장애 이슈에 대한 문헌정보학과의 교육 현황 분석 (An Analysis of the Education Trend on the Disability Issues in LIS Departments)

  • 최근 들어 도서관의 관종에 상관없이 사서는 장애인에게 정상인과 동등한 서비스와 효율적인 시설을 제공하려고 노력하고 있다. 이러한 맥락에서, 현장의 사서뿐만 아니라 미래의 사서도 장애 이슈의 교육을 통해 장애인의 요구와 그들의 정보입수행위를 규명하고 이해하는데 필요한 다양한 지식과 기술을 갖추어야 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 장애 이용자의 도서관 서비스에 대한 사서의 경험과 입장을 강화시키기 위하여 문헌정보학과의 교육환경을 장애 관련 교과목, 교수의 교과목 개설에 대한 인식도 그리고 그들의 강의 내용을 조사 분석하여 개선된 교육 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 본 연구의 결론에서 문헌정보학과에서 앞으로 추구하여야 할 장애 이슈의 교육 방향을 제시하였다.

장애아동 양육을 위한 어머니의 건강관련 교육요구 (Health Education Needs of Mothers who are Caring for Children with Disabilities)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the health education needs of mothers who are nurturing children with disabilities. Method: A descriptive study was done and the participants were 108 mothers of children with disabilities such being mentally challenged, developmentally delayed or having a disability involving brain damage. The questionnaire was a health education need assessment with 11 categories(58 items) developed by Han et al. The data were analyzed using SPSS program. Results: The mean score for health education needs of the mothers of children with disabilities was 3.83 (SD=0.58) out of a maximum 5. The health education need for acquisition of knowledge and information had the highest score (4.40±0.54) followed by health education needs for cognitive development and learning (4.31±0.64), interpersonal relationships (4.04±0.65) and behavior and emotion (4.04±0.79). There were significant differences between the children's sex (t=2.08, p=.04), birth order (t=2.17, p=.03), grade of disability (F=3.32, p=.02) and sex education suitable to the child's in age. Conclusion: The health education needs of mothers of children who are disabled were very high and varied. Therefore, it was important to develop comprehensive education programs which include this content and provide opportunities for mothers of children with disabilities to receive this education.

장애인 구강의료기관을 위한 서비스지침 개발 - 서비스디자인 기법을 활용하여 - (Developing Dental Service Guideline for Disabled Patients - Using Service Design Methods -)

  • This study developed key elements of dental service guidelines for the disabled patients. In order to provide consumer-oriented service guidelines for the dental patients with disability, service design method was applied. Using service design method guided by the double diamond design process, this study implemented consumer survey, observation, and contextual interviews for consumers' needs assessment. And customer journey map, mind maps, and blueprints were utilized to visualize consumer needs and guidelines for dental care services for the disabled. According to the study, disabled consumers have needs for expertise of the medical staff, dental care institutions specialized on the disabled, financial support, establishment of the facilities for the disabled, comfortable atmosphere in the institutions, and communication with medical staffs. Based on the needs of the disabled, 5 key elements of the dental care services were developed: convenience, expertise, empathy, financial support, and education and management. And service design guidelines were proposed to implement key elements of dental care services for the patients with disability. This study is significant in that it is the first attempt to apply the service design technique from the consumer perspectives in the field of dental care for the disabled. Furthermore the process of this study has become a reference that can be utilized and applied to other medical institution.

Nutrition education programs necessary for social welfare facilities for persons with disabilities: a cross-sectional study

  • Objectives: This study investigated the need for nutrition education aimed at improving the health of residents and users of social welfare facilities for persons with disability and aimed to provide basic information for developing a nutrition education program that meets the needs of the field. Methods: Altogether, 249 employees working in social welfare facilities for people with disabilities were included in the study. Data on the health status of residents/users, meal management, nutritional education, nutritional education needs, and awareness of nutritional education were obtained through online surveys. A descriptive analysis was conducted to analyze the demographic characteristics, needs, and perceptions of the respondents, and independent t-tests and χ2 tests were performed to analyze and compare the differences between residential and daycare facilities. Results: The majority of residents/users of social welfare facilities for persons with disabilities have developmental disabilities. When educating residents with residents/users of social welfare facilities, 'personal hygiene' was the most necessary topic, followed by 'obesity management' education. Regarding the methods of providing education, face-to-face lectures demonstrated a high demand. They responded that when nutrition education experts provide nutrition education to people with disabilities, they must understand 'the physical characteristics of persons with disabilities' and have the ability to determine appropriate nutrition for such people. The most appropriate nutrition program training would be twice a year, lasting 30 min to 1 h per training session. Conclusions: It will present a direction for operating a nutrition education program for persons with disabilities that meets their needs of social welfare facilities and ultimately contribute to the establishment and activation of nutrition education tailored to welfare facilities for such individuals in Korea.

