왕복운동 리니어 액추에이터의 가동자 형태에 따른 전자기적 특성해석 및 비교 (Comparison and Analysis of Linear Oscillatory Actuator According to Mover Type)

  • In the machine tool industry, direct drive linear motor technology is of increasing interest as a means to achieve high acceleration, and to increase reliability. The advantages of such a motor are that it has a good linearity and has no need of such mechanical energy conversion parts, which change rotary motion into linear motion, as screws, gears, chains etc In this paper, two structures of LOA are analyzed. One is the moving-coil type LOA and the other is moving-magnet type LOA. Two types of LOA are analyzed, with reference to the following parameters as variables: magnetic field, flux linkage, motor thrust and back emf. These variables are derived by the use of analytical method in terms of two-dimensional rectangular coordinate system. The maximum values of thrust according to such design parameters as air-gap length and magnet height for each model is also represented. The results are validated extensively by comparison with finite element method. In particular, we experiment moving-coil LOA which is already manufactured and confirm that the experimental results are shown in good agreement with analysis through the comparison of between analytical and experimental results

  • This paper presents a new vector control scheme for induction motor. An exact knowledge of the rotor flux position is essential for a high-performance vector control. The position of the rotor flux is measured in the direct scheme and estimated in the indirect schemes. Since the estimation of the flux position requires a priori knowledge of the induction motor parameters, the indirect schemes are machine parameter dependent. The rotor and stator resistance among the parameters change with temperature. Variations in the parameters of induction machine cause deterioration of both the steady state and dynamic operation of the induction motor drive. Several methods have presented to minimize the consequences of parameter sensitivity in indirect scheme. In this paper, new estimation scheme of rotor flux position is presented to eliminate sensitivity due to variation in the resistance. The simulation is executed to verify the proposed vector control performance and to compare its performance with that of indirect vector control.

  • ASEAN지역의 IT 산업은 우리에게도 지역내 IT 시장에서의 새로운 기회를 가져다 줄 것으로 기대된다. 이에 따라 우리는 새로운 기회를 새로운 도약으로 이어갈 수 있도록 우리나라 IT 산업의 경쟁력을 제고하여야 한다. 이를 위해 우리는 우리나라 IT 산업을 지역 내 국가들에게 효과적으로 홍보하고, ASEAN IT 산업의 표준을 선도하고, 지역내 국가들과의 IT 산업 관련 R&D 및 생산에서의 협력을 강화함은 물론 후발국가들의 도전을 슬기롭게 극복할 수 있어야 하겠다. 이에 본고에서는, 한국에 있어 ASEAN 시장의 중요성을 인식하고 한 일 미와 ASEAN간 정보통신산업에 있어서의 시장흐름과 무역간의 결합도를 알아보고, 주요 정보통신산업의 새로운 투자유망지역으로 떠오르고 있는 ASEAN 지역의 투자현황을 살펴보고 양지역간의 경제적 협력을 제시해 보는데에 목적을 두고자 한다.

Analysis and Experimental Verification of the Moving-Magnet Linear Actuator with Cylindrical Halbach and Radial Array

  • In the machine tool industry, direct drive linear motor technology is of increasing interest as a means to achieve high acceleration and to increase reliability. This paper analyzes and compares the characteristics of the tubular linear actuator with the cylindrical Halbach and radial array, respectively. A tubular linear actuator with cylindrical Halbach array, consisting of parallel magnetized arc segments instead of ideal radial and axial magnetized rings, is manufactured. The magnetic field solutions due to the PMs and to the currents are established analytically in terms of vector potential, using the 2-D cylindrical coordinate system. Motor thrust, flux linkage and back emf are then derived. Thrust characteristics according to such design parameters as magnet height and air gap length are also given. The results are validated extensively by comparison with finite element analysis (FEA). Test results such as thrust measurements are also given to confirm the analysis.

  • Conventionally, ZVS FB DC/DC converter was controlled by monolithic IC UC3879, which includes the functions of oscillator, error amplifier and phase-shift circuit. Also, microprocessor and DSP have been widely used for the remote control and for the immediate waveform control in ZVS FB DC/DC converter. However the conventional microprocessor controller is complex and difficult to control because the controller consists of analog and digital parts. In the case of the control of FB DC/DC converter, the output is required of driving a direct signal to the switch drive circuits by the digital controller. So, this paper presents the method and realization of designing the digital-to-phase shift PWM circuit controlled by DSP (TMX320C32) in a 2,500A, 40㎾ ZVS FB DC/DC converter.

