When replacing hardware due to obsolescence, discontinuation, and expansion of software-equipped electronic equipment, software changes are required in the past, but if virtualization technology is applied, it can be applied without software changes. In this regard, we studied in order to apply virtualization technology in the development of naval multi-function radar signal processing, we studied hardware and OS independency for Docker and performance comparison between Docker and virtual machine. As a result, it was confirmed that hardware and OS independence exist when using Docker and that high-speed processing is possible compared to the virtual machine.

Dynamic characteristics of CD/DVD deck fur vehicle are analyzed in this paper. Generally CD/DVD deck for vehicle is used from inferior environment with the vibration of the vehicle, shock of outside and so on. Therefore it must have the structure which is stabilized from the vibration to prevent read error. For this purpose, vibration characteristic of the deck for vehicle should be identified. To analyze characteristic of the deck system, we perform the signal analysis and modal testing using the EFT analyzer. Also we change the design factor degrading the performance of the deck system and verify the efficiency improvement using the acceleration measurement occurring to the sound discontinuation.

Buerger's disease is a nonatherosclerogic occlusive inflammatory disease of medium and small arteries, and veins, of unknown cause. It occurs predominantly in young males who are habitual tabacco users. These patients often complain of painful ulcerations of their digits. The care of this disease is very difficult when the treatment is delayed. Consequently, early treatments are most important to patients with Buerger's disease. This disease can be treated with sympathetic block such as stellate ganglion block for upper extremities and lumbar epidural block, and lumbar sympathetic block for lower extremities. Intravascular regional sympathetic block can be another method of treatment. However, discontinuation of smoking is the most basic and essential treatment for Buerger's disease. We treated 43 Buerger's disease patients with stellate ganglion block and laser therapy. The treatment was not effective for three patients who definitely required amputation.

A 67 year old male with postherpetic neuralgia complained of right anterior chest throbbing pain and also allodynia. We performed thoracic epidural block with 0.25% bupivacaine and 1% lidocaine. Oral carbamazepine and imipramine were also administred concomitantly. One month later, patient complained of fatigue, anorexia, pruritis, jaundice, and dark urine. Liver function test values were significantly elevated then. Therefore we removed the epidural catheter and ceased all medication. Liver function test values decreased rapidly after discontinuation of medication. Hepatitis might have developed as result of drugs administered and could have been prevented if the patient had been monitored with regular clinical laboratory follow up. The purpose of this case report is emphasize the importance of early regular laboratory test to detect any possible side effect that may occur by administration of drugs during treatment of chronic pain.

The purpose of this study was to find out the correlation between the spirit of the times and the characteristics of each eras fashionable silhouette and clothing in Gothic and Modern Period. Theoretical studies about the spirit of times, and the characteristics of clothing about each times were preceded. The results were as follows: The similarities of spirit of times were 1) emphasis on reason and rationality 2) centralization by christianity in Gothic Period, and modernism theory in Modern Period 3) times of the nobility and the churchman in Gothic, and elite class in Modern era. The similarities of characteristics of clothing were 1) preference of slim body form as the ideal body figure, 2) emphasis on convenience and function for freedom in action, 3) discontinuation of traditional way of clothing attitude, 4) emphasis on straight and simple on the silhouette and design, 5) tendency of eliminating ornaments on clothing.

Renal transplant recipients who received immunosuporessive agent are in high risk of development Kaposi's sarcoma. In Korea a few report of Kaposi's sarcoma has been pubilshed but any report of intrathoracic Kaposi's sarcoma provedn by open lung biopsy has not been pulbilshed until now. We report a case of intrathoracic Kaposi's sarcoma developed in a 25 year old Korean man, who had been operated renal transplantation due to end stage renal disease and received cyclosporine and prednisolone as immunosuppessive agent, without any other organ involvment and was proven by open lung biopsy. Although discontinuation of immunosuppressive agent, temporary symptomatic and radilolgic improvement were observed, he died 11 days later after open lung biopsy because of intractable resiratory failure.

A 6 months old, 20.5 kg female Golden Retriever dog was presented with bilateral exophthalmos and no protrusion of the third eyelid. Based on the patient's history, clinical signs, physical examination and ophthalmologic examination, extraocular myositis (EOM) was diagnosed. The exophthalmos was reduced after 7 days and disappeared after 14 days of corticosteroids treatment. Discontinuation of corticosteroids treatment can lead to recurrence of EOM, but in this case there was no recurrence for 2 months. This is the first reported case of canine extraocular myositis in Korea.

Benzodiazepine (BDZ) has the possibilities of development of tolerance, withdrawal symptoms, and abuse/addiction, as well as chronically adverse effects. Although many guidelines have proposed the restricted prescription of them, their uses in many psychiatric areas as well as primary practice are still wide spread. So we tried to reappraise the clinical characteristics of BDZ and then to consider the appropriate use. Firstly, meta-analyses on long-term use of BDZ indicated the cognitive impairment, which could be improved after discontinuation of BDZ. Next, there have been some evidences that the long-term use of BDZ does not develop tolerance, contrary to our concern, and maintains good anxiolytic effects. Also, physiological dependence should be discriminated from abuse/addiction, assuming the reality that the risk of BDZ abuse/addiction is surely overestimated. These issues are discussed in detail.

Stream servers are for supplying multimedia stream data to users through the internet such as movies and music without discontinuation. A typical stream server is designed roughly by considering the characteristics of stream services and by employing processors, memory, PCI bus, Ethernet, TOE and disks. This study focuses on deciding the priority for using resources such as PCI bus, buffer memory and TOE buffer, which have limited capacities in a typical stream server. When the priorities for using limited resources are not given properly, the stream servers may not even function as originally designed. The simulation study shows that the top priority for using PCI bus for normal streaming services should be given to the operation that sends data from buffer memory to TOE buffer. Giving priority for using PCI bus to other operation such as sending data from disks to memory results in a deadlock phenomenon.

Crohn's disease is a chronic inflammatory disease that involves the upper and lower gastrointestinal tracts, including the oral cavity. For the conventional treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases, steroids are usually used as induction therapy, and azathioprine is used as maintenance therapy. Steroids are associated with various side effects. Under rare circumstances, they can even cause psychotic symptoms, and reports on steroid-induced psychosis in the pediatric population are few. Here, we report the first case of steroid-induced psychosis in a 16-year-old female with Crohn's disease administered with steroids as induction therapy in South Korea. She showed psychotic symptoms, including auditory hallucination, loosening of association, and idea of reference, after 2 weeks of administering prednisolone 60 mg/day. One week after steroid discontinuation, the patient gradually recovered and was treated with quetiapine. Therefore, pediatricians should be aware of serious psychiatric adverse effects when administering corticosteroids for various indications.
