This study was carried out by using questionnaires with 200 general doctors serving as the director of health subcenter in Kyongsangbuk-do Province as of January 1995. The results are summarized as follows. It was shown that the general characteristics consisted of 53 directors in the lst year(26.5%), 85 in the 2nd year(42.5%) and 62 in the 3rd year(31.0%). The percentage spent on their medical service showed that 73.0% of those directors spent more than 90% on their medical service. Based on their general service attitiude, 0% answered that the director of the health subcenter completes the given duties as the director, and 24.5% did that the director has the sense of responsibility and duty. Multiple answers concerning inconvenience and difficulties of the health subcenter director showed that less monthly salary accounted for 75.5%, no administrative power for 50.0%, insufficient medical instruments for 35.5%, insufficient budget for 30.0%, respect. In conclusion, in order for the health subcenter to meet the function as the primary medical clinic, it is required to arange the plans to inspire the public health doctors' service desire to that they can give the medical service as good as the private primary medical clinics, to convert existing concept of the public health doctors' placement in Myon administrative district into new concept in Gun by breaking from a uniform placement, and to consider an intensive placement according to the relevant projects so that preventive health activities can be planned and carried out.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the role adaptation process experienced by executive directors of nursing department of general hospitals. Methods: Data were collected from 9 executive nursing directors though in-depth interviews about their experiences. The main question was "How do you describe your experience of the process of role adaptation as an executive nursing director?" Qualitative data from field and transcribed notes were analyzed using Strauss & Corbin's grounded theory methodology. Results: The core category of experience of the process of role adaptation as an executive nursing director was identified as "entering the center with pushing and pulling". The participants used five interactional strategies; 'maintaining modest attitudes', 'inquiring about trends of popular feeling', 'making each person a faithful follower', 'collecting & displaying power', 'leading with initiative'. The consequences of role adaptation in executive nursing directors were 'coexisting with others', 'immersing in one's new role with dedication', and 'having capacity for high tolerance'. The types of role adaptations of executive directors in nursing department were friendly type, propulsive type, accommodating type. Conclusion: The results of this study produced useful information for executive nursing directors on designing a self-managerial program to enhance role adaptation based on interactional strategies.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of a director's support for coding education perceived by childcare teachers on the participation of teachers in the learning community and the intention to implement coding education. Methods: The participants of this study were 312 early childhood teachers working at daycare centers in Seoul, Gyeong-gi, and In-cheon area. The data were collected through the survey questionnaires and analyzed using a structural model to explore the relationship between variables. Results: Verifying the mediating effect of infant teacher participation in the learning community between a director's support and infant teacher's intention to implement coding education positively mediates the director's support and infant teacher's intention to implement coding education. In particular, it was discovered that the intention to participate in coding-related learning communities had the greatest impact on infant teachers' intentions to implement coding education based on total effectiveness. Conclusion/Implications: The above analysis results suggest that in order to enhance the intention of infant teachers to implement coding education, it is necessary to support the learning community related to coding education and encourage participation from infant teachers.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the structural relationship between the authentic leadership of the director, social support, and teacher efficacy perceived by early childhood teachers. Methods: The participants of the study were 433 teachers working at kindergartens and daycare centers in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The data collected through the survey were analyzed by applying a structural equation model. Results: As a result of the study, it was found that the authentic leadership of the director perceived by early childhood teachers had a positive (+) effect on the early childhood teachers' social support and teacher efficacy, respectively, and social support had a positive (+) effect on teacher efficacy of the early childhood teachers. The results showed that social support had a positive mediating effect in the relationship between the director's authentic leadership and teacher efficacy perceived by early childhood teachers. Conclusion/Implications: The results suggest that it is necessary to establish a social support system through the exercise of the director's authentic leadership in order to improve the teacher efficacy of early childhood teachers.

We have studied the origin of coherent director rotation [CDR] as well as memory behavior in thiol-ene polymer stabilized ferroelectric liquid crystal [FLC]. The ene constituents are found to be always located at the inter-layer space and induce the coherent director rotation motion of liquid crystal molecule. On the other hand, the thiols are more intersticed between ferroelectric liquid crystal molecules at intra-layer as the thiol gets longer, and these intersticed thiols enhance the multistability and the resolution of memory state of FLCs.

In this paper we model the liquid crystal director field in the Patterned Vertical Alignment (PVA) LC using the fast Q-tensor method, which can model multidimensional director configurations with defects in the liquid crystal director field. We observed the dynamic behaviors of the defect experimentally by applying the voltage and modeled the LC director field with defect in the active area of the PVA cell. As a result, we could also calculate the optical transmittance.

The fringe-field switching (FFS) mode was known to exhibit both a wide viewing angle and high transmittance, especially when using the liquid crystal (LC) with negative dielectric anisotropy. In the device, the LC director rotates almost in-plane. However, in the bright state the device shows bluish and yellowish color along parallel and perpendicular to the LC director at off-normal directions since the LC director rotates only in one direction. Such a problem was greatly improved using a wedge shape of only pixel electrodes. In this way two different field directions exist in a pixel, enabling the LC director to rotate in two opposite directions. Consequently, owing to dual domain effect when using the LC with negative dielectric anisotropy, the viewing angle characteristics are greatly improved.

광집속장치의 광학정렬 광학계로 기존의 자동시준 광학계 대신 null 광학계를 제안하였다. 구경 30 cm 급 광집속장치 집속광학계의 광학정렬을 위한 null 광학계를 설계하고 성능을 분석하였다. null 광학계의 기울기 정럴오차에 대한 비축수차는 매우 작지만, 기울기 정렬오차에 대한 출력 광선의 기울기 변화는 4배로 확대되어 집속광학계 광학정렬 점검장치로서 우수하게 사용될 수 있다.

국가도서관은 자국에서 출판되거나 생산된 모든 중요한 출판물과 디지털 정보를 수집 보존할 책임이 있다. 이를 위하여 관장은 도서관 및 정보시스템의 전문성을 기반으로 직무를 수행해야 함에도 불구하고 역대 국립중앙도서관장은 도서관 및 정보시스템 분야의 전문지식과 관리경력이 거의 없었다. 이에 본 연구는 개방형 직위제, 책임행정기관화, 정무직화, 특수법인화의 측면에서 국립중앙도서관장의 전문성 강화 내지 확보방안을 제안하였다.

We demonstrate that the finite rate of dielectric relaxation in liquid crystals which has been ignored previously causes profound effects in the fast dielectric reorientation of the director. The phenomenon is relevant for submillisecond switching of the director when the switching rate approaches the rate of dielectric relaxation through the reorientation of the molecular dipoles. A submillisecond switching ($15-400\;{\mu}s$ for an optical retardation shift $0.3-2.2\;{\mu}m$ in $10-15\;{\mu}m$ thick cells) is demonstrated for dual frequency nematic cells with high pretilt that maximizes the dielectric torque acting on the director. We propose the theory of dielectric response in which the electric displacement depends not only on the present (as in the standard theory) but also on the past values of electric field and director. We design an experiment in which the standard "instantaneous" model and our model predict effects of opposite signs; the experimental data support the latter model.
