리클라이너 용 섹터기어의 파인 블랭킹 성형을 위한 금형의 최적화 (Optimization of Mold for Fineblanking Forming of Sector Gear for Recliner)

  • To optimization of mlod for fineblanking forming of sector gear of recliner, it was analyzed the effect of clearance, V-ring height, V-ring position, blank holding force and counter punch force. In case of 0.003 mm of clearancs, the finest shear plane was obtained, but optimization between die and punch clearance was 0.005 mm. The height of V-ring was 0.7 mm. In case of increasing of hold force, the size of shear plane got better and the decrement of thickness became smaller. Both the size of shear plane and the decrement of thickness increased according to increasing of counter punch force.

  • LTCC(Low temperature co-fired ceramic) is being recognized as a significant packaging material of electrical devices for the advantages such as relatively low temperature being needed for process, low conductor resistance and high printing resolution. In the process of LTCC electrical devices, the punched via-hole quality is one of the most important factors on the performance of the device. However, its mechanism is very complicated and optimization of the process seems difficult. In this paper, to clarify the process, via-hole punching experiments were carried out and the punched holes were examined in terms of their burr formation. The effects of thickness of PET sheet, ceramic sheet and punch-to- die clearance on via-hole quality were also discussed. Optimum process conditions are proposed and a factor $\kappa$ is introduced to express effect of the process variables.

  • The design of experiments are used for optimal design of formed tools to machine automobile bearing rubber seal die, which is classified into the high precision rubber mold. The clearance angle, rake angle and the length cutting edge are considered as the factors. The cutting force is selected to be a characteristic value and compared with the mean tool wear and life by repeated experiments. The design of the experiment is based on the repeated one-way factorial design, which finds the significance of the factors and the best level to predict the tool life by using ANOVA and regression.

정밀전단금형에서 판누름압력과 삼각돌기가 전단특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Blankholding force and Vee-ring on the Blanking characteristics in Fine-Blanking Die)

  • This study was performed the blankholding force and Vee-ring effects on blanking characteristics, such as maximum blanking force, burnish, dish-shape, hardness. etc. in fine-blanking die by the experimental method. Two types of aluminum (Al.1050-O, Al, 5052-H) Such as annealed and unannealed materials were used for the experiment. In order to get a hydrostatic pressure effect, the clearance was set to 0.5% of the thickness of strip, and the counter punch and stripper plate with Vee-ring was set-up. While this experiment was carry8ing out, the average blanking velocity was constant (37.5mm/sec). As a result of this study, we got a good surface roughness and a dimensions, the good squareness and the reduction of dish-shape could be obtained, and also the additional results obtained were such that the hardness of shear plane was increased and the maximum blanking force was reduce in the condition of Vee-ring height of 1.0~1.5mm, and blankholding force of 1200kg.

냉간단조 스퍼어기어의 치수정밀도 (Dimensional Accuracies of Cold-Forged Spur Gears)

  • Recently it is attempted to manufacture gears by various cold forging methods to meet requirements of mass production and uniform qualities. Compared to machined gears cold forged ears reveal higher tooth strength and better surface roughness but they reveal lower geometrical accuracies. Therefore in the present study a series of experiments are performed to investigate relations between geometrical accuracies of dies and billet and those of the final product. The geometrical accuracies of forged gears are considered through functional gear-element tolerances by measuring pitch error profile error lead error radial error tooth thickness and rolling test. Results of the experiments can be summarized as follows: (1) involute spur gears of KS 5(or AGMA7) accuracies can be made,(2) concentricity of die set should be maintained within 0.01mm (3) clearance between the billet and die set should be less than 0.1mm (4) con-centricity and radial runout should be less than 0.08mm and 0.1mm respectively. However it is thought that FEM analysis of elastic/thermal deformations of dies and the billet is necessary for a better understanding of the findings obtained through the present study.

  • Formed insert type tool satisfy both the surface roughness and geometric accuracy, so that cutting edge of formed tool can duplicate final feature. For experiment the formed tools with various clearance angles are machined. And the tools are evaluated with respect cutting force, flank rear and surface roughness to optimistic condition.

  • The purpose of this study is investigating the joint characteristics of advanced high strength steel DP780 and Al5052 alloy sheet in the clinching process. It is difficult to join the advanced high strength steel with light-weight materials like aluminum alloy, because of low formability of DP780. The defects of clinching joint such as necking of the upper sheet, cracks of the lower sheet and no interlocking were occurred by different ductility between advanced high strength steel and aluminum alloy. The clinching conditions should be optimized to interlock without any defects. In this study, the effect of process parameters of clinching process on joinability of advanced high strength steel with Al5052 alloy was investigated by using FE-analysis. From the result of FE-analysis, the clearance between clinching punch and die, die depth and the shape of die cavity mainly affected the joinability of advanced high strength steel with Al5052 alloy.

고속 절삭가공시 절삭열의 거동에 관한 연구 (A study on the behaviour of cutting heat at high speed cutting work)

  • It is generally known that in high speed work with more than 1000 m/min cutting speed, according to the work material phenomenon of tool wearing is increased due to the some produced neat and as a result this makes the cutting work impossible. In this study, the high speed cutting is possible because of the different cutting from the presently known fact. That is, most of generated heats influence on the quantity flowing in chip greatly. Therfore, this study aims at the behavior of cutting heat generated at high speed cutting. It makes clearly the euqntity of heat flowing in chip, work materal, tool, and inflowing ratio. The cutting mechanism varies by the changing of cutting depth, slant face and contact area through this study. And it is exammined that the influence of heat of all parts is greatly due to the change the contact length of clearance face. It is confirmed from the exp[eriment that the inflowing heat ratio influences the cutting speed greatly and the heat of clearance face can not be disregarded.
