A convex region covers a family of curves if it contains a congruent copy of each curve in the family, and a 'worm problem' for that family is to find the convex region of smallest area. In this paper, we find the smallest triangular cover of any prescribed shape for the family S of all triangles of diameter 1.

In 2000 a general conjecture was proposed: a special polygon cannot be cut into an odd number of triangles of equal areas. It has been proved that the conjecture holds for polygons with at most six sides. In this paper we prove the existence of special n-polygon for any integer n > 6 and discuss the conjecture for special polygons with seven sides.

In this paper, we will introduce the general concepts of generalized multiobjective game, generalized weight Nash equilibria and generalized Pareto equilibria. Next using the fixed point theorems due to Idzik [5] and Kim-Tan [6] , we shall prove the existence theorems of generalized weight Nash equilibria under general hypotheses. And as applications of generalized weight Nash equilibria, we shall prove the existence of generalized Pareto equilibria in non-compact generalized multiobjective game.

In this paper, a novel method of reaching law variable structure control based on fuzzy rules is present, which is that the reaching law parameters is on-line adjusted by fuzzy rules. This method is used in a digital ac position servo system, the experiment results show that the system designed by this method has both satisfactory quality and very smaller chattering.

We show that the Auslander index is the same as the column invariant over Gorenstein local rings. We also show that Ding's conjecture ([13]) holds for an isolated non-Gorenstein ring A satisfying a certain condition which seems to be weaker than the condition that the associated graded ring of A is Cohen-Macaulay.

Porosity is one important characteristic feature and structural index of sprayed coatings. A method of measurement of porosity, EPMA-EDS image processing is developed in the paper. The characteristics of pores can be determined by processing of the image obtained from an electron microscope via VISTA, Not only the porosity can be presented but also the statistical result of pore size distribution. Finally it can be drawn from this paper that EPMA-EDS is a quite effective method to completely characterize the pores in plasma sprayed coatings.

A theta graph is the union of three internally disjoint paths that have the same two distinct end vertices. We show that every graph of order $n{\geq}12$ and size at least ${\lfloor}\frac{11n-18}{2}{\rfloor}$ contains three disjoint theta graphs. As a corollary, every graph of order $n{\geq}12$ and size at least ${\lfloor}\frac{11n-18}{2}{\rfloor}$ contains three disjoint cycles of even length.

The general solution for two-dimensional magneto-electro-elastic media in terms of four harmonic displacement functions is proposed analytically. The expressions of specific solutions of magneto-electro-elastic plane problems with specific body forces are derived. Finally, based on the general solution in the case of distinct eigenvalues and the specific solution for density functionally gradient media, two kinds of beam problems with body forces depending only on the z or x coordinate are solved by the trial-and-error method.

In this communication, we introduce an Ishikawa type iterative algorithm for finding the approximate solutions of a class of nonlinear set valued variational inclusion problems. We also establish a characterization of strong convergence of this iterative techniques.
