  • This paper considers a discrete-time buffer system with session-based arrivals, an infinite storage capacity and one unreliable output line. There are multiple different types of sessions and the output line is governed by a finite state Markov chain. Based on a generating functions approach, we obtain an exact expression for the mean buffer content.

  • The purpose of this paper is to construct several parametric duality models and prove appropriate duality results under various generalized (${\theta},{\eta},{\rho}$)-V-invexity assumptions for a discrete minmax fractional programming problem involving arbitrary norms.

  • In this paper, we develop discontinuous Galerkin methods with penalty terms, namaly symmetric interior penalty Galerkin methods to solve nonlinear parabolic equations. By introducing an appropriate projection of u onto finite element spaces, we prove the optimal convergence of the fully discrete discontinuous Galerkin approximations in ${\ell}^2(L^2)$ normed space.

  • In this paper we introduce a discrete model of brucellosis happened in Korean livestock farms and numerically analyze its dynamical features. To do it, we consider parameters data supported by Livestock Cooperatives. To control brucellosis, we investigate the relationship among key parameters, as applications of our model. We hope that our model may be used to reduce brucellosis in Korean livestock farms.

  • Bounds for discrete Chebychev functionals that involve means of sequences of different lengths are investigated in the current article. Earlier bounds for the Chebychev functional involving sums of sequences of the same lengths are utilised in the current development. Weighted generalised Chebychev functionals are also examined.

  • Let A ∈ B(X) be a spectral operator on a non-archimedean Banach space over an algebraically closed field. In this note, we give a necessary and sufficient condition on the resolvent of A so that the discrete semigroup consisting of powers of A is uniformly-bounded.

  • In this paper we consider the discrete time delayed renewal risk model. We investigate what will happen when the distribution function of the discounted proper deficit is asymptotic in the initial surplus. In doing this we establish several lemmas regarding some related ruin quantities in the discrete time delayed renewal risk model, which are of significance on their own right.

  • This paper considers discrete-time two-class Ge $o^{X/}$G/1 queues with preemptive repeat priority. Service times of messages of each priority class are i.i.d. according to a general discrete distribution function that may differ between two classes. Completion times are derived for the preemptive repeat identical and different priority disciplines. By using the completion time, the stability condition for our system is investigated.d.
