  • The digital electronic switching system has some problems, when this system processes OAM(Operation, Administration And Maintenance) messages about the fault, the traffic, the account, and the performance, etc., at the present. One of these problems is that each the module processing these messages in the digital electronic switching system can not process OAM messages out of another digital electronic switching system. Each the module processing these OAM messages, that is, has been programmed in order to process only the OAM message out of the digital electronic switching system mounting itself, not to process the message out of the digital electronic switching system based on another platform. Therefore, we studied on methods that could process OAM messages out of all digital electronic switching systems and, first of all, developed the MGS(Message Gathering System) to be able to accept and process the fault message of OAM messages out of all digital electronic switching systems in real time.

  • Rapid development of information technology has generated a new industry and market. In particular, network technology such as the Internet and other computer networks made transaction activities switched from traditional offline commerce to e-commerce. Among them, digital content is bit-based object which is created and distributed through electronic environment. In particular, many entertainment contents such as the music, the movies, and the computer game softwares are main products. Although digital content commerce has high potential demand, it lacks the consideration about the factor related to maintaining existing customer such as customer loyalty and switching costs. There has been a number of research on customer loyalty and other factors affecting it in the traditional electronic commerce environment, but there is a lack of research which examines the characteristics of digital content. The study about the effect of switching costs on customer loyalty in digital content commerce is necessary because the customers of digital content commerce market are from those of other e-commerce market or traditional offline commerce market. In addition, customer loyalty and switching costs are important factors because they may build up greater customer retention. For that reason, this study focused on examining the relationships among switching costs, antecedents for switching costs, and customer loyalty in online digital music service industry. The study has three major purposes: (1) to find antecedents of switching costs on digital content commerce and examine effect of antecedents for switching costs; (2) to identify effect of switching costs on customer loyalty in digital content commerce and examine moderating effects of alternative attractiveness; (3) to identify the differences of antecedents for switching costs by contents transmission type(streaming service and downloading service). And, the online digital music service industry is selected in this study since there are many users and transactions incurring. To accomplish these purposes, a survey questionnaire was developed and distributed to 256 informants. Survey instrument was developed based on previous research and pre-established survey items. Total of 206 surveys are collected and used in the data analysis. Among the respondents, 56.8% is male and 43.2% is female. Also, 86 responses were streaming service user group and 120 responses were download service user group. These data was analyzed using regression analysis. Major findings of empirical analysis can be summarized as follows. First, switching costs have positive effect on customer loyalty in digital content commerce environment. Second, the influence of switching costs on customer loyalty increases under conditions of high alternative attractiveness. Third, DRM convenience and breadth of use have positive effect on switching costs. The findings imply that the digital content provider should pay more attention to switching costs in addition to customer satisfaction in order to attract customers. Also, increasing the convenience of DRM use by securing the convenience of user interface and expanding the support device and increasing the service use scope by providing diverse value-added service helps to create a switching barrier. The result of the study can become a practical use in marketing strategy for maintaining existing customer. In particular, switching barrier is very important under conditions of high competition in the online music service market. This study can be used as a basis for further studies about customer retention in digital content commerce.

  • Switching system can be regarded as the key node of Integrated Services Digital Networks(ISDN) because it plays the Important role in realization of ISDN. As ISDN is evolved from the telephony Integrated Digital Network(IDN), the switching system for ISDN will be evolved from the function and structure of telephony digital switching system. At near future, ISDN switching system is expected to implement the integrated access and transparent switching functions for both voice and data. As final goals of switching system, advanced switching methods for information having various traffic characteristics such as voice, data, text and image should be considered. This paper considered. This paper will show some of the fundamental design challenges and architectural trends in ISDN switching system.

  • This paper presents analysis, modeling, and design of a low-harmonic, isolated, active-clamped SEPIC for future avionics applications. Simpler converter dynamics, high switching frequency, zero voltage-Transition-PWM switching, and a single-layer transformer construction result. This paper describes complete design of a digital controller for a high-frequency switching power supply. Guidelines for the minimum required resolution of the analog-to-digital converter, the pulse-width modulator, and the fixed-point computational unit is derived. A design example based on a SEPIC converter operating at the high switching frequency is presented. The controller design is based on direct digital design approach and standard root-locus techniques.

  • Modern telecommunication switching systems are SPC (Stored Program Control) machines handling voice, data and other kinds of traffic, in an environment which tends to be fully digital switching and transmission. The throughput of such systems is determined by the real time capacity of its centralized or distributed control processors and by the traffic capacity of the switching network. Designers must verify the traffic and call processing capacity of the switching system and check its performance under traffic load before it is put into service. Verification of traffic and call processing capacity of switching systems is one of the problems treated by teletraffic studies; teletraffic studies are based on stochastic process, queueing theory, simulations and other quantitative methods of decision making. This paper reviews the general methodologies to evaluate the throughput and performance of the digital switching system. TDX-10, which is a fully digital switching system under development in ETRI, is employed to give illustrative examples of the methodologies discussed in this paper.

  • An efficient inductive switching noise suppression technique for mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs) using standard CMOS digital technology is proposed. The proposed design technique uses a parallel RC circuit, which provides a damping path for the switching noise. The proposed design technique is used for designing a mixed-signal circuit composed of a ring oscillator, a digital output buffer, and an analog noise sensor node for $0.13-{\mu}m$ CMOS digital IC technology. Simulation results show a 47% reduction in the on-chip inductive switching noise coupling from the noisy digital to the analog blocks in the same substrate without an additional propagation delay. The increased power consumption due to the damping resistor is only 67% of that of the conventional source damping technique. This design can be widely used for any kind of analog and high frequency digital mixed-signal circuits in CMOS technology

  • A new high efficiency and low profile on-board DC/DC converter for digital car audio amplifiers is proposed. The proposed converter shows low conduction loss due to the low voltage stress of the secondary diodes, a lack of DC magnetizing current for the transformer, and a lack of stored energy in the transformer. Moreover, since the primary MOSFETs are turned-on under zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) conditions and the secondary diodes are turned-off under zero-current-switching (ZCS) conditions, the proposed converter has minimized switching losses. In addition, the input filter can be minimized due to a continuous input current, and an output inductor is absent in the proposed converter. Therefore, the proposed converter has the desired features, high efficiency and low profile, for a viable power supply for digital car audio amplifiers. A 60W industrial sample of the proposed converter has been implemented for digital car audio amplifiers with a measured efficiency of $88.3\%$ at nominal input voltage.

  • To ensure reliable and secure communication in heterogeneous cellular network (HCN) with imperfect channel state information (CSI), we proposed a coordinated multipoint (CoMP) transmission scheme based on dual-threshold optimization, in which only base stations (BSs) with good channel conditions are selected for transmission. First, we present a candidate BSs formation policy to increase access efficiency, which provides a candidate region of serving BSs. Then, we design a CoMP networking strategy to select serving BSs from the set of candidate BSs, which degrades the influence of channel estimation errors and guarantees qualities of communication links. Finally, we analyze the performance of the proposed scheme, and present a dual-threshold optimization model to further support the performance. Numerical results are presented to verify our theoretical analysis, which draw a conclusion that the CoMP transmission scheme can ensure reliable and secure communication in dense HCNs with imperfect CSI.
