비선형 계획법을 이용한 상수도 관망설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Pipe Network System Design Using Non-Linear programming)

  • 본 연구에서는 설계기준에 합당한 제약조건을 고려하여 최저경비의 관망시스템을 설계함을 목적으로 비선형계획법(NLP)을 적용하였다. 경기도 고양군의 고양배수지를 급수원으로 하는 배수유역에 실제 적용하여 기존의 설계와 비교한 결과 기존 수리모의모형에서 사용되고 있는 반복계산 과정이 필요없이 설계가 가능함을 알 수 있었고, 설계의 최적화를 도모하는 동시에 수요절점에서의 유량 및 수압조건을 만족시킬 수 있었다. 이상의 결과와 같이, 본 연구에서의 비선형계획법(NLP)을 이용한 상수도 관망설계가 실무에서도 효과적으로 사용될 수 있음을 알 수 있었고 최적화 설계로 인하여 경제적 측면까지도 고려할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

SWMM을 이용한 조만강 유역 강우-오염물 유출모델링시스템 구축 (Establishment of Rainfall and Contaminants Runoff Modeling System for the Joman River Watershed Using SWMM)

  • The purpose of the present study is to analyze pollutant runoff characteristics from non-point sources in Joman River basin. The present study contains analyzed results of rainfall and SS, BOD, COD, TN, TP runoff from Joman River basin. This study contains a sensitivity analysis of parameters that affect the simulation results of rainfall and pollutants runoff. Result of the sensitivity analysis shows that proportion of watershed and impervious areas is the most sensitive to peak discharge and total flowrate for rainfall runoff and that WASHPO is the most sensitive parameter for pollutants runoff. For parameter estimation and verification, flowrate and water quality is measured at the Kangdong Bridge in Haeban stream. A single rainfall event is use to perform parameter estimation and verification. Results of the present study show that total pollutant loads of Joman River basin is 11,600 ton of SS, 452 ton of BOD, 1,084 ton of COD, 515 ton of TN, and 49 ton of TP, respectively. In addition, it is found that contribution ratio of non point source and total source is 89% of SS, 63% of BOD, 61% of COD, 21% of TN, and 32% of TP, respectively.

Superficial Keratectomy in a Standing Horse with Advanced Corneolimbal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

  • A 12-year-old gelding Warmblood Horse was presented with a corneolimbal mass in the right eye (OD) of 6 months duration. Clinical signs included ocular discomfort, persistent mucoid ocular discharge, and conjunctival hyperemia. The mass was excised by superficial keratectomy under sedation in a standing position, followed by a topical application of 0.04% mitomycin C (MMC), and a placement of a conjunctival advancement graft. The histopathological diagnosis was squamous cell carcinoma. One month after surgery, recurrence of the mass was suspected upon examination of the eye. Topical MMC and 5-fluorouracil followed by cryotherapy were applied as adjunctive therapies after debulking of the mass. The surgical site healed without complications and with a cosmetically acceptable result. No recurrence of the mass was noted four years following the second procedure.

SWAT 모형을 이용한 영양물질 모의 및 유달율 추정에의 적용 (The Simulation of Nutrients using SWAT Model and its Application to Estimate Delivery Ratio)

  • The estimation of delivery ratio is a essential part of Korean Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDL) procedure which needs a number of observed stream flow and pollutants data. If observed data were not sufficient, researchers have to find other alternatives. One of them is to make indirect data by using watershed models, such as Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) and Hydrological Simulation Program - FORTRAN (HSPF) and so on. In this study, indirect daily data was made by using SWAT model. To build the Byongseong-SWAT model accurately, crop cultures are reflected by handling the MGT.file in SWAT model. Especially, mass of manure and schedule of crop culture are inputted through investigating domestic research papers as well as fieldwork. After calibrating SWAT model in comparison with the 22-years flow and pollutants observed outlet data, the delivery ratio of Byongseong watershed is calculated by using daily simulated data during 2004-2007. Empirical equations for delivery ratio through multi-regression analysis are developed by using meteorological and physical factors such as flow, watershed area, stream length, catchment slope, curve number (CN) and subbasin's pollutant discharge loads.

Takayasu 질환에서 신성 고혈압을 동반한 복부 대동맥 협착 수술 치험 - 1례 보고 - (Takayasu`s Disease Associated with Abdominal Coarctation and Renovascular Hypertension - Report of one case -)

  • Takayasu’s disease produces the occlusive and aneurysmal lesions of major branches of the aorta. Angiography is the most important diagnostic procedure in Takayasu’s disease. Surgical treatment is often justified to avoid the possible lethal consequences of hypertension on the heart, kidney, and brain, as well as in the case of aneurysm because of its risk of rupture. We experienced one case of the Takayasu’s disease associated with abdominal coarctation and renovascular hypertension. The patient was 17 years old female and had suffered from hypertension for 14 months. On physical examination, BP was 150/100 mmHg in the right arm and 120/80 mmHg in the left arm. The pulses of the left brachial and femoral arteries were weakly palpable. Aortogram showed the stenosis of the left common and subclavian arteries, coarctation of the abdominal aorta, and stenosis of the right renal artery and complete occlusion of the left renal artery. The stenosis of the right renal artery and the occlusion of the left renal artery produced the renovascular hypertension. She underwent aorta-aortic bypass for the coarctation of the abdominal aorta and aorta-renal bypass for treatment of renovascular hypertension Postoperatively, both femoral pulses were equally palpable. On discharge, antihypertensive drugs were discontinued. She has remained normotensive for last one year.

