열 퍼머넌트 웨이브 시술 시 로드의 열 형성에 따른 모발의 형태적 손상에 관한 연구 (Morphological Damages of Hair by Heat Formation of Rods during Heat Perm)

  • 일반적으로 모발에 웨이브를 형성시키기 위해서 시술하는 퍼머넌트 웨이브 중에서도 가장 자연스럽고 탄력있는 웨이브를 얻기 위해서 열을 이용한 시술을 선호한다. 이에 본 연구는 퍼머넌트 웨이브 시술시 사용되는 로드의 열 형성도에 따라서 모발에 미치는 표면적인 모발의 손상도를 주사전자현미경을 활용하여 측정하였다. 로드의 열 형성이 웨이브에 미치는 영향력을 알아보기 위해 열 로드에서 전달되는 온도를 측정하고 웨이브를 시술하여 웨이브 된 둥근 모양의 형태대로 모발을 절단한 후 처치를 하였다. 주사전자현미경 관찰에서 뜨거운 열이 직접적으로 닿은 부분은 모발이 끊어진 것을 확인할 수 있었는데 끊어진 면이 매끄러운 현상을 보였다. 본 연구의 결과로는 퍼머넌트 웨이브시에 사용되는 열 로드는 열 전달이 로드 전체에 고르게 전달되는 특성을 가지고 있는 재질을 활용하고 로드의 구조 또한 중요함을 인식하고 미용 업계에서 활발한 연구가 이뤄져야 할 것으로 사료된다.

Ethnomedicinal Study of Plants in Begumganj, Noakhali, Bangladesh

  • This study is a record of ethnomedicinal knowledge in Begumganj province focussed on medicinal plants and their local uses for primary health care. The aim was to document and preserve the ethnomedicinal knowledge used by traditional healers of Begumganj upazila, Bangladesh, to treat human diseases and evaluate the relative efficacy of the medicinal plants. The uses of medicinal plants were documented as an ethnomedicinal data sheet using direct observation, field interview, plant interview and group interview techniques from December 2012 to January 2014 in the study area. Data were collected from 98 traditional healers through a questionnaire survey and analyzed through informant consensus factor and fidelity level. This study revealed comprehensive relationship among various diseases and families, forms and parts of plants and modes of preparation. Overall, 75 plant species under 71 genera of 47 families were documented, which are used to treat 41 diseases. Data analysis revealed that 41.33%, 14.67%, 36% and 8% of the medicinal plant species were herbs, shrubs, trees, and climbers, respectively. Leaves were the most used parts, followed by stem, root, fruit, bark, latex and rhizome. The most frequently treated diseases were dysentery, rheumatism and skin diseases. This is the first ethnobotanical survey, which recorded the importance of medicinal plants in Begumganj upazila, Bangladesh. This study can contribute to preserving the indigenous knowledge on the traditional use of medicinal plants in this region and new drug development with attracting future generations towards traditional healing practice.

Assessment of Masks Used by Healthcare Workers: Development and Validation of a Mask Qualitative Assessment Tool (MQAT)

  • Background: Respiratory masks can provide healthcare workers with protection from biological hazards when they have good performance. There is a direct relationship between the visual specifications of a mask and its efficacy; thus, the aim of this study was to develop tools for qualitative assessment of the performance of masks used by healthcare workers. Methods: A mixed-methods design was used to develop a qualitative assessment tool for medical face masks (MFM) and particle filtering half masks (PFHM). The development of domains and items was undertaken using observation and interviews, the opinions of an expert panel, and a review of texts and international standards. The second phase evaluated the psychometric properties of tools. Finally, the validated Mask Qualitative Assessment Tools (MQAT) were used to assess six samples from 10 brands of the two types of masks. Results: MQAT-MFM and MQAT-PHFM shared 42 items across seven domains: "cleanliness," "design," "marking, labeling and packaging," "mask layers," "mask strap," "materials and construction," and "nose clip." MQAT-MFM included one additional item. MQAT-PHFM included another nine items associated with an eighth "Practical Performance" domain, and the valve version had another additional "Exhalation Valve" domain and six items. The evaluation indicated 80% compliance for MFM and 71% compliance for PFHM. "Marking, labeling and packaging" and "Layers" were associated with the least compliance in both types of masks and should be checked carefully for defining mask quality. Conclusion: MQAT can be used for immediate screening and initial assessment of MFM and PHFM through appearance, simple tools, and visual inspection.

