A Design and Implementation of the Multilingual RDD Registry (다중언어 RDD 레지스트리의 설계 및 구현)

  • This paper deals nth the Multilingual Registry for the Rights Data Dictionary (RDD), which will be used for the semantic representation of rights on digital contents in MPEG-21 framework. The translation of RDD terms owing to different language populations often lacks the desirable precision. The purpose of this paper Is to demonstrate the Multilingual RDD Registry concept to achieve a more precise and interoperable translation of RDD terms among different DRM systems.

  • There have been researches into digital Watermarking technology or Fingerprinting vigorously to safeguard Protective rights for knowledge and poverty for digital contents. DRM(Digital Rights Management) is not only Protective rights for knowledge and poverty, but also management and systems that are necessary to put out, circulate and use for contents. This paper proposes two kinds of ideas. One is protecting contents from illegal acts such as illegal copies when the contents are in the process of circulation. The other is the protocol that can give users convenience. Hidden Agents are used so that contents are protected from illegal copies and illegal use in the contents and cuts off those illegal acts. The Agent will be installed without any special setup. In addition, it can replace roles of Watermarking as a protection. Therefore, this paper shows the solution of illegal copies that happens frequently.

  • Beyond the digital world from the analog age, the contents are very easily copied under the illegal conditions and these are rapidly distributed by the information super highway. The increase of illegal usage and conflict in digital content market would diminish motivation of creators for their work, furthermore break down digital content market on cyberspace. Watermarking technology support to the legal users by the protection technique based on the digital content copyright protection method(DRM). Most of previous digital watermarking have embeded to the content. In this paper, we researched the standardization of digital rights management and developed more efficient watermark embedding method.

  • The usage increase of digital contents required solution for protection technology and interoperability of system. MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group) proposed MPEG-21 Multimedia Frameworks. MPEG-21 IPMP is standard that provides the means to enable digital item and rights information to be persistently managed and protected across networks and devices. In this paper, MPEG-21 IPMP based system to protect digital contents designed by four structures of license server, production server, consumption server, tool server. License server create rights information document using the XML-based REL about multimedia contents of users. Production server makes a digital item by packaging multimedia resource and metadata, which is combined by REL information and IPMP information of multimedia resource. Consumption server takes care of the functions of players that use digital item, and tool server was implement to transmit for missing tool that might occur in all procedures.

  • The Internet technologies allows anybody who has connect a network to access various multimedia information. But, it brings new issues about the violation of intellectual property and copyright of multimedia contents. Digital right managements have been actively studied as approaches to solve them. In this paper, we propose license-based schemes for the protection of contents and its rights on digital right management. The proposed schemes provide limited distribution and superdistribution of contents, and guarantee to securely use contents by usage rules.

  • Due to illegal copying and distribution via the internet, the digital media that have been introduced create certain intellectual property issues. Because of this, several intellectual property groups have been created to create and maintain Digital Rights Management systems (DRM), in order to crack down on illegal and unauthorized copying. However, these systems are often created by many different companies, which leads to problems of interoperability. In this paper, we designed and implemented a DRM system with streamer, following the DMP.

  • Due to the rapid popularization of mobile multimedia devices and the Internet as well as the realization of high-speed data transmission and large-volume data recording media, high quality content distribution and ubiquitous information services are making progress and a new type of information distribution and network sharing service has gradually emerged into the market. It is capable of utilizing terabyte sized home servers also in private homes. Under these circumstances, in distribution of content over shared networks, it is crucial to establish DRM (Digital Rights Management) technologies to protect the content from illegal copying and usage. A truly successful DRM system must be built on open worldwide specifications and provide maximum interoperability and user acceptance. An open interoperability of DRM is able to construct highly expandable PKI based DRM, targeting usage between systems, considering the expansion of recent content distribution services and clients This document gives protocol specifications for the exchange of rights information between the DRM module, description of specifications for rights information and encrypted content formats.

  • License mechanisms are the key elements in almost all DRM(digital rights management) systems. The license mechanisms are designed for the clear identification and enforcement of contents, principals, and usage rules in DRM systems. But current license mechanisms are lacking in the flexibility for the secure and efficient sharing of the contents among the members of a group such as a family or a part of an enterprise. This paper suggests a new license mechanism for efficient and secure sharing of contents in DRM systems among the members of a group. We named it member/group license mechanism. The mechanism extends the current license mechanisms by introducing new concepts such as group licenses, member licenses, and derivation relationships between licenses.

  • There is no substantive enactment in our country to regulate testifier's false statement in the process of investigation under current law. In consideration of such investigation reality, there exist predominant view that the regulations against testifier's untrue statement are necessary to fine actual truth on criminal justice. However, such view is not quite agreeable, for it holds a probability that excessive investigation rights might cause infringement on personal rights. It's because of human rights protection that the criminal justice puts before the finding of actual truth as its biggest principle, and as we see above, any testifiers' untrue statement are already punishable, although restrictive, through interpretation of deceptive scheme under current law such as obstruction of justice, crimes of sheltering or flying a criminal or calumny.
