly greater improvement, compared with the treadmill training with virtual reality group and control group (p<0.05). Significantly greater improvement in the ABC scale was observed in the treadmill training with optic flow group and the tread mill training with virtual reality group, compared with the control group (p<0.05). Conclusions: Findings of this study demonstrate that treadmill training with real optic flow scene can be helpful in improving balance and balance self-efficacy of patients with chronic stroke and may be used as a practical adjunct to routine rehabilitation therapy.
EAP, which is operated on the frame of Risk Alarm 4-stage of National Risk Management Guideline, is a critical method in order to promptly respond to disasters. Korea Flood Control Office issues major and moderate flood alarm at each river station by respectively 50% and 70% of design flood discharge in terms of watermark or sea level, however, the criteria deciding major and moderate floods are vague for field managers to control the disaster situations. On the other hand, Japan and USA use river water level as a main criterion in order to classify the stage of flood disaster, which is higher design flood level than Korea. Thus, the authors analyzed domestic and oversea EAP guidelines and suggested improved criteria showing easy display method and raising the criteria of flood level for reflecting more effective action plans through testing a simulation training on the test-bed.
A blazed $GxL^{TM}$ device is described as having high optical efficiency (> 70% for RGB lasers), and high contrast ratio (> 10,000:1), and that is highly reliable when used in a large-area laser projection system. It has a robust design and precise stress control technology to maintain a uniform shape (bow and tilt) of more than 6,000 ribbons, a $0.25-{\mu}m$ CMOS compatible fabrication processing and planarization techniques to reduce fluctuation of the ribbons, and a reliable Al-Cu reflective film that provided protection against a high-power laser. No degradation in characteristics of the GxL device is observed after operating a 5,000- lumen projector for 2,000 hours and conducting 2,000 temperature cycling tests at $-20^{\circ}C$ and $+80^{\circ}C$. At the 2005 World Exposition in Aichi, Japan the world's largest laser projection screen with a size of 2005 inches (10 m ${\times}$ 50 m) and 6 million pixels (1,080 ${\times}$ 5,760) was demonstrated.
Glucose detection is particularly important for clinical diagnosis and personal prevention and control. Herein, the smartphone-based amperometric glucose sensors were constructed using the NiS/CuS nanorods (NRs) as sensing electrodes. The NiS/CuS NRs were prepared through a facile hydrothermal process accompanied by the subsequent vulcanization treatment. The morphological and structural properties of NiS/CuS NRs were characterized with SEM, EDS, XRD, and XPS. Electrochemical measurements including cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy display that NiS/CuS NRs can act as highly efficient electrocatalyst for glucose detection. The NiS/CuS NRs electrodes present a wide detection range of 1-8000 µM for glucose sensing with the sensitivity of 956.38 µA·mM-1·cm-2. The detection limit was 0.35 µM (S/N=3). When employed in smartphone-based glucose sensing device, they also display a high sensitivity of 738.09 µA·mM-1·cm-2 and low detection limit of 1.67 µM. Moreover, the smartphone-based glucose sensing device also presents favorable feasibility in determination of glucose in serum samples with the recoveries ranging between 99.5 and 105.8%. The results may provide a promising viewpoint to design other new portable glucose sensors.

In the worldwide, The issue comes up which is the danger of car accidents from climate-change effects. We are considering about various types of speed limit signs for setting restricts to high-speed vehicles. South Korea has 4 seasons in the land. At Summer or Winter seasons have heavy rains and fogs or snow, In these seasons need to enforce speed limit laws or methods to prevent car collision. But South korea is using stationary speed limiters that is not enough to proof against rear-end car accidents in these climates. In this paper shows the necessity of independent LED speed limits display to reduce car accidents. And explaining the prototype model which is a combination of rain sensor and wiper systems. This model is independently changed the speed limits to 50%, 80%, 100% of standards by raindrops and snowflake. Also it is freely setting speed limits on each places anywhere it settled in. Visual effects of the model as being speed-down of vehicles helps to prevent rear-ending car accidents and traffic beforehand.
Die-to-wafer (D2W) hybrid bonding in the multilayer semiconductor manufacturing process is one of wafer direct bonding, and various studies are being conducted around the world. A noteworthy point in the current die-to-wafer process is that a lot of voids occur on the bonding surface of the die during bonding. In this study, as a suggested method for removing voids generated during the D2W hybrid bonding process, a flexible mechanism for implementing convex for die bonding to be applied to the bond head is proposed. In addition, modeling of flexible mechanisms, analysis/design/control/evaluation of static/dynamics properties are performed. The proposed system was controlled by capacitive sensor (lion precision, CPL 290), piezo actuator (P-888,91), and dSpace. This flexure mechanism implemented a working range of 200 ㎛, resolution(3σ) of 7.276nm, Inposition(3σ) of 3.503nm, settling time(2%) of 500.133ms by applying a reverse bridge type mechanism and leaf spring guide, and at the same time realized a maximum step difference of 6 ㎛ between die edge and center. The results of this study are applied to the D2W hybrid bonding process and are expected to bring about an effect of increasing semiconductor yield through void removal. In addition, it is expected that it can be utilized as a system that meets the convex variable amount required for each device by adjusting the elongation amount of the piezo actuator coupled to the flexible mechanism in a precise unit.
