Objectives This study has been conducted to verify frequently used herbs and herbal formulas to treat obesity in Korea during 2015 to 2019. Methods Publications related to treatment of obesity using herbal medicines from 2015 to 2019 were retrieved from 12 databases (PubMed, EMBASE, Scopus, China National Knowledge Infrastructure [CNKI], Koreanstudies Information Service System [KISS], National Digital Science Library [NDSL], Research Information Sharing Service [RISS], DBPIA, KMBASE, KoreaMed, KoreanTK, Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System [OASIS]). Extracted articles were analyzed in terms of publication year, journal, and type of herbs. Results A total of 136 studies have been included in this study. 33 herbal formulaes and 129 herbs have been analyzed. Taeyeumjowui-tang was the most frequently studied herbal formulae and Ephedrae Herba was the most frequently studied herb. Ginseng Radix was the most frequently studied single herb in isolation from herbal formulae. Conclusions These results suggest that various herbs and herbal formulae can be used to treat obesity. Since this study includes every type of study, additional studies based on clinic are thought to be necessary.

This study examines the fashion illustrations textbooks that have been published in the domestic market, and identifies its characteristics and problems in regards to its use in developing creative students. The purpose of the study is to propose ways to improve the development of the fashion illustration textbooks. The research method of this study are as follows: First, the teaching materials on fashion illustration in Korea were researched to examine the current state of publication. Second, its contents were analyzed to identify its characteristics. Third, an improvement plan of educational materials on fashion illustration in Korea were proposed. As for the scope of study, 18 volumes of fashion illustration teaching materials published in Korea during 2004-2014 were targeted. It should be noted that translated publications, digital fashion illustration materials and teaching materials for specialized and professional organizations were excluded. Conclusions of this study are as follows: First, examination of the textbooks revealed that additional content is needed regarding theoretical understanding of fashion illustration, as well as illustrations of men and children, as there was an insufficient amount of those topics. Second, the contents on the illustration application using current trends were lacking in the unit on illustration application. Accordingly, it is necessary to develop contents that reflect these trends. Lastly, the textbooks should be packaged with compact discs CDs containing video clips to assist students to get a better grasp of the material. The result of this study can be used to develop new teaching materials on fashion illustration, and be utilized as basic information in the curriculum design of fashion illustration.

The aims of this study were to provide a global overview of research trends in information science and to trace its changes in the main research topics over time using trends analysis. The study examined the topics of research articles published in Journal of Korean Society for Information Management between 1984 and 2009. Rather than taking a single snapshot of a given point in time, this study attempted to present a series of such pictures in order to identify trends over time. The fairly arbitrary decision was taken to divide the period under consideration into three 'publication windows': 1984-1994, 1995-2002, 2003-2009. The study revealed that the most productive areas were 'Information Service', followed by 'Information Organization', and 'Information System'. The most productive sub-areas were 'Library Service', 'User Study', 'Automatic Document Analysis', 'ILS', 'Thesaurus/Ontology', and 'Digital Library'. From the comparisons of intellectual structures of title keywords, the key research area in the field of Information Science was 'Information Retrieval'. The studies of IT applications and service system evaluation have been expanded.

This study analyzed the contracts for library remuneration, amount of the remuneration, average amount of the remuneration in relation to kinds of libraries, distribution of the remuneration, and types and publication year of the works to be collected remuneration based on the data during 2004~2014 from the KORRA. As results, current library remuneration system has limitations for libraries to digitize and transmit to the public their collections, Also, there are some limitations to the protection for copyright holders because the amount of the remuneration collected from libraries has declined and non distribution remuneration has been so high. This study suggested that the library remuneration system needs to be revised considering the scope of library materials to be digitized and predicted frequency of use. Also, the better practical solution to protect copyright holders is not a raise of the library remuneration but the efficient use of the non distribution remuneration.

Objectives The impact of social and economic losses on society due to the occurrence of osteoporosis patients is serious. The purpose of this study is to identify the types and effects of herbal medicine for osteoporosis and osteopenia. Methods We will investigate 8 online databases (MEDLINE/PubMed, Cochrane library, EMbase, China National Knowledge Infrastructure [CNKI], J-stage, National Digital Science Library [NDSL], Research Information Sharing Service [RISS], Koreanstudies Information Service System [KISS]) without language, publication date limitation for the clinical study of herbal medicine for osteoporosis and osteopenia published between the start of the database and 2021. The frequency, duration and pattern of the any type of herbal medicine utilization will be analyzed. Results Randomized controlled trials about herbal medicine or herbal medicine extracts for osteoporosis and osteopenia should be included in the study. Cochrane risk in bias tools will be used to evaluate the methodological quality of the study. A risk ratio or mean difference with a 95% confidence interval will show the effects of herbal medicine or herbal medicine extracts for osteoporosis and osteopenia. Conclusions The results of the systematic review will reflect the current status of herbal medicine treatment for osteoporosis and osteopenia, and it can be expected to verify the validity of the effectiveness, and provide it as a basic data for the use of herbal medicine in clinical utilization.

