  • PUF technology is to prevent a copy of information from digital device and it can be seen whether cloning through its difference for process of implementation corresponding to wire and gate delay, etc. In this paper, multiple dielectric slabs on digital device is investigated to implement physical crypto device based on coating PUF type and its reflection characteristics is analyzed.

Electrical and Optical Characteristics of X/65/35 (X=6~11) PLZT Thin Films Prepared by Sol-Gel Method (Sol-Gel법으로 제작한 X/65/35 (X=6~11) PLZT 박막의 전기 및 광학 특성)

  • In this study, PLZT stock solutions around x/65/35 (x=6~11) ferroelectric region were prepared by Sol-Gel method and deposited on ITO-glass by spin-coating method. The thin films were annealed by RTA(rapid thermal annealing). The variations of crystallographic structure of the thin films were observed using XRD and hysteresis curves, dielectric characteristics, and optical transmittances were measured in order to investigate the characteristics of the thin films. The thin films were crystallized at $750^{\circ}C$ for 5 min by RTA. Relative dielectric constant and optical transmittance increased with increasing La content, Ec and Pr were higher for thin films than for bulk materials.

  • We have successfully fabricated the alumina thick films using inkjet printing processes without a high temperature sintering process. Alumina suspension as dielectric ink was formulated by combining nano-sized alumina powders with an anionic polymer dispersant in formamide/water as co-solvent. The thickness of the printed alumina thick film was measured at around 5 um by field emission scanning electron microscope. The calculated packing density of 68.5 % from the printed alumina thick film was much higher than the same films fabricated by conventional casting or dip coating processes. Q factor of the dielectrics thick film infiltrated with cyanate ester resin was evaluated by impedance analyzer.

  • This paper describes the machining characteristics of the MoSi$_2$-based composites by electric discharge drilling with various tubular electrodes. MoSi$_2$-based composites has been developed in new materials for jet engine of supersonic-speed airplanes and gas turbine for high- temperature generator. By combining a nonconducting ceramics with more conducting ceramic it was possible to raise the electrical conductivity. In drilling by EDM, the dielectric flushed down the interior of the rotating tube electrode, in order to facilitate the removal of machining debris from the hole. Various metal-coated tubular electrodes of which core are copper and brass are used to know the effect of coating material on machinability of ED drilling.

  • The surface breakdown problem has plagued the development of high solid state for more than 30 years, but the physical basis for this flashover phenomenon is still not understood. The only way to overcome those problem and has a workable compact solid state switch is to passivate the surface by a solid state dielectric material, to coating/encapsulation the device in an insulting medium. In this paper, characteristics of flashover in high field Si-dielectric system behavior under high electric field is discussed.

  • In this paper, PZT(20/80) thick films were fabricated by the screen-printing method. And the PZT(80/20) coating solution was synthesized by the sol-gel method. PZT(20/80) thick films were screen-printed on the alumina substrates. PZT(80/20) thin film was spin-coated on the PZT(20/80) thick films to obtain densification. And the structural and electrical properties of PZT thick films were investigated with variation of sintering temperature. The PZT specimen sintered at $650^{\circ}C$ showed good relative dielectric constant of 219 and dielectric loss of 2.45%. Also the remanent polarization and the coercive field were $16.48{\mu}C/cm^2$ and 35.48kV/cm, respectively.

  • [ 0-3PbTiO_3/P$ ](VDF/TrFE) nanocomposites thin films for passive pyroelectric infrared sensor have been fabricated by two-step spin coating technique. 65 wt% VDF and 35 wt% TrFE was formed to a P(VDF/TrFE) poder Nano size $PbTiO_3$ powder was used. 0-3 connectivity of $PbTiO_3$(VDF/TrFE) composites film is achieved and also observed by SEM photography successfully. The dielectric constant, and pyroelectric coefficient measured and compared with P (VDF/TrFE). A very low dielectric constant (13.48 at 1 kHz) and high enough pyroelectric coefficient (3.101 $nC/cm^2$.k at $50^{circ}C$) neasured. This nanocomposites can be used for a new pyroelectric infrared sensor for better performance.

  • In recent, the concept of system-on-package (SOP) for highly integrated multifunctional systems has been paid attention to for the miniaturization and high frequency of electronic devices. In order to realize SOP, co-integration of passive devices, such as capacitors, resistors and inductors, and active devices should be achieved. If ceramic thick films can be grown at room temperature, we expect to be able to overcome many problems in conventional fabrication processes. So, we focused on the aerosol deposition method (ADM) as room temperature fabrication technology. ADM is a novel ceramic coating method based on the Room Temperature Impact Consolidation (RTIC) phenomena. This method has a wide range potential for fabrication of co-integration of passive and active devices. In this paper, I will present the future potential of ADM introducing various ceramic dielectric thick films for the integration of electronic ceramics.

Epoxylite Influence on Field Electron Emission Properties of Tungsten and Carbon Fiber Tips

  • This investigation deals with the process of field electron emission from composite microemitters. Tested emitters consisted of a tungsten or carbon-fiber core, coated with a dielectric material. Two coating materials were used: (1) Clark Electromedical Instruments Epoxylite resin and (2) Epidian 6 Epoxy resin (based on bisphenol A). Various properties of these emitters were measured, including the current-voltage characteristics, which are presented as Fowler-Nordheim plots, and the corresponding electron emission images. A field electron microscope with a tip (cathode) to screen (anode) distance of 10 mm was used to electrically characterize the emitters. Measurements were carried out under ultra-high vacuum conditions with a base pressure of $10^{-6}$ Pascal ($10^{-8}$ mbar).
