Service quality is still a new concept to those who works in shipping lines services since it has not been identified as a mandatory factor to increase competitiveness. Most carriers are currently offering services at the same level of price, transit time, equipment, etc. Thus offering a high quality service is the best way for a carrier to differentiate itself from its competitors in the market. The research aims to conduct an assessment on service quality at Wan Hai Lines (WHL) outbound services based on the SERVQUAL model, form of dimension-by-dimension analysis. This study was based on a survey of 135 people. The outcome is the service quality of WHL outbound services can be identified by three dimension(s): Empathy and Responsiveness, Assurance, and Reliability. It would help management to have an overall picture about the current service quality, and to find solutions to improve service quality following the recommendations. WHL managers need to recognize that "Reliability" has the strongest influence on customers' expectations, then come "Empathy and Responsiveness" and "Assurance". Therefore, board of managers should spend time looking carefully at each of the three dimensions, especially for the biggest gap between perceptions and expectations of three dimensions as well. Then the recommendations were raised.
The purposes of this study were 1) to identify the dimension of perceived service quality of fashion retail stores in the basis of expanded marketing mix, 2) to investigate the effect of each dimension on long-term orientation/customer satisfaction, trust, commitment and WOM/repurchase intention) on perceived service quality. The questionnaires were administered to 333 women shopped in a fashion retail store in Gwang-ju city. Data were analyzed by using exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, Cronbach' ${\alpha}$, and multi-regression analysis. The results were as follows: 1) The dimension of perceived service quality based on expanded marketing mix were classified as follow: product, price, place, promotion, people, physical evidence, process services. Long-term orientation was categorized into four factors: customer satisfaction, trust, commitment, WOM/repurchase intention. 2) For the effect of the perceived service quality by dimension, product, people, physical evidence, process services have significant effect on long-term orientation, while price, place, promotion services have not significant.
Studies on online review have carried out analysis of the rating and topic as a whole. However, it is necessary to analyze opinions on various dimensions of service quality. This study classifies reviews of healthcare services into service quality dimensions, and proposes a method to identify words that are mainly referred to in each dimension. Service quality was based on the dimensions provided by SERVQUAL, and patient reviews have collected from NHSChoice. The 2,000 sentences sampled were classified into service quality dimension of SERVQUAL and a method of extracting important keywords from sentences by service quality dimension was suggested. The RAKE algorithm is used to extract key words from a single document and an index is considered to consider frequently used words in various documents. Since we need to identify key words in various reviews, we have considered frequency and discrimination (IDF) at the same time, rather than identifying key words based only on the RAKE score. In SERVQUAL dimension, we identified the words that patients mentioned mainly, and also identified the words that patients mainly refer to by review rating.
As the products which innovated usability have succeeded in the market, the usability of products is now considered as a new dimension of product design. This paper deals with the following questions: How has usability been embedded in the design and development of products? In the usability context, why have some breakthrough products succeeded commercially and others failed? What should be learned from the successes and the failures? For the purpose of discussing these questions, the photography industry was examined and the results were used as an illustration of the important points.

The main aim of the paper is to provide an empirical analysis on patient satisfaction as an indicator of service quality in Malaysian public hospitals. Self-administered questionnaires were administered to patients by convenience sampling. Two sets of questionnaires were used, one for inpatient and another one set for outpatient. Selection of hospitals was made according to states in Peninsular Malaysia. 23 hospitals covering all state level hospitals, the National Referral Centre and selected district hospitals were chosen as respondent hospitals. Two dimensions of service quality emerged, namely clinical and physical dimension of service. Both outpatient and inpatient were found to be more satisfied with clinical dimension of service than physical dimension. For outpatient satisfaction, there was positive correlation between waiting time and patient satisfaction. Patient satisfaction was also found to be higher in the smaller district hospitals than in the larger state hospitals. For clinical dimension of service, patients were satisfied with the services of doctors and nurses, while for physical dimension of service, patients were satisfied with the cleanliness of the facilities. The ability of the research to be conducted by random sampling was inhibited by the reluctance of patients to cooperate, which led to the use of convenience sampling. Studies have also shown that patients are reluctant to express their feelings on services provided by their caregivers. The study provides primary data for a nationwide study on patient satisfaction in Malaysian public hospitals, for both inpatient and outpatient.
Statistics Korea has been diagnosis national statistics every year since 2006. They diagnosis over 200 kinds of national statistics. They have 7 quality dimension used for quality diagnosis. That is relevance, accuracy, Timeliness, Comparability, Coherence, Accessibility. Since we are interest in how well they produce national statistics, comparability has become the most important dimension recently. In this reason, Statistics Korea try to rating quality level and development comparability index for national statistics. The current exploratory study investigates and compares the perceptions of the service quality of in-flight meals through the evaluation of recent consumers (within 2 weeks) of services provided by Korean and foreign-based airlines. Twenty (20) items for measuring service quality were categorized into three factor dimensions of 'food quality', 'employee service', and 'professionalism'. Among these, 'employee service' was rated highest by Korean and foreign-based airlines. When items representing each service quality dimension were analyzed and compared, only the 'food quality' dimension of Korean-based airlines was perceived higher than that of other foreign-based airlines. Findings also revealed a spectrum with some items with higher or lower mean values within each service quality dimension. Results of this study can expectedly be used to benefit both from a theoretical and practical point of view by providing empirical data that measure the service quality of in-flight meal service.
Female customers form a major customer group for Internet shopping and their trust on Internet stores seems to be significantly related with their transactions. This paper focuses on female customers' trust on Internet stores, hypothesizing that online service quality has a positive impact on trust and that trust, in turn, together with service quality has a positive effect on loyalty. We investigate trust from three dimensions(benevolence, integrity, and ability) and at the same time, unlike existing research, treat service quality to have five dimensions (intangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy) as known in SERVQUAL(Parasuraman et al., 1988). Survey data is obtained from the female college student sample. Our research model is justified in terms of construct validity, internal consistency, and goodness of fit. Research hypotheses are tested using SEM(Structural Equation Modeling). The results are as follows: First, assurance and empathy dimensions of service quality have significant impacts on benevolence/integrity dimension of trust. Second, out of the five service quality dimensions, only assurance has a positive effect on ability dimension of trust. Third, assurance dimension of service quality and ability dimension of trust are positively related with customer loyalty. The most important factors for female customers' loyalty are found to be assurance(service quality) and ability(trust). The significance of assurance is in line with findings from existing research. But its relationship with the trust dimensions is uncovered in this research, and the only dimension that impacts on ability is assurance. We find that female customers build trust about internet stores based on their ability rather than on their benevolence/integrity and that the female customers' perception on the internet stores' ability can be improved by higher service quality from the aspect of assurance. Importantly enough, these findings offer practical guidelines to Internet stores to boost female customers' loyalty.