With the recent growth of information technology, various literacy such as digital literacy, data literacy, AI literacy is being studied. In this paper, we focus on data visualization literacy as visualization is an essential part of big data analysis and is used in several mobile apps. Visualization Literacy Assessment Test(VLAT) was developed in 2016 and we introduce how the test was developed and modified to a Korean version, K-VLAT. K-VLAT is consisted of 12 visualizations and 53 questions through a website. Additionally, to understand the research trend in visualization literacy we analyzed 81 papers that had cited the VLAT publication. We categorized the research into 4 categories with 11 sub-categories. The area of studies visualization literacy related to was understanding the relation with cognition, expanding the literacy measures, relation with education, utilization for developing user-centric dashboards or using the test to show effectiveness of visualizations. At last, we discuss about different ways to utilize K-VLAT for future research.

Outcome of election depends on which candidate of politics uses more original and creative idea for Ads and PR of election in election campaign strategy of political campaign. Especially, since political Ads and PR are the ways of capturing voters' sensitivities with one line of copy(slogan) and one image, Ads and PR are very important. This research analyzes unique and creative trend of political campaigns which are used in each unit election which is held four times(2010. 6 2 local election, 2011. 10 26 by-election, 2012. 4 11 general election, 2012. 12 19 presidential election) during 2010~2012. For analysis, search analysis of text and image used in video, internet, booklet type of Ads and PR material for election, and election campaign. Video is used in election campaign during election period. Unique and creative political campaign is customized micro-marketing election strategy trend which tries to fit for tendency of backing including gender, age group, social atmosphere, etc. This research excludes the degree of success of this election strategy from subject of analysis.

Science and technology contents (research papers, patents, reports) are the most common reference material for researchers involved in research and development in the fields of science and technology. Based on various search elements (title, abstract, keyword, year of publication, name of journal, name of author, publisher, etc.), many services are available for users to search science and technology contents and bibliographic information owned by libraries. Authority data on organization name can be useful as an element for author identification and as an element to search for results produced by specific organizations. However, organization name is not taken into account by current search services for domestic academic information and bibliographic records. This study analyzes organization name data contained in the metadata of science and technology contents, which are the basis of the establishment of authority data, and proposes a method and system based on string containment and exact string matching.

Recently, traditional books based on printing on the paper have expanded to e-book media in smart device because of developing digital technology. Especially, app book applied application makes users' experience increase and provides immersion to them, because it allows them basically delivering information, educational effect and fun elements with multimedia technology. There are various experimental trials to make enhance effect of reformatting for application media. The purpose of this study is to analyze reformatting effect for app book with funology which is convergence of digital technology and a fun. Then this article would provide design guide and be applied to new application contents. For this research, the first of all, we would discuss concept and elements of funology by publication including thesis, articles, and books. Secondly, this article will be focused on 'Moo, Baa, La La La!' which is reformatting application for iPad to analyze type of funology. Thirdly, we would make sure that app book makes users get emotional effect comparing original book by FGI(Focus Group Interview). In conclusion, sensitive funology used the sound allows user emotional effect and they prefer to intuitive and immediate motion and response of interactive funology. In other way, funology of fun in itself which is strong concept in original book diminishes in app book. Then users concentrate interactive factors like game structure. This results make that app books could be created by strength of original contents and advantage of funology. Therefore this makes us expect the possibility of reformatting effect with funology and we need to discuss the points of issue that there are considerations and limitations to successful app book for users.

This review aims to identify the virtual reality (VR)-based home modification programs and provide basic data for the future development and application of domestic VR-based home modification programs. We collected the studies of academic publication or conference, symposium addressed VR-based home modification from January 2011 to June 2021 using hand searching and databases such as Medline, Embase, and Scopus. A total of 7 studies were selected through selection criteria, and the studies were quantitative and qualitative studies on the development of VR prototype for home modification and the acceptability and usability of the programs. VR-based home modification have been developed and applied for various purposes for stakeholders involved in home modification. It can be used as the tools for fostering experts in home modification, evaluating the home environment remotely, and facilitating communication and collaboration with the stakeholders in the modification process. In the future, studies on development and feasibility of VR-based home modification program reflecting the characteristics of domestic housing should be conducted, and it is expected to be utilized as a tool to support the home modification process.