3개 신문사 기사에 나타난 장애관 연구 : 장애인복지법상 장애 종류를 중심으로 (Three Newspapers Research from The Perspective of Disability : Focusing on The Types of Disabilities on The Disabled Person Welfare Law)

  • 본 연구는 3개 신문사에 나타난 「장애인복지법」상장애에 대한 기사를 분석했다. 3개 신문사는 <동아일보>, <한국일보>, <한겨레신문>의 신문사 홈페이지에서 수집한 장애관련 기사는 총 7,684건이다. 네트워크 텍스트분석과 내용분석을 통하여 다중장애모델의 '장애관'을 고찰하였다. 본 연구의 결과로 개별모델 및 사회모델을 비교로 개별모델 64.31%, 사회모델 35.69%로 개별모델이 상당히 높게 나타났다. 3개 신문사에 나타난 장애관은 전통적 개별모델의 장애로 개인이 해결해야 하는 것으로 나타났다. 사회 환경적 및 제도적 문제는 낮게 나타나 사회적 약자인 장애인에 대한 국민들의 관심과 배려가 요구된다. 본 연구의 사회복지적 함의는 장애를 바라보는 시대 변화에도 신문은 전통적 패러다임에 머물고 있었다. 장애를 장애인의 관점에서 바라보는 것이 요구되며, 개별적 욕구의 다양성을 인식하는 성숙한 의식이 필요하다. 본 연구는 신문기사에 나타난 장애관을 양적·질적 데이터의 양방향 시도를 고찰한 점에서 의의가 있다.

청각장애 대학생의 도서관 이용행태와 정보요구에 대한 연구 (An Analysis on Information Seeking Behavior and Needs of Hearing Impaired College Students)

  • 본 연구는 청각장애 대학생들의 도서관 이용행태와 정보요구를 파악하여, 그들에게 적절한 도서관 서비스 프로그램 등을 개발하기 위한 기초자료를 수립하는데 목적이 있다. 그 목적을 달성하기 위해 청각장애 대학생에게 설문조사와 면접을 실시, 총 155명의 데이터를 수집하였고, 그 데이터를 빈도분석, 교차검증, t-검증, 일원분산분석으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 청각장애 대학생의 성별, 학년, 장애등급, 출신학교, 학과, 사용 보장구에 따라 도서관 이용형태(정보수집의 어려움, 도서관 이용횟수, 도서관 이용목적, 도서관을 이용하지 않는 이유) 전 영역에서 유의미한 차이를 발견하였다. 그리고 청각장애 대학생의 사용 보장구의 종류, 출신학교, 장애등급에 따른 정보요구의 차이를 분석한 결과, 사용 보장구에 따른 정보요구(최신 자료 확충, 이용자 교육홍보, 수화통역사, 홈페이지 개선, 열람환경개선)는 전 영역에서 유의미한 차이를 보였고, 출신학교에 따른 정보요구(이용자 교육홍보, 수화통역사 배치)와 장애등급에 따른 정보요구(이용자 교육홍보, 열람환경 개선)에서도 일부 유의미한 차이를 보였다.

장애인서비스 전달체계 개편방안에 대한 비판적 고찰 (A Critical Perspective on the Central Governmental Reorganization of the Social Service Delivery System for People with Disabilities)

  • 장애인서비스 전달체계는 욕구평가체계의 결여, 사례관리체계의 미비, 전문인력의 부족 및 지방복지행정기관의 미비라는 문제를 안고 있다. 보건복지가족부는 장애인서비스 전달체계를 개편하기 위해 2007년부터 장애인복지인프라개선방안을 추진하고 있다. 개선방안에서는 장애판정체계의 개편과 장애서비스판정센터의 설립을 제안하고 있으며, 장애판정체계는 기존의 의학적 판정도구 외에 근로활동능력평가도구 및 복지욕구사정도구를 개발하여 장애인의 욕구평가체계를 도입하려고 시도하고 있다. 또한 장애서비스판정센터의 설립 모형으로 독립형, 지자체형, 공단형의 세 가지 모델을 제시하고 2008년 하반기에 시범사업을 실시하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 장애인서비스 전달체계를 개선하기 위한 핵심적인 요소가 보건복지가족부가 통제할 수 있고, 욕구평가와 사례관리를 수행할 수 있는 전문 인력을 갖춘 지방장애인복지행정기관을 120여개 설립하는 것이며, 현실적으로 한국장애인개발원을 정점으로 전국의 장애인복지관을 지방장애인복지행정기관으로 활용할 것을 제안하고 있다.

