  • This paper presents a system for a billing system that can be used to motet dynamic priority users in IntServ operation over DiffServ network. Our billing system is designed to authentication, accounting, metering using Remote Authentication Dial In User Service (RADUS). we present packet pricing model of three different service classes which is Best, Good, Default service in IntServ operation over DiffServ network. The packet pricing model can present users with prices and charges in a way that encourages efficient network use. In this model, the RSVP is used, which is resource management to QoS routing function in the IntServ network.

  • The differentiated service architecture is based on a simple model by applying a per-class service in the core node of the network. However, due to the simplified network behavior, the network structure and provisioning were more complicated. If a service provider wants the dynamic provisioning or better bandwidth guarantee, signaling protocol with QoS parameters or admission control method should be deployed in DiffServ network. However, these methods increase the complexity. Therefore, we proposed DPM2 mechanism for admission control in the DiffServ network. In this paper, we describe and survey the admission control methods that are applicable to IP networks and propose also the dynamic provisioning mechanism based on the bandwidth broker and distributed measurement based admission control and movable boundary bandwidth management to support heterogeneous QoS services in differentiated service networks. For the performance evaluation for proposed mechanism, we used ns-2 simulator.

  • Next generation wireless network is evolving toward IP-based network that can various provide multimedia services. A challenge in wireless mobile Internet is support of quality of service over wireless access networks. DiffServ architecture is proposed for evolving wireless mobile Internet. In this paper we propose an algorithm for optimal buffer partitioning which requires the minimal channel capacity to satisfy the QoS requirements of input traffic. We used a partitioned buffer with size B to serve a layered traffic at each DiffServ router. We consider a traffic model with a single source generates traffic having J $(J\geq2)$ quality of service (QoS) classes. QoS in this case is described by loss probability $\varepsilon_j$. for QoS class j. Traffic is admitted or rejected based on the buffer occupancy and its service class. Traffic is generated by heterogeneous Markov-modulated fluid source (MMFS).

  • To support diverse transmission requirements of multimedia applications, Quality of Service (QoS) should be provided in the Internet, where only the best-effort service is available. In this paper, we describe our recent effort on the implementation and verification of an extendable and flexible QoS allocation and resource management system based on the bandwidth broker model for realizing the IETF differentiated service (DiffServ). Focusing on the bandwidth issue over single administrative domain, the implemented system provides real-time resource reservation and allocation, delayed call admission control, simple QoS negotiation between sewer and users, and simple resource monitoring. The implemented system is verified by evaluating the performance of a resource-intensive application over the real-world testbed network.

  • As Internet users and network traffics are explosively increased, many researches have been done to provide fast and guaranteed Internet services. The results of these efforts are Multiprotocol Lab el Switching(MPLS) and differentiated service(Diff serv) emerging as a next generation backbone net work. In this paper, we make a research on gearing (or interworking) two technology needed to support end-to-end QoS and explain sequential procedure. And we simulate the L-LSP/E-LSP proposed by Working Group of IETF to be deployed to the DiffServ module which is implemented based on the MPLS network simulator and analyze the performance of the simulation result.

  • MANET(Mobile Ad-hoc NETwork), a network characterized that its moving nodes freely constructs Network topology, has other different characteristics. Because Policy based Network Management in MANET guarantees QoS between nodes, it is essential in applied areas like VANET which targets safety and convenience. In this paper, we use COPS-PR which is appropriate Policy Exchange Protocol for MANET, and implement DiffServ-based QoS in the real networks and experiment its capability.

  • Recent advances in Telecommunication and Internet have how made it possible to break the space-time barriers and allow physicians to deliver health care to patients at any time and any place, having led to a new branch of computer applications called Telemedicine System. In Telemedcine, Network and I/O performance requirements are generally more important than computing capability. Accordingly, this thesis is aimed at inquiring into how to satisfy QoS guarantee of network to compensate for the defects of the existing best-effort services and suggesting how to solve network bottleneck problem. using DiffServ in Telemedicine service system through Internet.

  • Recently there are increasing needs for Internet and various kinds of contents. These traffics for various contents need more amount of data to provide high-quality information and require various QoS depending on the characteristics of contents. However, current Internet service supports BE (Best Effort) service only, therefore IntServ (Integrated Service) scheme and DiffServ (Differentiated Service) scheme are represented to support QoS in IP layer. Moreover, while wireless Internet is getting popular, MAC(Medium Access Control) is also becoming important. This is due to the fact that wireless access, resource allocation and packet scheduling, which are done in another layers before, are performed in MAC layer in many new wireless systems. This paper describes new scheme that provides QoS taking into account the traffic characteristics over Mobile IPv6 network based on IEEE 802.11e EDCF and evaluates the performance through computer simulation.
