  • In order to development of diagnosis system for mold transformer, partial discharge measurement technique is recommended the best effective method for the evaluation of insulation condition. However, this technique was not applied to mold transformer yet. The purpose of this paper is to describe the method of partial discharge measurement for mold transformer. As we reviewed on-line test technique, sensor, transducer of pulse signal processing, set-up of test circuit for loading back device and now testing.

  • 축소형 가스발생기를 제작하여 연소시험을 성공적으로 수행하였으며 분사기의 형상 변화에 따른 유량계수의 영향을 파악하였다. 연소시험 결과 산화제 분사기의 유량계수는 이전 결과보다 향상되었지만 저압 및 설계압 시험조건에서 저주파 섭동이 발생하였다.

제어유의 문류품분효전에 미치는 형력의 영향 (A Study on the Effect of Pressure upon A.C Partial Discharge in Insulating Oil)

  • Noticing that action of gaseous phase in insulating oil concerns to the discharging characteristics, I investigated the smalness pressure effects on quantity of the partial discharge and discharging pulse frequency. Tests are carried out between the niddle points in insulating oil at pressure being changed by gradual charge of inert gas Ar. At pressure as low as of 0.1-0.5 torr pulse frequency and maximum partial discharge reach peak while at pressure haigher than 20 torr no pulse is observed. The fact that pulse frequency has peak value at certain presure, which is changed either by charging Ar or by adding oil, implies that the action of gaseous phase depends on pressure. Test results are that partial discharge pulse are governed by pressure of Ar-charged oil, and less partial discharge pulses correspond to smaller bubbles whereas more partial descharge pulses correspond to larger bubbles.

  • This paper proposes a new secondary battery charger/discharger available for zero voltage discharge which is used for test equipments and formation process. The proposed system is a switching type converter, and thus the system is high efficiency and more compact as compared with linear type charger/discharger. Conventional switching type charger/discharger can not discharge secondary batteries to zero voltage because of voltage drops in the switching elements and long distributing line(typically 10m). However, the proposed system is able to discharge the battery to zero voltage in constant current mode regardless of the voltage drops. In this paper, we analyze the proposed charger/discharger and the validity of the system is verified by simulation and experiment.

  • A purpose of this paper is to recognize partial discharge pattern for cable insulation. The classification of PD sources was widely studied for two decades. this research sought to use the partial discharge detection method, and to diagnose the interface of cable, which is deemed vulnerable of cable systems. A research abalyzed faults that can occur in the interface of cable joint as well as accident mechanisms, manufactured test 22.9kV CNC cable, invented artificial faults and carried out partial discharge detection experiments. As a result, various PD pattern along defect measured and distinguished.

  • This paper describes a diagnosis of transformer by ultrasonic signal due to partial discharge. The ultrasonic signal can be measured when partial discharge is generated in a real transformer. The trend of partial discharge in transformer was estimated by counting the number of ultrasonic signals until insulation paper in the point-to-plane electrode is destroyed. The number of ultrasonic signals is closely related to the number of the electrical signals by partial discharge. The trend of the ultrasonic signal number could easily be distinguished by taking moving average.

  • In hydro-generator, a groundwall insulation of stator windings gradually deteriorates due to mechanical, thermal, electrical and environmental stresses. These stresses combine to result in loose windings, delamination of the stator insulation and/or electrical tracking of the endwinding, all of which can lead to stator insulation failures. Conventionally, off-line tests such as partial discharge measurement, DC/AC current and .DELTA.tan.delta. tests has been used for estimation of winding condition. However, off-line test requires large power supply and generator outage. In addition, major cause of insulation problems such as loose wedges and slot dischages may not be found with off-line diagnoses. This paper introduces the on-line partial discharge measurement techniques using frequency spectrum analyzer(FSA) for the generator stator windings. The experimental results from the UIAM #1 hydro-generator confirms a optimistic application of on-line generator diagnosis method as a reliable tool for evaluation of winding condition.

  • Mica, which have a good thermal and electrical characteristics, while will cleave easily at these layers. In order to bond mica materials soldily, mica/epoxy composite insulation materials were developed for generator stator winding. There are lots of problems such as delamination and partial discharge of these insulation materials caused by mechanical, electrical and thermal aging. Several experiments have been conducted in order to find the useful diagnostic parameters from the partial discharge phenomena by applying a new measurement techniques. this paper deals with the partial discharge pulse characteristics, which may be a useful diagnostic concept in predicting insulation condition of generator stator insulation materials. Long term insulation aging test shows that partial discharge phase angle an magnitude are identified as one of the main key techniques for insulation diagnosis on generator stator winding.

소형실험태양(小型實驗太陽)연못에서 열저장층(熱貯藏層)의 두께에 관(關)한 실험적(實驗的) 연구(硏究) (Experimental Study on Thicknesss of Heat Storage Zone in Small Solar Pond)

  • This paper dealed with thickness variation of bottom heat sotrage zone due to salinity and flow rate of extration hot brine in small test solar pond (0.5m wide, 0.5m high, 1.0m long). Testing apparatus and situation were follows: 7.1 cm of height of suction diffuser and 1.8cm of height of discharge diffuser above the test pond respectively, 0.3cm of slot size of suction diffuser, 1.0cm of slot size of discharge diffuser, 47cm of length of the slot; heating of hot water ($75^{\circ}C$) through separated hot water tank, discharge of the brine into storage zone through discharge diffuser, the extration of the brine through suction diffuser, circulation of the extracted brine through a heat exchanger (cooler). Following results were obtained through the experiments. 1. In small test solar pond, the typical three zone which showed up in real solar pond were established. 2. Richardson Number was used more effectively to confirm hydrodynamic stability of the stratified flow. 3. The thickness of non convective layer had a great effect on the heat storage of the bottom convective layer, then the temperature of bottom convective layer had a relation to that of upper convective layer. 4. Optimum operating condition in the test pond was on 10%-15% of salt concentration and $0.05m^3/hr$ of flow rate of extraction hot brine. 5. Following thickness of 3 zones were available to obtain under optimum operation condition: o bottom storage zone: $30%{\pm}10%$ of total pond depth o non-convective zone: $40%{\pm}10%$ of total pond depth o Upper surface zone: $20%{\pm}10%$ of total pond depth.

  • 인공연직배수재는 일반적인 샌드드래인에 비하여 비용 절감, 지반 교란의 최소화, 시공성 및, 시공 중에 발생될 수 있는 배수재의 변형을 최소화하는 유연성을 지니고 있다. 본 연구에서는 실내실험을 통하여 측압과 동수경사에 따른 여러형태 PVD의 통수능을 도출하였다. 시험결과는 압밀된 점토에 대한 과압력이 증가하였으며, 또한 PVD 공시체의 측압도 증가하였다. 이는 측압이 증가함에 따라 통수능이 감소됨을 나타내고 있으며, PVD 코어의 공극크기는 통수능과 비례관계에 있음을 보여준다. 현장조건을 고려하여 시뮬레이션을 통한 침하량에 대한 수치해석을 수행한 결과 현장계측한 침하량과 유사하게 나타났다.