측두하악관절 수술 후 관절 운동프로그램이 기능회복에 미치는 영향 (Effect of a Therapeutic Exercise Program on the Functional Recovery Following Temporomandibular Joint Surgery)

  • The purposes of this study were to assess the effect of therapeutic exercise and to offer an approach to the physical therapy and rehabilitation procedure of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) following surgery. In this research, 42 patients with TMJ surgery were assigned one of two groups. The experimental group included 21 patients who performed therapeutic exercise, and the control group included 21 patients who did not perform therapeutic exercise. Conservative therapy such as an ice pack, a hot pack, and pulsed ultrasound was applied to both groups. Treatment was applied twice a day during the admission period and, after discharge, everyday for six weeks. Visual analogue scale (VAS), incisal biting force, and joint ROM were measured before surgery and at 30 days after surgery. The results were as follows: VAS (p<0.05), mouth opening (p<0.01), lateral excursion to unaffected side (p<0.05), and protrusion (p<0.05) between experimental group and control group showed statistically significant differences. Incisal biting force and lateral excursion to affected side between experimental group and control group showed no statistically significant difference.

Acute Ischemic Stroke: Current Management and Role of the Nurse Practitioner

  • Purpose: This paper reviews current diagnostic evaluation, treatment, nursing considerations, and the nurse practitioner’s (NP) role in acute ischemic stroke care. Methods: National guidelines and extensive literature on acute stroke care were reviewed and a relevant clinical case was introduced. Results: Computerized tomography (CT) of the head without contrast is the initial brain imaging procedure for patients with an acute stroke. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can be an alternative test. Restoration of cerebral perfusion to the affected area is a key therapeutic strategy for ischemic stroke. A number of treatment strategies such as thrombolysis, anticoagulation, antiplatelet, and surgical treatment can be selected to improve blood flow to the ischemic region. The NP on the stroke team is involved with immediate stroke management including neurological assessment, ensuring adequate oxygenation, blood pressure management, activity, and diet. Discharge planning with the patient, family teaching and coordination of follow up care should also be implemented early in the hospitalization. Conclusion: The nurse practitioner is one of the cardinal members on the stroke team, and must be updated with current treatment and management guidelines.

동수역학모형의 매개변수 산정 (Evaluation of Parameters in Hydrodynamic Model)

  • 일반적으로 동수역학 모형은 마찰인자(조도계수 또는 Chezy계수)와 와점성계수를 필요로 하고 수치계산에서 이들 계수의 갑은 통상 가정 또는 반복계산을 통하여 결정된다. 수치모형에서 와점성계수는 물리적인 확산뿐만 아니라 수치점성의 효과도 가지고 있어서 수치계산의 안정성에 영향을 미치므로 이들 계수의 일관된 결정방법이 필요하다. 수위 및 유량자료, 1차원 모형인 HEC-2와 NETWORK, 2차원 모형인 SMS를 이용하여 한강하류 구간에 대한 조도계수의 산정결과와 와점성 계수의 산정식이 제시되었으며 실측수위와 비교를 통해 검증되었다.

  • 케이크 여과에서 케이크에 대한 정의가 아직 마련되어 있지 않다. 특히 침전된 플럭(floc)의 여과에서는 케이크를 전혀 정의하지 못하였다. 본 연구에서는 '여과-투과(filtration-permeation)' 실험을 사용하여 모든 경우의 케이크를 명확히 정의하였다. 이 케이크의 정의에 대한 고찰을 통해 케이크 여과에 의해 이룩될 수 있는 케이크 함수량의 한계에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 여과에 의해 형성된 케이크의 수분 함량을 줄이기 위한 압착조작(expression) 과정을 '고액분리 통합이론'으로 계산하고 실제 압착조작 데이터와 비교하였다. 여과와 압착조작 전체를 분석하여, 압착의 중요성을 검토했다. 그리고 회분식으로 조작되는 필터 프레스의 케이크 배출과 세척시간을 포함하여 가장 효율적인 조작조건을 계산하는 방법을 제안하였다.

액체로켓 엔진 성능 분산해석 프로그램의 개발 및 응용 (Development of a Dispersion Analysis Program for the Liquid Rocket Engine and its Application)

  • 본 연구에서는 기존의 가스발생기 사이클 액체로켓 엔진 모드해석 프로그램(GEMAT)을 개선하여 엔진 구성품이 가지는 성능 분산으로 인한 시스템 수준에서의 성능 분산을 계산 하는 프로그램을 개발하였다. 본 프로그램을 이용하여 엔진 내부 인자의 성능 분산을 보정하기 위해 필요한 각 배관에서의 보정용 여유차압을 산정하는 방법을 제시하였다. 또한 이를 활용하여 기존의 엔진 보정 방법을 보완하여 보정용 차압을 최적화하고 이를 통해 펌프 토출압을 감소시키거나 연소실의 연소압을 높임으로써 전체 엔진의 비추력 향상을 꾀할 수 있는 보정 방법을 제시하였다.