국내 운용 UHF-윈드프로파일러 레이더의 원시 스펙트럼 분석 (Raw Spectrum Analysis of operated UHF-Wind Profiler Radar in South Korea)

  • 본 논문에서는 우리나라에서 운용 중인 4개 제조사 윈드프로파일러의 성능 평가 및 품질관리의 방향성을 제시하기 위해 원시 스펙트럼 자료를 분석하였다. 계절별로 평균한 스펙트럼의 프로파일과 파워 스펙트럼 밀도(PSD, Power Spectrum Density)로 산출한 4가지 통계값(최소, 평균, 중앙, 최댓값)의 프로파일을 활용하였다. 스펙트럼 자료의 품질은 LAP-3000이 가장 우수하였고, YKJ3, PCL-1300, CLC-11-H가 뒤를 이었다. 철원과 추풍령에 설치된 PCL-1300은 지형과 비기상 신호로 인한 스펙트럼의 변동성이 커서 지형 클러터 제거와 이동평균, 멀티피크 등의 신호처리 과정이 요구되었다. 군산과 파주에 설치된 CLC-11-H는 직류 치우침과 전파거리 접힘 현상이 발견되어 직류 치우침 제거와 관측 유효 고도 제한이 선행될 필요가 있다.

  • 본 연구는 온라인 미술품 거래 플랫폼을 통한 신진미술가의 작품 가치화 과정에 관한 이해를 목적으로 한다. 본 논문은 부르디외의 문화자본론에 대한 이론적 탐구를 토대로, 사치아트란 온라인 미술품 거래 플랫폼의 사례연구를 진행했다. 본 연구는 사치아트에 의해 선별된 국내 작가 7인과의 인터뷰 내용을 주요 자료로 삼고, 해당 플랫폼에 대한 직접 관찰 및 다양한 이차자료의 문헌검토를 통해 부가적인 자료를 수집했다. 분석 결과, 사치아트는 큐레이션을 통해 선별된 작가의 작품 가치를 암묵적으로 보증하고 인정함으로써, 해당 작가의 상징자본 형성에 기여하고 있음을 포착했다. 또한, 본고는 이 같은 작가의 상징자본 형성의 기저에는 해당 플랫폼의 창립자와 큐레이터가 축적한 상징자본의 보증이 위치함을 논하였다. 본 연구는 오프라인 미술계 기반의 미술품 가치에 관한 기존 예술경영학적 논의를 온라인으로 확장하는 것에 의의가 있다.

QR 분해에 기반한 저 복잡도 센서 선택 알고리즘 (Low-complexity Sensor Selection Based on QR factorization)

  • 센서 네트워크에서 평균 추정성능을 높이기 위한 저 복잡도를 갖는 센서 노드 선택 알고리즘에 대해 연구한다. 복잡도를 줄이기 위해 직접적인 비용함수인 평균 추정오차를 최소화 하는 대신, 평균 추정오차 공분산 역행렬의 로그행렬식을 비용함수로 채택하고 이를 최대화하는 센서 노드 집합을 선택하기 위한 탐욕적 반복 알고리즘을 제안한다. 비용함수에 있는 관측행렬에 QR분해를 적용하여 단계마다 한 개의 노드를 선택하기 위한 저 복잡도를 갖는 수학적관계식을 유도한다. 다양한 실험을 통해, 추정성능 및 복잡도면에서 기존의 센서 노드 선택기술 대비 제안 알고리즘이 경쟁력있는 성능을 보임을 입증하고 실용적 센서 노드 선택기술로써 다양한 네트워크시스템에 적용할 수 있는 대안을 제시한다.

한국형 소아 환자 분류도구의 신뢰도와 타당도 검증 및 간호시간 환산지수 산출 연구 (Verification of the Reliability and Validity of the Korean Pediatric Patient Classification System and Estimation of Nursing Time Conversion Index)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to verify reliability and validity of the Korean Pediatric Patient Classification System (KPPCS) and estimate nursing time conversion index. Methods: The study was conducted in 9 children's hospital which included various areas and size of bed settings. To verify intraclass correlation reliability and construct validity, staff nurses and nurse managers of 21 wards classified 575 patients according to KPPCS comparing differences by age, days of stay, type of stay and medical department. Direct and indirect nursing time of 575 patients were measured by 284 nursing staffs by stopwatch observation and self reports for 24 hours. Results: KPPCS has 12 categories, 55 nursing activities and 80 criterions. High agreement among nurses (r=.91, p<.001) suggested substantial reliability. Construct validity was verified by comparing differences in age, days of stay, type of stay and medical department (p<.05). The correlation of nursing time and classification score was also statistically significant (r=.59, p<.001). The nursing time conversion index was 10.78 minutes per 1 classification score. The entire patient group were classified to four groups using KPPCS. Conclusion: The findings suggest that KPPCS would be a useful tool for estimating nursing demands related to the complexity of pediatric patients.