장애인 구강진료 접근성 제약 - Part 2. 장애인 환자 보호자 측면에서의 고찰 (TREATMENT BARRIERS OF SPECIAL NEEDS PATIENTS - PART 2. CONSIDERATION FROM THE PERSPECTIVES OF CAREGIVERS)

  • The aim of this study was to determine the factors contributing to the barrier of dental treatment for special needs patients perceived by the main caregivers of the patients. A questionnaire was developed with three parts: patient-related factors, caregiver-related factors, and factors for treatment barriers. Patient- and caregiver-related factors were analyzed for correlations with the barrier factors. Fisher's exact test and Chi-square test were used at the level of 0.05. A total of 52 caregivers (mean age [SD]=50.2 [11.5] years) for the patients with intellectual and cognitive disabilities (mean age [SD]=38.9 [21.3]) responded to the questionnaires. Oral hygiene status, need for assistance in tooth brushing, and cooperation for tooth brushing were correlated with the level of treatment cooperation of the patients (p<0.05). The above three factors were also correlated with the treatment barrier despite patients presenting oral symptoms (p<0.05). Two thirds of the caregivers felt the treatment cost as severe or a considerable financial burden. For patients, insurance types and need for assistance in tooth brushing, and for caregivers, education levels and financial status were significant factors contributing to financial burden (p<0.05). There were background factors of the patients and their caregivers associated with access to dental treatment for special needs patients. Deficient cooperative skills and financial burdens were the main obstacles to treatment access. Tooth brushing skills and oral hygiene status can be proxy measures to cooperative ability for dental treatment.

What Else Is Needed in the Korean Government's Master Plan for People With Developmental Disabilities?

  • On September 12, 2018, President Jae-In Moon announced the Comprehensive Plan for Lifelong Care for People with Developmental Disabilities, with representatives from the associated government branches (Ministry of Health and Welfare, Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Employment and Labor) in attendance. The goals of this plan are to provide health, medical, rehabilitative, special education, and social welfare services according to the life-stages of the affected individuals; to reduce parental pressure; to promote social interventions; and to enhance community-level participation in order to create a 'welfare society in harmony.' However, in order for the plan to succeed, additional efforts must be made in the following areas. First, an epidemiological survey is needed to understand the scale, prevalence, and incidence of developmental disabilities and to establish an evidence base to support policy development. Second, accurate definitions of developmental disabilities must be established in order to avoid policy discrimination based on impairment type and age. Third, personal evaluations to assess disabled individuals' unmet needs and customized service designs to deliver those needs are required. Fourth, the plan must fulfill the goals of accessibility and fairness that the government intends to provide. Fifth, the government should consider an integrated financial support system and to propose a detailed plan for monetary distributions. Finally, an integrated system that links health, medical, employment, educational, and welfare services must be constructed.

장애인의 실내 생활 특성 및 주거유형을 고려한 주거 공간별 개선 방안에 관한 연구 (A study on improvement of house space considering the indoor life characteristics and living type for disabled)

  • Population ageing and the disabled population is increasing. so disabled population and elderly people in the physical environment for Barrier-Free recently has been getting attention. according to a recent welfare paradigm shift of life support promoting for the housing remodeling. but basic remodeling made of simple living environment improvement and facilities installation for the type of disability customised housing remodeling. efficient housing remodeling plan for remodeling before and after through change the safety accidents occurred ratio. living environment for the improvement of housing and reconstruction for the benefit of comprehensively considering for disability subject in Indoor living type and the type of disability, housing type etc. and personalize house was remodeling for corresponding each space problem for identify obstacles and living types. as a result satisfaction changes & safety accident rate changes as follow. first, have complained that there was a in to residents environment furniture for reconstruction of the former housing remodeling needs survey. 80.2% of total for the percentage of households with high needs remodeling. second, The survey did not meet the 29 furniture as after the construction for died about recipient & up sticks & long absence. this leave out after the safety accident Corporation about 101 housing in the 88% of households did not happen. as a result, the lower the ratio of safety accidents occurring very revealed. third, grasp the meaning for indoor living type. showed that each approach(83%), front porch(90%), kitchen, living room(91%), bedroom(93%), toilet(92%) for each space remodeling satisfaction flow through customized housing remodeling.