  • Recently, the development of novel control methodology enables us to improve the performance of AC-machine drives by using pulse width modulation (PWM) technique. Usually, the dynamic characteristic of induction motor (IM) has been represented by the 5-th order nonlinear differential equation. This dynamics, however, can be reduced to 3-rd order dynamics by applying direct control of IM input current. This methodology concludes that it is much easier to control IM by means of the field-oriented methods employing the current controller. Therefore a precise current control is crucial to achieve a high control performance both in dynamic and steady state operations. This paper presents an adaptive fuzzy current controller with artificial neural network (ANN) for field-oriented controlled IM. This new control structure is able to adaptively minimize a current ripple while maintaining constant switching frequency. Especially the proposed controller employs neuro-computing philosophy as well as adaptive learning pattern recognizing principles with respect to variations of the system parameters. The proposed approach is applied to the IM drive system, and its performance is tested through various simulations. Simulation results show that the proposed system, compared among several known classical methods, has a superb performance.

  • 포항풍력에너지연구소와 (주)보국전기는 에너지 관리공단의 지원으로 2002년부터 직접구동형 풍력 터빈 KBP-750D에 사용될 발전기를 개발해 오고 있다. KBP-750D에 사용되는 발전기는 증속을 위한 gearbox를 사용하지 않는 직접 구동형 이라는 것과, 영구자석을 사용하여 여자하는 형식이라는 것이다. 이런 특징은 풍력발전에서 요구하는 주요 요구조건인 고효율, 고신뢰성을 만족시키기 위해서 매우 중요하다. 개발된 발전기는 25 rpm 정격에서 800 kW의 정격을 가지도록 설계되었다. 공극 직경은 3,320 mm 이며, stator의 길이는 705 mm, 4.5 mm의 공극, 84극을 가지고 있으며, 전체중량은 약 20 ton이다. 이 보고에서는 이 발전기의 물리설계 공학설계 등에 관해서 논의한다.

자동차 엔진 냉각시스템의 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 (Computer Simulation of an Automotive Engine Cooling System)

  • An automotive engine cooling system is closely related with overall engine performances, such as reduction of fuel consumption, decrease of air pollution, and increase of engine life. Because of complex reaction between each component, the direct experiment, using a vehicle, takes high cost, long time, and slow response to the system change. Therefore, a computer simulation would provide the designer with an inexpensive and effective tool for design, development, and optimization of the engine cooling system over a wide range of operating conditions. In this work, it has been predicted the thermal performance of the engine cooling system in cases of stationary mode, constant speed mode, and city-drive mode by mathematical modelling of each component and numerical analysis. The components are engine, radiator, heater, thermostat, water pump, and cooling fans. Since the engine model is the most important, that is divided into eight sub-sections. The volume mean temperature of eight sub-sections are simultaneously calculated at a time. For detail calculation, the radiator and heater are also divided into many sub-sections like control volumes in finite difference method. Each sub-section is assumed to consist of three parts, coolant, tube with fin, and air. Hence it has been developed the simulation program that can be used in case of design and system configuration changes. The overall performance results obtained by the program were desirable and the time-traced tendencies of the results agreed fairly well with those of actual situations.

  • 리니어 스텝핑 모터(Linear Stepping Motor : 이하 LSM이라 칭함)는 운동 변환기구 없이 입력신호에 따라 선형적인 변위를 발생시키는 다이렉트 드라이브(Direct Drive)방식의 전동기이다. 따라서 LSM은 자동반송장치, 의료기기, OA,FA 응용 등에 다양하게 사용되고 있다. 그러나 LSM은 구동시 구조적으로 큰 진동이 발생됨으로서 추력이 급격히 떨어질 때가 있으며, 최악의 경우에는 역전이나 탈조현상이 발생하고, 또한 소음의 원인이 되기 때문에 응용에 있어서 많은 제약을 받고 있는 실정이다. 여기에 대응하기 위해, 본 논문에서는 권선 인덕턴스에 저장된 에너지와 LSM의 유도전압을 이용한 새로운 1상 여자방식에 의한 진동억제 방법을 보여주며, 또한 LSM의 구조를 기초로 자기등가회로를 구성하였으며, 또한 자기등가회로에 대한 방정식을 이용하여 LSM의 전기적인 등기회로를 유도하였다. 그리고, LSM의 새로운 1상 여자방식에 의한 진동특성을 전압방정식과 추력방정식 및 운동방정식을 사용하여 ACSL에 의하여 시뮬레이션 하였으며, 레이저 실측 시스템에 의한 실측결과와 비교·검토하였다.

  • Due to the environmental considerations and the energy crisis, there has been a revival of electric vehicles since 1960s. Research and development work concerning with electric vehicles (EVs) was becoming more intense in last decade. As compared with conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) cars, EVs have the advantages of clean, quiet, better energy efficiency, less maintenance and improving the load factor of electric power systems. However, EVs usually have a snort running range, bad acceleration performance and high initial cost. The main reason for these shortcomings is the low figure of energy density and the high per energy cost of battery at present technology state. So it is very important to optimize the overall drive system design with respect to the maximum utilization of battery, energy, motor torque and inverter power. This paper describes a demonstration model of electric car which is driven by 4-wheel direct method using the vector control.