경혈학실습 체제적 교수설계를 위한 RPISD 모형 적용 연구 (Application of the Rapid Prototyping Instructional Systems Design in Meridianology Laboratory)

  • Objectives : Instructional design is the systematic approach to the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation of learning materials and activities. We aimed to apply the rapid prototyping to instructional systems design (RPISD) in meridianology laboratory, a subject in which students train acupuncture to develop lesson plan. Methods : The needs of the stakeholders including client, subject matter expert and students were analyzed using the performance needs analysis model. Task analysis was implemented by observation and interview. First prototype was drafted and implemented in meridianology laboratory class once. The second prototype was modified from the first, by usability evaluation of the stakeholders. Results : The client requested an electronically documented manual to improve the quality of acupuncture training. The learner requested an extension of practice time and detailed practice guidelines. The main problems of students' performance were some cases of violation of clean needle technique, the lack of communication between the operator and recipient in direct, and lack of confidence in their own performance. Stakeholders were generally satisfied with the proposed first prototype. Second prototype of lesson plan was produced by modifying some contents. Conclusions : A lesson plan was developed by applying the systematic RPISD model. It is expected that the developed instructional design may contribute to the quality improvement of meridianology laboratory education.

MULTIPLE LINEAR REGRESSION APPROACH FOR PRODUCTIVITY ESTIMATION OF BULLDOZERS

  • Productivity measurement of construction machinery is a significant issue faced by many contractors especially those involved in earthwork projects. Traditionally, equipment production rate has been estimated using data available in manufacturers' catalogues, results of previous construction projects, or personal experience and assessments of the site personnel. Actual production rates obtained after the completion of a project demonstrate the fact that most of these methods fail to provide accurate results and as a direct consequence, may lead to unrealistic project cost estimations prepared by the contractors. What makes this more critical is that in most cases, inadequate cost estimations lead the entire project to exceed the initial budget or fall behind the schedule. In this paper, a linear regression method to estimate bulldozer productivity is introduced. This method has been developed using SPSS-16 software package. The presented method is used to estimate the productivity of Komatsu D-155A1 series which is commonly used in many earthmoving operations in Iran. The data required for the numerical analysis has been collected from actual site observation and productivity measurement of 60 pieces of D-155A1 series currently being used in several earthmoving projects in Iran. Comparative analysis of the output data of the presented regression method and the existing productivity tables provided by the manufacturer shows that when compared to the actual productivity data collected on the jobsite, a significant increase in accuracy and a remarkable reduction of data variance can be achieved by using the presented regression method.

한국형 환자분류도구-1(KPCS-1)의 신뢰도와 타당도 검증 및 간호시간 환산지수 산출 (Verification of Reliability and Validity of KPCS-1 and Estimation of Nursing Time Conversion Index)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to verify reliability and validity of Korean Patient Classification System for nurses(KPCS-1), to estimate nursing time conversion index, and to classify patients into groups according to KPCS-1 scores. Methods: KPCS-1 was revised from KPCS by a professional review team. Interrater reliability and construct validity of KPCS-1 were verified by data from 433 patients. Direct and indirect nursing time of 204 patients were measured by stopwatch observation and self reports for 24 hours. Nursing time conversion index was calculated. Results: KPCS-1 consisted of 12 area, 50 nursing activities, and 73 items. The interrater reliability was tested between two nurse group (r=.88, p<.001) and construct validity was verified according to medical department (F=10.97, p<.001) and patient pattern (F=5.54, p=.001). The correlation of nursing time and classification score was also statistically significant (r=.56, p<.001). The nursing time conversion index was 9.03 minutes per 1 classification score. The patients were classified into 4 groups by the classification scores. Conclusion: KPCS-1 can be a useful factor type patient classification system for general ward. Further study is needed to evaluate validity and reliability for refining KPCS-1 and to develop ways connecting the scores with nursing outcomes.
